al Qaeda commander dead
A leading al Qaeda member in Afghanistan, Abu Laith al-Libi, has been killed, a Web site often used by the group and other Islamists said on Thursday.
A banner on the Ekhlaas.org site said Libi had fallen as a martyr, without giving further details.
It was not immediately clear if Libi’s death was linked to a suspected U.S. missile strike that killed up to 13 foreign militants in Pakistan’s North Waziristan region this week.
The attack had targeted second or third tier al Qaeda leaders, according to residents in the tribal area.
Tribesmen in the area had said a deputy of Libi, a senior al Qaeda leader, had been staying there and was among the dead, according to an intelligence official.

I am certain that if our military were allowed to perform operations in the Waziristan tribal regions of ‘Pakistan’ the war would be over and our enemy would have lost already.
I’m glad that we got one of the commanders. Hopefully it will deter any new guys from wanting the post, and maybe give 2nd thoughts to people who are fighting against the US. Well done and hopefully we’ll get rid of all the bad guys there.

How can this be? Isn’t that just like Bushitler and his cronies. Where was his “Due Process” If they new where he was, why did they not go in and arrest him so that they could bring him to trial and put him in prison. Where is the ACLU? By the way, a comment replying to tgusa #67, but also to others who have made similar comments on this blog: don’t write Europe off yet (I am European). Look at our political parties, look at our history. And look beyond what current European parties are desperately trying to do to prevent real Europeans (i.e. majority of half a billion inhabitants) are attempting to do to keep our countries and civilization fuctioning normally. Things will turn out the way they should as soon as the mainstream parties realise that they are outnumbered by popular vote.
