To expound on the point I was making with the “Nixon Seats Bullets…” comment in #17, I was not implying that she was visibly sweating or unnerved by the “gotcha” moment – in fact, it was much to the contrary, she was very calm and collected and behaved as though she were expecting it.
My point was that the moment, which brought voters the live image of Hillary being confronted by the facts, galvanized voters’ perceptions of her as untrustworthy and distant in a manner reminiscent of Nixon’s debate with Kennedy, which cost Nixon the election because he came off as untrustworthy.

I’m no fan of Hillary Clinton – however do keep in mind the woman has a skin as thick as a crocodile’s and probably just as much shame.

And “taking initiative” doesn’t equal “inventing”.

I stand by my prediction Al Gore will be the Democratic candidate for President in 2008.
While Gore has been reported to say “he wasn’t a candidate” neither did he make a “Sherman Statement”.

I see Edwards as going the distance, getting just enough delegates to keep either Clinton or Obama from “going over the top” with the result being a repeat of 1968 where a deadlock occurs and Al Gore is brought out as a “consensus” candidate.

My reasoning is Obama and Clinton have been slinging way too much mud at each other – which Democratic-leaning voters find a major turn-off and create grave concerns about either’s electability.

Keep in mind the GOP this year has the advantage of knowing who they’re up against.

I speak with first hand experience. It costs you $2,500 bucks to have your picture taken with that witch. Naturally, I declined the invitation; the host of that fundraiser had me confused with some other, less rational, free-thinking person. So, regardless of her so-called loss of memory, Rezko did made a donation to whatever fundraiser du jour the Clintons were cooking up at the time.

Well, to be somewhat fair, the photo looks like it’s a grip-and grin from a party. Presidents are always having their pictures taken with people they don’t really know. Just because this guy paid some money to go to some DNC fundraiser, or whatever it was, doesn’t mean they know him.

Still pretty embarrassing, though.

Let’s talk about some names from the glorious Clinton past. Matt Lauer won’t do it but it’s worth a mention. Let’s start with Carlos A. Vignall. He was convicted in federal court of cocaine trafficking and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. By coincidence, on January 20, 2001, Bill Clinton suddenly decided to commute Vignall’s sentence. How did Bill Clinton suddenly pluck some obscure two bit cocaine dealer out of the air and commute his sentence? Had Vignall, in prison, discovered a cure for AIDs or cancer? Nope, he didn’t do either. But one Hugh Rodham Clinton had been paid $200,000.00 to lobby for Vignall’s release. And Hillary said she knew nothing about it. Obama should bring it up. Matt Lauer will never do it. Neither will Hilaary sistahs Diane Sawyer and Katie Couric. And then that brings us to another name from the glorious Clinton past: one Almon Glass Braswell. Braswell was convicted of mail fraud and perjury and was under a criminal investigation for various farreaching frauds when on Jan. 20, 2001, Bill Clinton suddenly decided that Braswell was worthy of a pardon. Had Braswell found a cure for heart disease or pancreatic cancer? Nope. He had not. But he had one thing in his favor. Old buddy Hugh Rodaham had been paid $200,000.00 to secure Braswell’s freedom,and apprently Braswell got his money’s worth.
