A protest at the “Vagina Warriors Award” ceremony
Following up on Code Pink’s attack on the Marine recruitment center in Berkeley, my friends at Gathering of Eagles are mobilizing against the Pinkos elsewhere across the country. If you’re in the Maryland area, check this one out:

Well a unique opportunity has arisen on short notice to confront the founders of Code Pink the communist insurgent group that is responsible for the Berkeley Insult to the United States Marine Corps. All three of the founders, Medea Benjamin, Gael Murphy and Jodie Evans will be at Carroll Community College in Westminster, MD, next Saturday, February 16th, to recieve ‘Vagina Warriors Awards’ from the Women in Black.
This is the perfect opportunity for us all to show how appreciative we are of their efforts to slander our military and our Marines!

I honestly think these women deserve such a fitting award. No other group has more brains in their “vaginas” than these broads.
I hope and pray at least 10,000 patriots show up to protest those silly dingbats (no offense to real, God loving, patriotic women)!
Sorry for being slow, but what are the “Women in Black?” For an instant I had the image of a group of Burga-clad followers of the ROSE (Religion Of Submission Everywhere.) Then I realized, they wouldn’t be hanging around the Pink Ladies. Not their type.
Note: I do expect in a generation that the Pink Ladies will be contentedly wearing Burqas, but that is another matter for another time.
Then I was thinking of the amusing “Men in Black” movies. I’m missing something vital, I’m sure, for those women have no sense of humor.
The country cannot survive without military. It also cannot survive without taxes. Are not people who trash the IRS also traitors? What about Quakers who refuse to serve in the military on religious grounds?
Bottom line: be careful when you call someone else a nut.
One more thing, why hasn’t a certain pro-military Republican, and war hero as you may have heard, spoken out about this? Just curious, no criticism implied in any way, shape, or form of the great patriot nominee-to-be.
They’re like a bunch of little kids giving each other awards at little award ceremonies of their own devising.. self-delusion to the extreme.

This is one of the few downsides in living in the middle of nowhere Idaho. I never get a chance to take part in these counter protests. It is just too far to go I guess I will have to be satisfied by reaching into my wallet to keep them funded so they can continue to fight the good fight against these traitors. I watched the woman in the photo on the factor last night supposedly she isn’t anti marine just anti war doesn’t want a marine to kill anyone in battle…so is code pink down at the local planned parenthood protesting the samething killing?

Lgm: You cannot equate the United States Marines with the Internal Revenue Service. It’s one thing to have a negative opinion of a government branch which takes your money, no matter how necessary it may be. It’s another to disparage and denegrate a 232 year old institution which has defended this country and has done so mainly through volunteer citizen sacrifice and determination.
As to the ‘Quaker’ scenario – I highly doubt anyone here would rail against anyone who was against war based on their religion’s call for peace. Also, I don’t see any Quakers chaining themselves across a recruiter’s doorway wearing blaze orange jumpsuits and black hoods, calling our troops baby killers and mass murderers.
Our country has an outlet for those religious objections even when there was a draft – it was called ‘conscientious objectors’ and they weren’t forced into battle.
The fact is that these code-pink people have found that they are too inept and incapable of changing the course of the policies set forth in DC – so they’ve moved their protests to a more welcome atmosphere – Berkeley.
It certainly seems that Ms Benjamin and the others seem to travel quite a bit – Washington, California, etc…. must be nice to not have a job and just travel on donation money all over the country and world – getting famous for being rebellious – all paid for by others.
Propaganda? Mass murder? These hippies are insane! I am all for freedom of speech, BUT city council members DO NOT have the right to sit there and make statements that undermine our military. I am shocked to see these people using their governmental positions to denigrate our troops. These people are spitting in the faces of the men and women who have died so that they could be free, and it is a disgrace!

JRL is spot on. There is legitimate concenr about the need of the IRS, when there may be more efficient and effective manners of producing income for the government. An example of a legit IRS gripe might be their ability to sieze property without due process in a civil matter. Shouldn’t anyone concerned about individual rights be concerned about that? The Marine Corps does not have that right.
So, tell us how they are the same. And please do not embarrass yourself by injecting times of ‘civil unrest,’ in other words riots.

