The McRudy alliance
Update: McSchwarzenegger is official.

The Giuliani-McCain endorsement celebration is underway at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley. Vid here.
Rudy: “I had made it clear that if I had not decided to run, the one person I would clearly support would be John McCain…He’s a man of honor and integrity…He’s shown character throughout his life…Several times when I would see him at debates, I would shake his hands several times and tell him that…came from way behind…displayed his tenacity…I can’t imagine a campaign that has better demonstrated who the nominee should be.” Pats himself on the back for not running negative ads against each other…
“Part of the consolation…we will remain friends. But most importantly, my country will have a candidate for president of the United States…prepared to be president at a time of great peril. We share a similar vision for the country…”
“We both believe in fiscal discipline…finally, we both believe in building a strong and broader Republican party. One that is growing and reaching out…”
“John McCain gives us, as Republicans, the best chance of doing that…I’ll campaign for him in California, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, anywhere he wants me…I am fully on board, 100 percent…Hope we can nominate him so we can unite the party…Proud to endorse my friend…God bless you, John.”
McCain: “Deeply honored by your friendship of many years…I saw Rudy Giuliani unite this nation in a way that made us feel proud, recommitted us to defeating the terrible evil that caused 9/11…This man is a national hero. I’m honored by his friendship…Thank him for his leadership of America…I believe my life has prepared me, a life of service and dedication, to lead this nation in the transcendent challenge of the 21st century…the threat of radical Islamic evil…deeply honored. Thank you very much.”

Next up, as I noted yesterday, Arnold:
Two Republican sources familiar with the conversations tell CNN California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is in discussions about endorsing John McCain’s presidential bid.
Two Georgia Republican senators, Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Issacson, also have committed to endorse McCain. That announcement will come in the next 48 hours, according to two GOP sources involved in the planning.
As for the California governor, one of the sources said, “you can safely describe the conversations as progressing and productive.”
The second source described the endorsement as “more than expected” and said the conversations were aimed at arranging a Thursday announcement. “Yes, that is the plan,” this source said.
6:46pm Eastern Arnold Schwarzenegger declines to endorse McCain today.
Probably tomorrow.
He’s getting ready to attend the GOP debate at the Reagan Library.
The agenda he’s pushing on CNN: Fighting global warming, passing universal health care, and renewing shamnesty.

I wonder if Gov. Miguel Mchuckabee will follow soon.
Ronald Reagan’s ghost is messing with the sound at the press conference because he can’t believe two RINOS are in his library.
I wonder if he’s still going to speak at the Lincoln Day luncheon in Springfield, Il. this weekend. He was going to pick up some endorsments there. LOL.
Yo, Rudy! What about all that jazz you spouted in the debates about our next president needing to have previous executive experience? Wasn’t that the allusion you were making about John McCain not having executive experience? Hmmm? Did something change suddenly, Mr. Mayor?
Translation: We’re moving to the center, conservative base be-damned.
Us Republicans have a week to get our act together, otherwise we’ll have allowed the Independents and Democrats to elect our nominee. The GOP might wanna rethink the nomination process and sequence of primaries.
center or left or whatever it is, besides conservative, I guess.
Well, is the convention all wrapped up? Sure is beginning to look like it is.
How can anyone believe that Rudy G. or John McCain is conservative? The two of them standing there in the temple of Republican Conservatism, trying to fool people into believing they are something other than RHINOs, is downright nauseating!! The spirit of Ronald Reagan is probably weeping at the current state of our once proud Republican party.
The Republican party has embraced or been co-opted by many on the left who saw the Reagan-Gingrich revolution as a way of gaining political power at the expense of conservatism. The result is that these folks have taken over the leadership and will run Republicanism into the ground if not confronted. McCain has only one hope and that is to take action to work with conservatives, and conservatives have only one hope and that is to co-opt McCain.
That’s not the only alliance. The fix is in. Huckabee is staying in the race only to suck votes from Romney. He’ll stay in as long as it takes to defeat Mitt. Then, he’ll bow out, endorse McCainesty and get the VP nod.
This is sickening. Huckabee is determining who the nominee will be and he’s not even in the race. These people have no soul. I will definitely vote Democrat this year. My conscience won’t let me vote for McCain/Huckabee.
Look’s like their going for a McPoser-Jiviani ticket. To bad they’ve dishonored Reagan’s memory at his own library.
The way to build a stronger and broader Republican party is to stand firm on the rock of conservative principles, not to be a leaf blowing aimlessly in the wind.
