I will not shut up. I am sick and tired of the media claiming McCan’t as the front runner.
Excuse me? McCan’t is NOT the frontrunner. In my opinion, whoever has the most delegates is the frontrunner.
MacAss is worse then Sen Clinton. I’d rather have 4 or less of her (she will probably be impeached after some great disaster) then MacAss for 8.
Exactly. And if he hates the First Amendment, perhaps the Second would be a problem for him as well.
McCain is our worst nightmare.
I would prefer that this next 4/8 years be a diaster under a real dem than one hiding behind the GOP name.
Rush just said, “she was the only one sitting there that could not cross her legs”.
Guess who he was talking about!
Rush is right, as always. RUSH in 08!!!!
McCain telling American’s who disapprove of his senatorial actions to “shut up” sounds like he’s running for king more than the president. If nothing else he has a total disregard for the opinions of anyone who may disagree with him.
King McCrap
Sorry, my friend. I’m not going to let good be the enemy of perfect. There’s no doubt in my mind that the worst federal judge appointed by McCain would be better than the best judge appointed by HRC.
How does three more Ruth Buzzi Ginsburgs on the Supreme Court strike ya’?
Mcslain is a joke. I bet he will only carry 5 votes out of the gang of 14. And the Democrats clearly think it’s going to him as said in last night’s debate. If the RNC wants to cut off it’s own head, then let them give us McCant.
I’m still pulling for Rudy. Come on, Florida!
But if McCain gets the nomination I will vote for him. He may be a RINO on domestic issues but at least he is strong on national defense. (Um… not counting getting control of our own borders, I mean.) That’s not much but it’s still better than any of the democrats.
Take home message to the conservatives out there: do not be fooled by the wolf in sheep’s clothing.
McCain isn’t a friend of conservatives. We don’t need an onslaught from the LSM to provde otherwise. Mind your battle stations
vote.McCain is not a conservative and IMO, he is a premier RINO. Any damage to the Republican Party is being done by McCain and his sniveling relationship with the likes of Ted Kennedy.
Furthermore, while the so-called tolerant liberal left is anti-free speech, conservatives aren’t. No one is going to tell me to shut up. Anyone telling Republicans to shut up are RINOs, just like McCain. They might as well scoot over to the Dumocratic Party.
Good ole Rush. I’m so glad to have him around.
prove
Tiger, that is operating under the idea that McCain will appoint someone remotely more conservative than HRC. I’m not really sure whether he would or wouldn’t.
Katieanne,
He tells it like it is, like no other.
I certainly don’t intend to shut up, and I hope you don’t either. I’ve been wondering since the primaries started who the heck are these people voting for McCain? A few months ago we stormed the castle because of him, and now the votes are stacking up in his favor? Either something is rotten in Denmark or the Republicans in those states were on hiatus last summer.
Hillary annointed him (McCain) last night as the frontrunner; that is reason enough to not vote for him.
I’m not too fired-up about any of the candidates. Right now, to me, McCain seems the best of the lot.
AMEN!!!
PREACH IT BROTHER!!!
i am watching all of the so called conservative media talking heads. i will from now on view them as i do the liberal media. as far as i am concerned no rush keep talkin’ and michelle keep writin’. i will not shut-up, i will not go quietly into the night, either. i will stand up and shout and make my vote count.
mcpain is a democrat operative within the republican party. i have glanced over his votes from the 90’s to now and he has voted against his republican counterparts and voted with the democrats on almost every conservative issue that is domestic and some foreign affairs depends on if they fit his military know all mantle.
a saboteur conducting sabotage through subterfuge. or as the lamestream media labels him a ‘maverick’. well one man’s maverick is another man’s saboteur.
The only way I would vote for McCain is if he had Thompson as his Veep, and promised to die as soon as he took the oath of office.
Laura Ingraham ripped McCain on his pro-life sham this morning. He signed on with liberals in using McCain/Fineasgold to shut-up Wisconsin’s Right to Life. Fortunately the SCOTUS rebuffed him and M/F for trying to use it in the case. So much for his stand on the pro-life movement.
McAmnesty has and will continue to betray conservative principles. If he is the nominee I will write in Fred Thompson for President because it won’t matter whether the Democrats or Republicans win the White House. There’s no difference anymore.
That he does, 30 pieces of Silver. I don’t get to actually hear him on the radio alot, but I visit his site and read what I can. He’s great.
McCain is a liberal. I have said it all along. The Rep party will not give the nod to a conservative – NO WAY!
If not McCain, Rudy will get the nod. It is election politics not who can get the job done or who is the best conservative.
