Hillary turns on the spigot again Updated

By Michelle Malkin  •  February 4, 2008 11:10 AM

Update: Cough, cough.

Click for full photo. The AP caption reads: “Democratic presidential hopeful, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., gets emmotional as she speaks about her time as a volunteer at the Yale Child Study Center, Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, in New Haven, Conn., during a round table discussion. Clinton volunteered at the center while she was a law student at Yale in the 1970’s.”

Oh, crikey. Not again. The tears of a clown are flowing once more. Why not? It worked last time with the Tyra Banks/Entertainment Tonight crowd. Via The Swamp:

Sen. Hillary Clinton teared up this morning at an event at the Yale Child Study Center, where she worked while in law school in the early 1970s.

A doctor, who was introducing Clinton, began to choke up, leading Clinton’s eyes to fill with tears, which she wiped out of her left eye. At the time, the doctor was saying how proud he was that sheepskin-coat, bell-bottom-wearing young woman he met in 1972 was now running for president.

“Well, I said I would not tear up; already we’re not exactly on the path,” Clinton said with emotion after the introduction.

Clinton is holding a roundtable discussion with Connecticut women to talk about childcare and healthcare.

Maybe she was thinking of Oprah, Caroline Kennedy, and Maria Shriver all partying for Obama in Los Angeles.

Time to bring out our Hillary campaign theme album out again.

Meanwhile, she’s all smiles when a BDS supporter goes off.

    So what?

    What did that entail?
    Did it accomplish anything meaningful?
What exactly did SHE do there?
    Anything meaningful, positive, effective?
I think these questions should be addressed before she is exalted and worshipped for volunteering somewhere as a law student 35 years ago.

I ask again…has this woman, who wants to win the job that will have such tremendous influence on the lives of all of us, ever had a REAL job in her life?
Did she actually do any WORK at the Rose law firm?

That’s another question that should be addressed.

I wonder if Hillary cried when she was sliming Barack Obama with the “slumlord” charge. I wonder if she cried when she sickeningly tied him to Thom Rezek’s slum tenements. This is how the Clinton big lie technique works. Mr. Rezek has slum dwellings. Rezek also knows Barack Obama. So as far the Clintons are concerned, it is fair game to throw the “Slumlord” charge at Obama. The Clintons know what they are doing. The use of the word “slumlord” when directed by the Clintons at Obama was the Clintons’ way of hurling the Uncle Tom smear at Obama. The Clintons were essentially saying: Obama calls himself African-American. Yet look at him: He works for the man.
The Clintons want it both ways: TO hurl the Uncle Tom charge at Obama and then wink to white votrs and say: “Obama is another Jesse Jackson.”
Hillary should cry her eyes out that she behaved this way.

    David,

How is it inappropriate to point out how a candidate handles stress?

Michelle’s a bit shrill, I’ll grant you, but it has always been such. You know what you’re getting into when you come here.

Which doesn’t change the fact that the underlying point is valid: do we want/need a president who gets weepy over things like this?

What would she do if/when we lost another space shuttle - bawl?

What happens if, God forbid, we had another serious terrorist attack under her watch? Do we need to have the Secret Service carry Depends, in case the president loses control of her bodily functions?

What Hillary is going through now is real enough, but it’s nothing compared to the meat grinder that is the presidency.

You seen a picture of Dubya recently? That’s the most fitness-obsessed POTUS we’ve ever had, and he looks like he’s aged 20 years since 2000.

I’m using a bit of hyperbole here, but not much. If Hillary is getting teary eyed now, over this stuff, we’re in for an emotional nightmare if she gets elected.

Michelle’s fair to call that out, IMHO.

One of the most critical problems America faces is that the Clintons (both of them) are not called out on their phoniness.

    #47:

    Shrill (from on-line dictionary.com):

    4. betraying some strong emotion or attitude in an exaggerated amount, as antagonism or defensiveness.

I assume you meant #5, and NOT #4.

I don’t think Ms. Malkin exaggerates.

Again, that seem to be part of the problem with the Clintons and their buddies…whichever of the myriad scandals, comments, actions, etc. is under discussion, one of the rejoinders from their supporters to their accusers almost always seems to be, “you’re exaggerating….”

    2. Both instances of tears were shed on her own behalf. So even if real, she was crying for herself. Does she show any real depth of emotion for all the people she claims she wants to help? All I ever hear is extremely harsh rhetoric and hollow claims of compassion that will be expressed through more government programs.

When she starts sheding some tears for the sorry state of our culture, the diseaster that has occured to our public schools or taxpayers forced to fund entitlement pyramid schemes I will feel a little empathy.

Crocodile tears from the weakminded and thin skinned cowardly fools representing those that would sell our country’s soul to the enemy of justice, righteousness and freedom.

the only thing weaker, scarier, and worse than the cry-baby thin-skinned traitors that are running for President and can’t handle the pressures of the campaign and are terrified of real questions and feel like people are picking an them are the sad, weak minded fools that actually support them, will vote for them and feel they will make good leaders and will benefit this country.