The past is prologue - what McCain has done in the past, namely take “maverick” liberal positions and stab his party in the back, is what he’ll do in the future. Only more so if he gets the heady adrenaline of victory coursing through his veins.
I am through with “compromises” that do nothing but make the socialist, big-nanny government, immoral, unpatriotic left stronger. The line in the sand is drawn for me. I will not vote for McCain if he gets the nomination.
It’s not over until it’s over. There’s a ways to go yet - McCain hasn’t won much yet except the false admiration and hope of liberals like the New York Times, because they believe he can be beat.
…or because they believe, as others have noted, there’s not really that much difference between McVain and the Hildebeest…
I’m getting sick with vertigo the more “straight talk” that gets shoved down my throat. What a cabal: McCain, Rudy, Arnie… Who else?! Who else has joined but has not come forward to grovel??
McPuke!
Giuliani-McCain, the face of the new democrap party.
If Huckabee wasn’t still in the race, Romney would run away with this thing and we wouldn’t have to be pulling our hair out like this.
Yep! Go ahead and give McCain his (D):
Senator John McCain (D)
This whole entire debacle is making me ill. And there is no doubt, this is a debacle.
Lets go Mitt!
A picture is worth a 1,000 words.
John McCain vs. Miss Teen SC
John McCain vs. John McCain
I’ve been throwing up a lot lately.
As I said on another thread, I will not relish voting for McCain, but I will not stay home; to do so may well equate to a vote for Hillary.
Time for Lou Dobbs to step in and take 20% of the what-would-have-been GOP vote.
The dems will win but the message would have been heard.

With either Hillary or McCain, our country is going to hell. So, if I have to vote for one of these two, I’ll vote for Hillary. At least we can blame our demise on the Democrats
IMHO-We are watching the Presidency being stolen by the CFR and DC elite.
One state has determined who our candidate will be by allowing independents to vote for McCain.
This is election fraud of massive proportions!!
What I am seeing is the Presidency being stolen by a MSM that is cheer leading Pancho McCain along with the elite manipulating our elections.
I am just waiting for Kennedy to come out and endorse McCain saying he made a mistake endorsing Obama.
Oh wait, their surrogate in California, Arnold will do that honor for the Kennedy Mafia Family.
Once again we will be forced to vote for candidates that have given their allegiance to the Rockefellar CFR before the American people.
More RINO love. (No, I won’t post another link to pix of mating rhinos…)
I came home to see this on Fox News this evening. First thing I did was turn it off seeing the smug look on the RINOs face standing behind Rudy in the Reagan Library was more than I could stand. This is the wrong man for America he has taken great pleasure in stabbing conservatives in the back while poking President Bush in the eye every chance he gets. I will not compromise myself or my conservative principles to vote for this man.
No Open Borders candidate should be allowed to invoke 911 in their campaign BS!
RMSP stick together
This is what we call a herd of RINOs! They make sounds like conservatives but their demeanor and the tracks they leave are decidedly liberal. Plus, they wreak havoc where ever they roam.
I am now a “Mitten”.
Does anyone really care who Rudy endorses? Does he really carry any weight considering his low % of support? Is anyone really listening? Is anyone really going to remember all these “endorsements” a week from now?
Do you buy shoes or clothes because a celebrity wears or endorses them (unless you’re 12 years old and can’t vote anyway)?
Me neither.
Let’s move on…
Let’s all face it. The MSM does not like rich, self-made, successful people like Mitt Romney.
With Rudy in his corner, looks like McCain has the tranny vote sealed up….
So Rudy believes McCain is a man of honor and integrity — funny, McCain hasn’t shown those qualities lately, not since Vietnam, in fact.
Seriously… didn’t Schwarzenegger apologize for being a Republican? Of course he supports Juan McCain.
I thought McCain looked like a grumpy old man tonight. He seems mean-spirited to me. Honestly.
The GOP has a left and a right. The left alliance has been solidified - McCain and Rudy. The right is still splintered - Mitt, Huckabee, and Ron Paul. Huckabee is trending downward and I really wish he’d just drop out and throw his support to Mitt. He won’t like it, but he might as well. Not all Ron Paul’s ideas are bad… it’s just that everytime he talks, it ends up being about the war and he is TERRIBLE there. The right-wing of the GOP MUST unite behind Mitt. FYI - I am a FredHead who had the crap scared out of her after McCain’s victory yesterday in FL.