I have no problem shutting up if the Dimocraps will show me how.
McCain will be worse than HRC since we will only have 4 years of her, while with McCain, we will have 4-8 and then 4-8 of a dem/commie. Let’s allow the Jimmy CArter pantsuit make a mess for 4 years so we can get a real conservative in.
McCain WILL NOT give us conservative judges. Look at the evidence: He has blocked almost every conservative judge Bush has tried to appoint, listening to Kennedy.
McCain is HORRID ON THE WAR ON TERROR. Why are so many people thinking that the war on terror is only Iraq. In fact, the war on terror is mostly out of Iraq (sorry to say that, but it is true). McCain is wrong on that, since he has pushed for rights for terrorists, closing Gitmo and bringing the skum here wich, if he knew the laws, will immediatelly give them rights, and he is against waterboarding, which has given us huge results.
HE is HORRID on FREE SPEECH
He sucks on ABORTION. He stood ersonally against Wisconsin anti-abortion group with all the pro-murder libs.
McCain has almost ALWAYS sided with libs. What do you think he will do if he is resident. I will sit at home if he is the nominee. I am not such a sell out as to EVER vote for this distatestful and vindictive little man. Enough of this guy. I am nto a wimp. I will not succumb to pressure form the Fox beltwa pundits who are so out of touch with America. I no longer watch Fox, except in rre occasions.
Didn’t Paul receive more votes in Nevada than McCain? How does Fox news declares candidates with 35 percent of the vote in a state “Winners”. The media has an agenda.
I have also noticed FOX NEWS leading the McCain bandwagon.I have said many times we will not vote for McCain and several others we know won’t either.I may be way off base here but it seems to me one of the reasons the media likes McCain as the nominee is that the illegal immigration debate will be a non factor in the general election. The media will say see the majority of Republicans want COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM just like the Democratic candidates because they nominated McCain. The COMPREHENSIVE BILL was so full of exceptions and loop holes as pointed out by the Hertiage Foundation it would have ruined our country in the coming decades. We do not need more poverty in this country which is what that bill would have imported a greater numbers than the present to our country.I guess the border security folks will have to sit out the election if McCain is nominated.I hold out hope the folks in Flordia will pick Romney. He’s the best choice left in my opinon on economics and border security.
I just voted for Mitt Romney in Florida and won’t shut up about McCain.
I am still hoping for Romney/Thompson in November as they will shred the Democratic nominees in debates and issues.
People who vote for McCain are either uninformed about his amnesty policies or ar liberals who don’t care.
McDonald the Clown cannot do it.
PTN 39, you are so correct. Take the illegal alien issue off the table and the Dems win. Selecting MCCain takes that issue off, since then the Dems have the same positions as McCain. If we grant amnesty, the GOP is done forever. People who are taught from birth to be victims (like most 3d world illegals) and who believe the so caled rich are evil will alwasy vote Lib. Why, because the libs give the handouts. The illegals are already getting freebies from the American tax payer. Why not get more once they can vote. Why bother to improve yourself when you can live off of the government. If that happens, I am looking for a new country to live in since I have no wish to have gone to university, then lawschool, then sill pay for student loans and have to support every riff raff who wants a handout. Until I became a stay-at-home mom, half of my salary was going to the state and fed government. Forget that.
I have long said that John McCain is the most dangerous politician in all of Washington.
Still is. Will continue to be as long as he is active in politics.
The fact that McCant only wins when D’s and I’s vote tells me that he’s a liberal. Oh, and voting against tax cuts, blocking conservitive judges, pro law breaking, against freedoms to speak, friends with Senator Life Guard, anti gitmo, anti interrogation to save lives/cities, friends with Sen. Gramnesty, etc. McCant makes Senator Obamination look more conservative than Ronald Reagan.
Through his deeds McCain has proved he is no conservative. I refuse to sit down and shut-up allowing the MSM to ram this unacceptable candidate down our throats.
You people are more delusional than the 9/11 twoofers. They won’t shut up either and they won’t let the MSM tell them what they ‘know’ is true.
I don’t like McCain either. But this is what you get when you don’t put up a viable conservative for the R nom. Rudy was worse than McCain but everyone crowned him and still think he’ll win. Here’s the latest piece on how he
ledruled New York like a mafia bully ‘Crossing Guiliani had a price‘. ruDy doesn’t deserve any power because he’ll wield it over everyone who disagrees with him. I’m surprised that neither MM nor Hotair has linked to it as an example of a truthful ‘NYT Hitpiece’ on a guy they obviously don’t know enough to report on.The problem we have here is now we have a bunch of people paying attention who have never paid attention to the nomination process before. That’s why you don’t think McCain is ‘really’ the front runner.
