La Raza claims a scalp
This is a damned shame. Drummed out of office by the ethnic mau-mau-ers because of her affilation with the Minutemen:
Frances Semler, the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners appointee whose membership in the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps caused a political controversy for Mayor Mark Funkhouser, has resigned.
In a statement faxed to area media outlets, including The Kansas City Star, Semler writes “ENOUGH, I am resigning.” In the letter she cites repeated and ongoing personal attacks against her character as a reason, and blasts her most vocal opponents and levels her own criticisms at Kansas City Police Chief Jim Corwin and unnamed City Council members, saying some on the council have made “vicious, false and irresponsible claims about me.”
Also apparently, in recent days, Semler has taken issue with comments made in published reports by Mayor Mark Funkhouser and his wife, Gloria Squitiro.
“I do believe I have been a positive asset. There are many projects I eagerly wanted to pursue,” Semler writes. But after reading quotes from Funkhouser in the The Star last week, “I feel BETRAYED.”

Funkhouser in June appointed Semler, a neighborhood association president, to be the sole Northland representative on the five-member park board.
The appointment triggered sharp protests from several minority organizations, including the National Council of La Raza, In October, of La Raza voted to pull its convention from Kansas City, at a projected loss of $5 million, because of Semler’s connection to the Minutemen, a divisive group that takes a hardline stance on immigration issues.
On Jan. 15, the leader if the Southern Christian Leadership Conference said that the SCLC had decided to move it’s convention from Kansas City to New Orleans and would call for a boycott of Kansas City if Semler was not removed from the park board.
Rita Valenciano, head of the local Coalition of Hispanic Organizations, said Semler’s decision to step down was a welcome outcome. But she, added, she would have preferred if the mayor had taken action himself.
Semler had offered to resign last year when controversy first erupted over her appointment, but Funkhouser declined the notion and publicly backed her appointment.
“It’s something that should have been taken care of in the very beginning,” she said. “It was a lack of leadership … my concern is if the mayor is going to accept her resignation.”
Before launching into her criticisms of city officials, Semler writes “as a United States citizen I have always felt able to express my views freely. Out of respect for the Mayor, I have allowed my voice to be stilled. No longer.”

This is sick. Enough already. 29 incursions and we still put up with Mexico? We still put up with the Mexican KKK (La raza)? Enough already. Mexican flags flying on businesses with no Old Glory flying above that Piece of S Flag? Enough already.
I’m sure the new appointee will have a surname that La Racists find equitable.
I hope she sues for defamation.
We can expect more sleazy, underhanded attacks, we’ve been throwing rocks at a foundation and taxpayer funded giant, now they’ve reorganized, refunded and on the PC attack.
The Mexican government has an even larger role than before, all tolerated by our back stabbing bastards in office.
Hopefully the same thing will happen as last year, Americans must stand up and say no more.

So, it’s not enough that she is no longer impeding their way… They wanted her head on a platter (you’re fired!). Again, why do these people have to be so cold and calculating? Also, call me crazy, shouldn’t they be prepared to face opposition? If they aren’t then they need to go back to the drawing board.
Instead they utilize the tried and true, strong-arming tactic. Correctly assuming that if they apply enough pressure and eventually we’ll all succumb. I’m sure Frances gave it all she had but we can’t have those who are at the frontlines folding under pressure. This, I am afraid sets a bad precedent.
Here in Kansas City this has been a loud, ongoing issue since the Mayor was elected. The thing I found most offensive was the Star advocating, no, insisting, actually, demanding that Ms Semler lose her job based on her private political beliefs. When asked by other media, letters, and pundits how they would feel if it was the other way, for example, she was part of NARAL and a pro-life convention wanted to cancel, they were remarkably silent.
It appears that the powers that be in KC support La Raza. Hey that’s ok with me, I only need to know where they stand. I’m going to start recommending KC to every La raza type I come across. When one of your friends or family is raped and murdered by one who seeks sanctuary south of the border to avoid prosecution blame the authorities. Sanctuary here, sanctuary there, where pray tell is our sanctuary? Mexico and KC, working together against America and with citizens like Semler they do not need to work very hard, she has been begging to surrender for at least a year.
Ah, yes, LA RAZA, The Race, rears its head and takes aim yet again.
And the target falls easily from atop its perch, unable to resist the onslaught of figurative evisceration by the far left and its ever-present handmaiden, the American Press Corps.
Barring some immense change in the ongoing unfolding course of events, in the not-too-distant future, friends, the only thing remaining for the unfortunate Infidel survivors of the jihad to see will be how long the Godless Marxists (which includes La Raza) can keep their heads mounted upon their shoulders when the Islamization is complete.
My guess is that the Marxists will not be long for the world, despite their having joined hands with the Muslims.
So much for tolerance form the liberals that support open borders. “The Race” had better be very careful in how far they push their agenda there is a big backlash building in this country and when it boils over I fear it will be less than civil in dealing with organizations that would usurp our national sovereignty as well as the victim class of illegal invaders they support.