Wait! McCain was attacking Romney over the increase in taxes/fees in Massachusetts. Yet he’ll accept the endorsement from a Governator who has presided over a $14.6 BILLION deficit!?
Time to start a new party. I don’t see why we can’t attack all politicians at all times now given the medium of YouTube, not to mention C-SPAN which makes it easier to catch their BS.
I still don’t get McLove, especially over Romney. Romney sounds like the most reasonable candidate. I don’t want to alienate or make a disparaging comment, but I blame the baby boomers. They are still beholden to the MSM. Heck, when I watch TV I don’t even watch commercials. I’m 90% sure my dad and my aunt both voted for McCain, for the following reasons: a) Romney is a flip-flopper, b) Romney comes off as “too slick”, c) Romney is running with his own money.
Politico had a story up on how McCain is getting public funds to run his campaign (Edwards was the only other candidate of note).
McPunk! All that being said, I’ll hold my nose and vote for McPunk, but I’m awaiting the start of the New Party.
One more comment: I think McCain would’ve sailed with the nomination had the RNC not been sent all those peso donations and non-donations a year ago. Because the RNC didn’t have enough $$$ they have used Huckabee to capture $$$ from conservative Christians rooting for one of them to hurt Romney and help McCain. American Idiots indeed… why the eff was Rudy in the race as well? If McHuckashmuck and McRudy get positions in the McPunk cabinet (provided it gets that far) my theory will have a bit more legs.
Rudy is hoping McCain will win the nomination so he can be the VP candidate. He figures it’s best to have something, rather than nothing.
McVain has truly amazing osmotic capabilities. No matter the requirement his osmotic presences enable him to be the greatest and not only that, he’s a war hero who’s SwiftBoat is yet to sail. Giuliani endorsement of McVain makes it almost impossible for Romney to win if Giuliani supporters accept his sell out for a nice big time appointment. However, if Giuliani supporters did not self choose McVain then what better way to refuse their new role as Rudy fiat. A Romney vote for you would be a big time pay back and would that not be a welcome back to reality for that smug little faux hero, McVain.
Just a quick thought to those of you thinking of voting democrat if McCain is the nominee.
At least McCain probably won’t surrender to the islamofascists.
That’s about all I can say about him.
I understand the idea that if the country is going down, Let hillary or obama do it and take the blame. It’s going to happen anyway so why not do a write in vote instead? I plan to for the principle. I know my vote won’t matter, but at least I’ll feel better about myself.
I’m writing in Fred Thompson. It would be interesting to see what his vote tally in the general would be if everyone who was thinking of staying home wrote his name in instead.
Yeah, he won’t win, but it might demonstrate to the party that plenty of people are furious at them.
Just a thought.
Lets see:
McCain:
Opens doors to illegal criminals.
Rudy:
Fights legal battles for illegal criminals.
Ofcourse Rudy “sanctuary city” Giuliani had to support Juan “wonderful people” McCain.
The greater goal is preventing Hillary and Clinton from becoming copresidents again. McCain as president will be annoying from time to time. There is nothing to worry about from McCain as far as immigration and taxes go. The immigration bill is dead. Nobody will risk political capital to resurrect it. Tax increases won’t happen if McCain is president. There is no way that would get through Congress. So, we all have to consider the stark choice. A flawed McCain, who is nonetheless a great hero versus the Clintons, who shirked military service and weakened the US armed forces. So those people who will sit on their hands during the election will be responsible for our troops being used as props for the Clintons.
It is clear that despite his shorcomings, the Republican Party needs Mitt Romney as its nominee.
I’m tired of the “Hold your nose and” line. Translation: ACT AGAINST YOUR CONSCIENCE.
Where else are we advised to ignore our conscience? Nowehere. We can inform our conscience, but we must never ignore it.
Those who igore it deserve what they get:
1. A RINO making fun of consevatives in office, you “racist” amnesty opponents(although this is unlikely as Hilbama will crush us without our base).
2. More RINO losers because “nose-holders” are saying loud and clear that they’re OK with it.
3. Democrats in control of congress because the swing voters are uneasy of having one party in control of both Pres & conrg.
4. The country moving leftward, not rightward.
5. Bad PR for your party as it betrays its principles.
6. Dems in power (more likely) because you cannot win without your base. Swing voters typically aren’t informed and switch sides nearly at random.
Third party? Maybe: That’s how the GOP started. Stay home? Maybe. Ignore your conscience? Never.
No McAmnesty. No RomnestyCare.
