Racist? During the T.R. and Taft years, the gov’t was integrated. Wilson segregated it when he got in. And don’t forget that when Wilson was incapacitated, his WIFE assumed control of the gov’t! (She wouldn’t let anyone see him and would relay “his” policy decisions to the Cabinet.) Sound familiar?

   The second time was when Perot got 19% of the popular vote and none of the electoral votes. That allowed Clinton to be elected. With Bill as the figure-head and his WIFE running the show.

   I don’t like the idea of voting for McCain either, but if it’s a choice between a questionable Republican or a crazy lunatic socialist, I’ll take the Republican.

   But, you see, John, others, like me, see John McCain as more than “a questionable Republican.”

   And, I didnt’ vote for George H.W. “Read My Lips” Bush or William Jefferson “I feel your pain” Clinton in 1992 either.

   I’m more conservative than partisan.

   Some of us vote on principle, not just partisanship.

    That being said, I agree with other posters that it’s not over, yet. McCain has a good lead not the magic number. A lot can happen in the next few months. However, and I’ve said this before, I will vote for McCain, and any conservatives on my ballot. Sen McCain is not my first choice either, however I know he is head and shoulders above EITHER of the Dem candidates. Even with his shortcomings, I would feel more comfortable with him sitting at that desk than the other two. AND I’ll try my best to either take back the Senate and House or at least severely limit the Dem majority.