He is, and just like I tell the twoofers, the ‘truth’ hurts. I don’t say he’s the frontrunner because I am a supporter. . . I say he’s the frontrunner because I’m familiar with how this process works – and so is McCain.
So ya’ll can speak out all you want, but it won’t make a difference. It’s Hillary vs. McCain. Pick one or don’t vote.
It is interesting though that the conservative heretics (Huckabee and McCain) pulled in 64% of the vote in conservative South Carolina. Maybe there are just a large number of Republican voters out there who arent posting on internet blogs.
While noone should ever “shut-up”, the hatred of McCain does strike me as a bit irrational. If you want to oppose him, that is fine and you should– it’s primary season. But to think that sitting at home is better than voting for McCain over HRC is just absurd.
I, for one, am sick and tired of pundits, and campaign lackies, telling me what to think! I am sick and tired of these same people telling me that I misinterpreted what was said by a candidate! I’m also sick and tired of candidates who not only lie about their history of positions, but those of another candidate. To them, let me just suggest that it is they that need to STFU!!!
I’m sitting this election out. There is no conservative candidate and I’m solid gold conservative.
The leading candidates are not conservatives. Each one is BIG government, government will fix your ills, I’ve got the silver bullet answer to your ills through this new government program.
To hell with that@!
Exit question: Is there a possibility of a 3rd party true conservative?
You really should have put this at the end of your tirade. I would have read the rest of what you wrote had I not read this.
Billy Kristol and Davey Brook have been up McCain’s anal cavity for years. Barnes is not far behind.
Their prognostications are about as accurate as the weather man (err person).
I don’t think it’s hate, but absolute distrust of this man. Just because he was a POW does not give him a free pass. To the contrary. We may never know what effects his imprisonment has had on his judgement, or logic. (His position on the use of water-boarding, which I strongly disagree with, bothers me greatly.) That’s reason enough for me to be VERY cautious about voting for him.
Thompson is the only true conservative of the bunch.
I love to listen to Rush. He says it like I feel about my country and the way I feel about who I want as my President. I am not a ‘mind numb robot’ following Rush. There are three things I detest-1. a liar, 2. a hypocrite 3. a thief. McCain and Huck have two of the three for me. I just can’t vote for either of them.
L
Remember the source: new york times??? the fairy tale paper?
I do not know who will be the Republican candidate and neither do the rest of you. We can do our research, listen to the candidates, pay attention to the debates and vote for who we think is best in the primaries. At some point, someone will come out on top. But TexasTiger (#7) said it right. Whoever that someone is will be better than anyone that the democrats put up period. A republican president will at least give a cursory listen to republican constituents. He may not do what some of us desire but he will probably listen. You can damn well bet that a democrat in the white house will not even acknowledge that we exist let alone lend us an ear. They are using the race and gender excuse against each other and I don’t think I could stand listening to that pitiful tripe for 4 more pathetic years as they use it against us. “They won’t let me succeed because I’m a woman; they fight everything I try to do because I’m black.” Come November I have no intention of taking my ball and running home because my buddy didn’t make the team. I will vote for the lesser of the evils because the country deserves that much. It might not smell like roses but it will be better than standing in crap for 4 years.

Wow, that is harsh stuff about Rudy. Except for one thing. Not a single mention actually shows that Rudy was the mastermind behind poor redlight sting dude. He puts his name in the paper and is supprised that the police who have a warrent for his arrest come to get him? Get a life, that is the price you pay for not living up to your duties to society, like showing up for court.
As for pictures taken down, OMG, please someone have that mayor shot for such an afront, and while you are at it, why do you not go islamist on him too.
As for me, I could care less if he is mafia like because in the end, it is a firm and strong parent that raises good children into responsible adults. NYC was an inssuferable child in need of a firm parent to guide it back into greatness. It certainly did not need nanny state politicians that would have ushered it further along the Daily Britany Spears trail. Because he is firm, some people are going to hate him.
As for McCain.
The anti first ammendment candidate.
Subscriber to the Al Gore global warming alarmist magazine and platinum member of carbon taxes on everyone coalition.
The anti-competitive markets guru, who thinks that tax cuts are bad in an ailing economy, but since I am running for president, I support them now, even though they run up the budget deficit which I oppose with every fiber of my being.
The former prisoner of war who thinks that waterboarding is a criminal act even if it saves American lives and protects the homeland.
I would vote none of the above before i vote for McCain, the anti-Republican.