One thing to consider here (if Mcshame wins the nomination) is that he’s getting up there in years. And given the severe aging that comes with being POTUS, it’s a pretty good bet that he won’t run for a second term, and so the 2012 nomination could very well go to the VP (I’m sure Rudy has considered this).
So if McShamnesty is the nominee, a vote for the demoncrat (by direct vote, stay home or write in) may not be the best way to go. And as mentioned above, at least McShame won’t surrender to the islamists as billary and obama will.
But, it ain’t over til it’s over, so don’t surrender yet.
Go Mitt.
From: Armed Forces POW/MIA Web
For 5 ½ years as a POW (three of which he says were spent in solitary confinement), the U.S. Navy awarded McCain a Silver Star, a Legion of Merit for Valor, a Distinguished Flying Cross, three Bronze Stars, two Commendation medals plus two Purple Hearts and a dozen service medals. Navy regulations say two eyewitnesses are required for any award of heroism and McCain has none for the valor awards he received.
On October 27, 1967, four days after being shot down, McCain called for a North Vietnamese guard. He told the officer, “O.K., I’ll give you military information if you will take me to the hospital.”
From: Nam Vets Web
The person in Washington has done more to bury the POW/MIA issue than any other elected official is none other than U.S. Sen. John McCain… despite documents from Soviet Archives that showed that the Vietnamese were holding more than 1,200 American POWs, and released less than 600.
(McCain) traveled to Hanoi in May of 1993 with soon-to-be Ambassador to Vietnam Pete Peterson, and convinced the Communist leadership to agree that they would NEVER MAKE PUBLIC THEIR INTERROGATION FILES OF AMERICAN POWs.
From: ARIZONA’S JOHN McCAIN: A Fraud, “Rhinestone Hero,” and National Security Risk
While a prisoner of war, McCain was treated as a “special prisoner,” with privileges including being given his own private and affectionate nurse…McCain’s treatment as a “special prisoner” is a contradiction to his much publicized image of a great war hero who was severely tortured and kept in solitary confinement for long period’s of time because he refused to break during interrogation. In June 1992, Trung Hieu, a film director from the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture and former North Vietnamese Army photographer, told the U.S. Veteran Dispatch that Hanoi does have considerable film of POW McCain and some of it involves a Vietnamese woman.
During the 1/30 Republican ‘Debate’, McVain was asked a question about his financial expertise which he morphed into his experience as a prisoner of war and now a war hero not for profit. Why did he not mention his experience as a Keating Five member.
There, FIXED.
Remember the Alamo and JUST SAY NO to McSANTA ANNA.
Straight in the face of the most vehement, angry, and determined - and largest opposition to the party leadership IN THE HISTORY OF AMERICA, you tell yourself whatever you want to - go ahead and vote YOUR HEART - and if that is McSanta Anna - PLEASE GO FOR IT.
Tell yourself the GOP will endure most of a year of the GOP standing on stage with the most famous of GOP ADULTEROUS CANDIDATES, one of whom is the most BACKSTABBING GOP member to EVER “remain” an OFFICIAL member of the party - and tell yourself the GOP will survive this campaign for McSanta Anna.
TELL yourself that as he DAILY adds to the insults of his reprehensible spewings against all things CONSERVATIVE, that the CONSERVATIVE Coalition will BUILD itself around him by November.
Go ahead and tell yourself that.
hehehehehehehe
I really want you to do it.
Hey guys - a little while ago, I saw an ad that promises a FREE “VOTE FOR HILLARY” T-SHirt to those who will sign up and promise to vote for her!
JUST LIKE ANN COULTER.
If Mitt Goes down… heheheheheh
I live less than two hours from Mexico’s border in Texas.
NO VOTER OR CANDIDATE who still has DOORS on their homes, and does NOT have blinking neon signs in their yards INVITING the STREET GANGS to come in and make themselves at home AT they themselves THE ACTUAL HOMEOWNER’S OWN PERSONAL EXPENSE (NO INSURED NEED APPLY) - has a right to tell ME I have to line up with the BOTS and vote for some McSanta Anna clone, and his Hanoi John and Toady Chappaquiddick and Harry Reid gang.
If you have the gall to try to sell that garbage to me, I will wait until you are eating and tell you our town’s not-so-minimal local experience with funerals of friends and neighbors and relatives who tried to extend a helping hand to strangers, and what shape they were in when they were buried.
Since my elderly aunt was a Justice of the Peace at the time, I can provide gory details you deserve to hear.
Did you forget that McCain only recently bragged of being endorsed by PUTIN “of Germany”?????
