America’s fishwrap endorses…

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 24, 2008 10:55 PM

Shocker! America’s fishwrap endorses…The Mother of all Big Nanny Meddlers and The Maaaaverick.

“John McCain: Endorsed by the classified secrets-disclosing, troop-smearing, war-sabotaging, botched military reporting, abortion propaganda-perpetuating, unethical reporter-protecting, stock-plunging New York Times.”

The negative ad writes itself.

    OK, this is pukeworthy…

From the NYT “endorsement” for Hillary:

    The early primaries produced two powerful main contenders: Hillary Clinton, the brilliant if at times harsh-sounding senator from New York;

Brilliant? At WHAT? Oh yeah, she’s the smartest woman in America.

    Please, don’t insult me.

When will we get the truth that John McCain is not a conservative. Nor is he even moderate. This man is a socialist. He makes RINO’s look moderate.

The Treason Media wants McCain because he will not rally any conservatives to his flag and that will help their Chosen One sneak into office easier than if she had to fight unified Republicans.

Poor ol’ John has had so much smoke blown up his bunghole by his “constituents” in the Treason Media that he probably believes that they’re actually rooting for him and prepared to carry his water in the general campaign. Rude awakening dead ahead!

To paraphrase, then quote, the New York Times’ endorsement of John McCain to be (only) the GOP’s nominee: “How do I love thee? Let me count the ways:”

In 2006, however, Mr. McCain stood up for the humane treatment of prisoners and for a ban on torture. We said then that he was being conned by Mr. Bush, who had no intention of following the rules. But Mr. McCain took a stand, just as he did in recognizing the threat of global warming early. He has been a staunch advocate of campaign finance reform, working with Senator Russ Feingold, among the most liberal of Democrats, on groundbreaking legislation, just as he worked with Senator Edward Kennedy on immigration reform.

In other words, the Times begs a plurality of voters to make John McCain the GOP nominee. The Times relishes in the knowledge that millions and millions of Republicans will never hold their noses and vote for him. Yet if they can prod enough fools into voting for McCain now, come November, Hillary Clinton will win in a walk.

Um ok, this post was kind of misleading unless you read the linked articles.. I initially read this as NYT had come out as endorsing McCain as their choice for president, which is not exactly the case. McCain is their choice out of the Republican nominees. Clinton is their choice from the Democratic nominees, and is of course who they are behind as far as support goes and their choice for president.

Guess I’ll have to take things here with a grain of salt in future..

McCain is not the man for the office of President of the United States. He has very recently tried to sell conservatives down the [Rio Grande]river with Kennedy. Also with Feingold.
I do not want to vote for McCain as the ‘lesser of two evils’ simply because he is nothing but a democrat in deguise. Period.

We have strong disagreements with all the Republicans running for president. The leading candidates have no plan for getting American troops out of Iraq. They are too wedded to discredited economic theories and unwilling even now to break with the legacy of President Bush. We disagree with them strongly on what makes a good Supreme Court justice.

Still, there is a choice to be made, and it is an easy one. Senator John McCain of Arizona is the only Republican who promises to end the George Bush style of governing from and on behalf of a small, angry fringe. With a record of working across the aisle to develop sound bipartisan legislation, he would offer a choice to a broader range of Americans than the rest of the Republican field.

Seeing their fawning endorsement of McCain set off every whooper and buzzer in my mind to confirm to anyone with half a brain he is the wrong man to be POTUS. He is a RINO that will continue his crusade to destroy every individual freedom guaranteed in the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. Of course he is acceptable to the NYT because he is in league with the liberals. Circulation of this fish wrap should continue to plummet to new lows along with the stock value. This is ridiculous, between this, the news of Mr. Hernandez (one of his aides/supporters), his constant harking of environmental issues on the stump (btw Michelle, I haven’t seen any recent stories on his environmental wackiness – anything in the works? I am very curious!), etc., etc. McCain has completely lost his mind.

I know that this is very un-pc (and let me say first off that I respect McCain’s service – this next statement is intended as sarcasm) – but I am beginning to seriously wonder if McCain was somehow “turned” during his captivity and has been working as a double agent for the Soviet Union and/or Vietnam. His actions do raise questions!