I loathe these ethnic nationalist groups. Should KC be upset if say, the KKK or Aryan Nation canceled planned conventions in their towns? What’s the difference between potbellied rednecks who hate everyone else and Mexicans who hate everyone else?

She is gone, and while the powers that be, excluding the Mayor, have been siding with the true racists, La Raza, the general public of KC fully support the mayor and Semler. Everytime something regarding Semler or La Raza appeared in the KC Star, the comments were overwhelmingly pro-Semler/Mayor and anti-La Raza/open borders crowd.
I fully expect that this will backfire badly on the amnesty crowd.
ENOUGH already with all the whining from so called conservatives and those who claim to take this situation seriously. It’s been a year of whining and crying, with absolutely no real action.
Many of us spent all of last year organizing protests, struggling to convince people to show up on a Saturday morning to protest amnesty and the illegal invasion. It was an impossible task and one of the most frustrating tasks I’ve ever been involved with. With 80% of the population being outraged at our government’s attempt at shamnesty, we were lucky if we had 50 people show up at any given protest.
On this very blog, we were angrily told by these same people who claim this issue is the most important issue of our times, that it wasn’t worth missing a family picnic to defend our country. With soccer games, picnics, and early morning cartoons, it was just too much to ask of the American people to spend two hours defending their country.
Most used the excuse that “conservatives have jobs” to explain why we were routinely outnumbered 1000-1 by illegal alien supporters. But that excuse doesn’t hold water, since we tested that theory by scheduling protests on National Holidays.
When I mentioned that a group was attempting to organize an Independence Day national protest, I was scolded by more than one reader that this was time she spent with her family and she wasn’t going to give that up to protest on the street for two hours. Never mind that protests are in the morning, and Independence Day celebrations are at night.
When we suggested a national protest on Thanksgiving to get the government’s attention, I was brutally attacked by readers for daring to suggest they miss a year of turkey and yams. How dare us all to suggest such a sacrifice!
Phone calls. That’s what we got. That’s all conservatives could muster in defense of their country. How brave we’ve become. True heroes. When our country is in danger and in the process of being invaded, conservatives responded by making phone calls.
Now, these same conservatives have spent the last year mocking candidates such as Tom Tancredo and Fred Thompson, while attempting to convince others to vote for open-boarder amnesty supporting candidates such as Giuliani, Huckabee, and McCain.
Shame on you all. Lazy cowards.
Stop whining already. It’s your own damn fault. If you truly want to do something, make an attempt to actually DO something about it. Join the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps. Join other groups such as American Citizens First and Save Our State. And above all, prove that it actually matters to you by joining us on the streets and on the border. Stop hiding behind your phone and DO SOMETHING other than pushing those little buttons on your phone.
For those of you who do want to make a difference, HERE’S YOUR CHANCE. Bookmark the event calendar and join the citizens who truly care on the front lines.
I suspect that 99.9% of you will simply ignore this request, and I’ll probably even hear the same old weak excuses that I just outlined. Which group will you be in?

Trust me. Last year’s amnesty battle was nothing compared to what’s coming. If Hillary, Obama, or McCain should win the Presidency … it’s going to take a lot more than phone calls to secure the border.

A phone call is simply not going to cut it.
I know how you feel John, I share those views and take it one more, I’m Hispanic. I’m second generation American, my paternal grandfather legally immigrated. People like La Raza hurt Hispanics far more than they help.
Lazy cowards? Who the hell do you think you are? Also, it’s rather harsh, don’t you think, considering you really have no idea what many of us do in our spare time. Not everyone, myself included, feels the need to tell everyone what we are or are not doing in our local communities. Many of us are very active, myself included.
Furthermore, not everyone is able for whatever reason, to physically get out and protest. There are many ways to make a difference and lots of people do give a valuable contribution to what we believe. We just don’t do it the same way.
There are alot of handicapped and elderly people in our community who are very involved in Republican politics and issues such as this, and phoning is all they can do. I am sure they will be extremely thrilled to have their hard work dismissed as you have.
We can all make a difference and we can all do it different ways. When it gets to the point where there is bashing and insulting such as you have done to other people working towards the same goal, I seriously doubt we will win with that kind of attitude. We have to work together and do what each of us can.

Stop insulting them. For your information, 90% of those who actually show up at our protests are SENIORS. Many are in wheelchairs. Many are Vets. They are the most brave and most patriotic citizens alive today. Unfortunately, younger Americans either don’t give a damn, or are too blind to realize what’s going on.

Just for the record, at least officially, when they started whining about Ms Semler’s membership with the Minutemen, she DID offer a resignation. Mayor Funkhouser refused to accept it, and refused to bow to La Raza’s threats of pulling a convention, and stood up to the media outlets demanding he fire her, and/or he resign as well.