You say you don’t like McCain. Your diatribe sounds like something McCain would say.
What’s with Rush lumping Rudy in with Thompson and Romney in the conservative camp?
HA says Fred getting out. Sorry to hear this. Guess Mitt.
L
It’s Mitt or nobody then. He’s as far left as I’m willing to move.
I no longer vote Republican or Democrat. I vote Conservative. And, McCain is not conservative.
I don’t get this. How is McCain the front runner? He’s underperforming his 2000 run, the base doesn’t want him, he’s not ahead in delegates, and even in NH and SC he lost among actual, you know, Republican voters. The whole thing strikes me as a scam: the McCainites are trying to mau mau him into front runner status by merely stating it as a fact. Of course they’re upset we’re talking; people might start realizing the emperor is naked.
If the neocon liberal Republican movement is damaged by Conservative principles, so be it!
Its the abandonment of Conservatism thats lead to the abandonment by Americans of the Republican party.
“Americans will always vote for a center right candidate.”
Unfortunately, those words were spoken by Newt Gingrich now a born again liberal Republican, or is he?
The natural progress is to be countered by Conservatism, not embraced by it.
It doesn’t help when the vast majority of Republican elected officials don’t subscribe to Republican core beliefs.
I don’t have any allegiance to a party, especially one that subverts its own precepts.
This reminds me of the Dems in 2004 – Not a winner in the bunch. This is how they ended up with Kerry.
For what it’s worth, he’s pretty much the only electable candidate in the GOP stable right now. Do you have any idea how many Dems would cross over to vote for him if Hillary gets the nomination? He has a very broad appeal. But I guess this is why you don’t like him…???
McCain is the best blue dog democrat candidate out there right now. No wonder the Fox is in the McHenhouse.
I wonder how many times Romney has screwed around on his wife? How bout McPain? On his first wife?
Sorry, if you cannot even live up to the vows of marriage, how can you even thing of honoring the oath of office?
I can’t wait to vote against him in Texas soon.
It is more important to Conservative Republicans to stop McCain than to stop Hillary.
Lifelong Republican in California.
I cannot accept McCain as the Republican candidate. After McCain-Feingold, I have a lot of reservations. However, one thing worries me. If McCain is the candidate, it will rip the Republicans in two. Much like Perot and Bush, votes will go to McCain, and votes will go elsewhere, or nowhere at all (not voting). The democrats will be united and win the White House. If I was a democrat, I would like to see McCain win, knowing full well that it will cause a split.
#54. McCain, electable? Not on your life. He may have broad appeal with Dems / Left Inds, but that is the point. He doesn’t have the support of conservatives. He bills himself as conservative, and that is what angers folks about him and gives him his high negatives.
#56… Were those rhetorical questions or just pulled out of some bodily orifice. If you know how many times they were unfaithful or even if they were unfaithful please enlighten everyone. You must have some personal knowledge since you brought it up.
Would you vote for another round of George Bush??? I sure as hell wouldn’t….and for that same reason I will NEVER,EVER vote for the same old John McCain. Both are not Conservative and both betrayed their party….Those who think McCain is good on defense…makes me laugh…yeah right …maybe defense of Iraq and the hell with the USA…which he is all for leaving wide open…He is a disgrace and treasonous piece of trash . Just heard about a roll call of celebrities endorsing McCain–if that don’t tell you that he ain’t much different than a democrat then you are in a coma…..Just SAY NO TO MCCain!!!

But that’s the question, isn’t it? Which one is truly the lesser evil: the Constitution-shredding “Maverick” or the one that is, mmmm, Clintonian?
I’m one of those 1988 listener’s, Ive listend to Rush for WOW! I just realized it will be 20 year’s this year WOW again. I must say if you listened to this or read it, the people that critisize MM or Rush for not endorsing or tearing down their candidate should be the one’s to shut up, they call it as they see it, if you disagree then you disagree it’s as simple as that.
sorry for being rude bequiet
Oh and McCain suck’s
Darn tootin’. Conservative first, Republican…reluctantly.
When McCain said “I’ve Learned My Lesson on Illegals”, I assumed he was admitting he was wrong about amnesty. I have since learned he has not changed his views at all. Like a bank robber who tells the judge he has “learned his lesson”, he hopes his words will be understood as “I’ll never do it again”, when in reality he is thinking “I’ve learned my lesson: next time I’ll do it smarter so I don’t get caught.”
It’s important that we don’t fall for his new tricks and that we don’t allow him to silence his critics so he can do his dirty deeds when no one is watching. Here is a quote from John McCain that shows he plans to do it again:
