The Full Faculty of Hofstra University voted overwhelmingly to support a resolution against the University’s exclusive contract with Coca-Cola.

Here is the good part:

As educators, we often encourage our students to see how they are connected to the world around them. How their fates are interconnected with the fates of people living and working in different neighborhoods, different cities, even different countries. How human practices of production and consumption are connected with the quality of the natural environment… Moreover, as educators, we encourage our students to become aware of and engaged in the pressing issues of our times. In so doing we seek to make our shared vision of participatory democracy a meaningful reality…I was, therefore, particularly pleased when Hofstra students overwhelmingly passed a referendum calling upon the Administration not to renew our university’s exclusive vending contract with Coca-Cola due to the corporation’s profiting from human rights violations and environmental degradation…As an institution of higher education we are the voice of conscience in our society. As an institution of over 10,000 people, we also have the consumer power necessary to promote responsible corporate practices. I call upon my fellow faculty members to express our strongest desire to no longer subsidize a corporation that profits from the murdering of trade union leaders, that profits from the use of child labor, and that profits from the sale of toxic chemicals.

I guess profiting from treason against the US and supporting Islamic violence in those different countries is okey dokey, but the horrors of Coca Cola must be stamped out at any cost!

Despite an explicit pledge to uphold Abdel-Rahman’s court-ordered isolation, Stewart, a jury found, smuggled in messages from terrorist Rifa’l Ahman Tara urging the sheik to support renewed Islamic violence in Egypt – then smuggled out a coded dispatch that torpedoed a cease-fire between the sheik’s terror organization and the Egyptian government.

If that’s not abetting terrorism, it’s hard to say what is.

So, most likely, people died in Egypt as a result of the notes passed back and forth between the terrorist and the starry eyed “lawyer”. Judge Koeltl and Judge Guido Calabresi should be scrutinized because of these “poor judgements”.

So now a terrorist sympathizer is preparing to teach a legal ethics class at Hofstra U.? Wow, talk about falling through the looking glass…

Yes, I am not surprised by this at all. I would be willing to bet the political leanings of the jusdge that lightly slapped her wrist were not escatly Right of center, let alone anywhee near conservative.

How much more damage can we afford to take to our soverignty, security and safety before someone in Washington finally takes these anti-American, seditious SOB’s serious and finally begins to try and punish them all for the various acts of teason and sedition they commit on any given day?

I seriously doubt that the majority ofthe people in this country would have a problem with any of them going to the gallows or before a firing squad. It has gone on too long and definaltely gone too far.

In the interest of compassion and humanity, could you please toss an electronic burka over that picture?

If Stewart receives a sentence of less than 30 years, perhaps the trial judge should serve the difference between 30 years and Stewart’s sentence. Such a light sentence is tantamount to aiding and abetting an aider and abetter. That just might put an end to judicial policy making.

Allowing this trash to teach is likened to gasoline teaching fire to burn.