I still don’t get it…WHY do we allow any group that states it’s vile racism so outwardly in its very name to exist in America?
Leftists like to gather for protests more than conservatives do it’s the mob mentality in them. I prefer rallies such as an Independence Day rally/picnic/pro America themed carnival or confronting these reps face to face. I want them to see as well as hear how I feel about the issue and I don’t really care if I make them uncomfortable in the process. In our republic we are provided with an avenue of protest, our local, state and federal reps. The big tunas are not listening to us, the little fish are getting too big for their tanks they have lost track of who they represent. Therefore we must take our country back from the ground up and that means school boards city management, locals who are intimately linked with their constituents.
If you put pressure on your locals they might begin acting. When they do act it will put pressure on surrounding communities to act as well. Until we get this under control we might have to endure citizenship checkpoints similar to dui checkpoints. If you live near a sanctuary city it makes little sense to crack down in your city alone others will only flood in from the sanctuary and the cycle begins again, ad infinitum. I get calls from newspapers asking if I would like to subscribe relatively often, I enjoy it. I don’t hesitate to ask them, what do you think I am some kind of idiot? Do you think I am going to pay a quarter and waste my time reading anti American tripe? Start printing the truth and maybe, and that’s a big maybe, I will think about it.
Some use the phone or carry signs, still others prefer written correspondence or personal contact. All avenues are important and lead to the same destination.

#22, Don’t jump to conclusions just cause he’s hispanic. Mr. Fierro was interviewed by a talk show here in KC, the hosts are a conservative guy and a conservative-leaning indy (yeah he voted for our disaster of a Democrat governor and AG Sebilus and Morrison but he supports the war in Iraq.) In anycase, when he was interviewed, he was asked about Semler, he said she was a hard worker, never pushed her political views and he was happy to work with her.
#27 and #28, the Mayor has supported Semler since day one of this, even telling the two conventions that pulled out of the city that he was sorry they were leaving but he wouldn’t ask her to step down. As #31 said, she has offered her resignation a couple of times and he turned it down. Today, he said he was “disappointed” in her resignation and she did not discuss it with him before hand. Semler resigned because she was sick of having her house stalked by roving gangs of amnesty pushing La Raza types.
Not to mention, again as #31, stated the print media here in KC has been downright vicious with both her and the Mayor. Every problem’s resolution somehow involves firing the racist Semler, water main breaks, blah blah blah oh and fire Semler. I give her credit for sticking it out this long and not cracking and going for some throats. I know I couldn’t have.

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. If you cant stand your ground with La Raza I think standing up to the islamofascists is out of the question. The kindergarten teacher (nothing personal, just an example) may be really nice they might be a real leader when it comes to 5 year olds but this is a tough grown up world with lots of really vicious people in it. Anyone taking a job that they are unqualified for or incapable of performing their duties in is a waste of taxpayers hard earned money. This is what we end up with through the PCMC mentality. We end up with aluminum where we should have installed steel. For years we have not paid enough attention to who our local leaders are it a lot like a building code violation. The design flaw may not show up immediately but eventually it will with catastrophic results.
Well, now we know there the illegals in Oklahoma can go where they will feel welcome.

Meh, it’s Kansas City. Kansas City and St. Louis City/County are like pimples on the butt cheeks of Missouri. Most of their population’s attitudes would fit in well with the pre-Katrina (now Houston) residents of New Orleans. They consistently vote and pass legislation 180° off the rest of the state. Without the rest of the state to balance those two cities and their suburbs, Missouri would be somewhat left of The Peoples Republik of Illinois and Taxachusetts.
Too bad La Raza can’t create jobs instead of trying to third world the rest of North America. When they fill up and conquer the USA what will be their next target? Canada would be the next target and soon it will be impoverished as well. Hispanics should be thankful that the Southwest controlled by Washington D.C. and not by Mexico City. Can you imagine the poverty if Mexico City was in control of the Southwest. Mexico must create jobs for its own folks and be quick about it.

Everytime the KC School District has a White Administrator they run him out of town on a rail, the state has came in and taken their peice of crap school system over and are about to do it again, the Kansas City Housing Authority was taken over by the Fed’s because of fraudgulent activity and is being mismanaged once again, they appeased the Muslim’s by putting foot bath’s in the airport, the dishonorable Mayor Clever now a Congressman took $10,000 out of the city treasury so that he and his family could go to Disney World and until an audit was done and it was found that he took it, he said that he had every intention of paying it back, what happened you ask? nothing! If you work in the city you pay a 1% earning’s tax even if you do not live in the city itself, many and I mean many of the city council have either been investigated or charged in fraud cases, Acorn, we’ve all heard of them, mounted one of their fraudeulant voter registration schemes here, KCMO annexed every peice of land thay could get their hand’s on and believe it or not you can fit NYC, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas and San Francisco in the city limit’s of KC, the city practices ruthless eminate domain practice’s, Instead of putting money into the only twin sport’s stadium’s in the country (they sit side by side) they chose to build another downtown with no occupant in mind or looking, already having one downtown from another one of their hair brained schemes, One of the most violent neighborhood’s sit’s downtown and nobody in their right mind goes downtown at night. Under the control of PC Democrat’s this city has went to he!! in a handbasket and continues to go down and now to boot they harrase Frances Selmer so much she resign’s I sent this article to MM earlier today and have been keeping up on this story, If the sh!t would’nt land on my shoulder’s I would say they need to bomb the city to the ground and start over. Walt Disney lived and started his career from KC Mickey Mouse was created here and apparently the city has’nt recovered yet.