Trolls have no logical thought processes to support their notions. Theirs will always be emotionally-based responses. They will always be counted on to present unsubstantiated “facts,” use dubious surveys or polls, and ultimately demonize those who actually CAN produce unaltered facts.
So, why bother feeding the trolls? They add nothing to a discussion, other than a dissenting, whining points of view, and mischaracterizations of fact.
The term “Vagina Warriors” is so, wrong. Generally, when any term is couple with the word “warrior”, it connotes one who fights for a cause reflected in the word preceding it. “Peace Warriors” would connote those fighting for peace. Do they really mean to imply that they are fighting for Vaginas? Frankly, the phrase would probably be more appropriate for a group of horny college frat brothers.
I would offer them a humble suggestion. Since they insist on using a term that includes both a part of the female anatomy and a term that offers insight into their cause, why not just call themselves “BOOBS”?
If I remember from my trip to the Vagina Monologues back in college, these are not “women.” They are “womyn.”

You said it yourself. You argue. If you could maintain a conversation based on facts (Even if you tossed in the occasional opinion) you would probably get by much easier in life than you will by arguing.
That being said, it is what turns so many [rational] people off to liberalism. Ideas outside of their collective thought are met with emotional outbursts and arguments rather than an examination of facts and rational discussion.
Then again, I suppose they have their own definition of rational as evidenced by their actions.

Ignore lgm’s comments or address the substance, but the “don’t feed the trolls” nonsense just makes you look like a lightweight. Don’t be afraid to engage in a bit of debate with someone with a different perspective on the issues. It might provide a nice change from the constant reach around action most of you give one another on a regular basis around here.

As to your posts above, I do have an observation.
If you actually looked at lgm’s comments, you’d see he doesn’t seem to have any interest in arguement. He popped in and dropped a statement, which was then rebutted by JRL. lgm’s substance was directly challenged with a good, reasoned argument.
Later, Blind_Mule kicked in a humorous cartoon. (Although it could have been better if it had a peace sign tattoo on it’s arm.)
lgm’s response to the two posts was to make a silly comment about the ‘don’t feed troll’ post, while ducking the substantive post by JRL.
Quite frankly, if that is the way a liberal is going to respond, perhaps they don’t deserve the respect of actual debate.

Abusive tax laws were the reason this country was founded! The current socialist income tax is another reason for the patriotic in this country to stand up and fight. We need to kill all socialism before it destroys us.
As for the IRS, they have routinely violated constitutional rights. They kick down doors without warrants, they steal property under the color of law, they use fear and intimidation to acheive compliance of voluntary tax laws, they are what is WRONG with this country.
The military does not kick down doors and drag U.S. citizens off to prison. It does not steal property or use fear and intimidation to force people to voluntarily pay taxes. This isn’t like North Korea, China, the (former) Soviet Union, where the military is conscripted and will do the government’s bidding. Our military is made up of citizen soldiers that understand that freedom is not free and must be paid in blood. The Supreme Soviet of Berkeley is a bunch of overage adolescents. Taking away any federal money would serve them right.
My father fought in WWII to stop the National Socialist scum, and what have we done? We’ve taken the worst of National Socialism and allowed the IRS to use those very tactics that this country fought against. Those same tactics are what liberals deem “necessary” for tax collecton.
I have no argument against taxes, per se. Yes, governments do need money. My argument is HOW they are collected and HOW MUCH the government really needs. The military is constitutionally mandated, though the funding must be voted on every two years. Welfare, Social Security, Medicare, etc. are all unconstitutional and should be stopped.
There are ways for the government to collect taxes without using Gestapo-esque tactics to enforce the tax laws. Go read the FairTax book and learn what freedom can be.
As for the Quakers, jrlingreenbay has it right and nothing more need be said about it.
Dakine- Your self-claimed conservatism doesn’t seem that traditional to me. You fit more into the mold of liberalism, resorting to potty-mouthed retorts, labeling, and intimating that you hold a higher moral authority than others.
As far as being an “idiological drone with authoritarian tendencies” goes, that is so far from the truth, it is rediculous. I believe in the power of right, and don’t need anyone to tell me how to think. And authoritarian? What have you ever read, that I penned, that would make you think that? Is it because I believe in the rule of law, and feel those who bend it for personal gain (some lawyers) are helping to destroy America? All I ask of anyone is to use reason and common sense when making an argument.

I’ll agree that a detained citizen should get a day in court, even a secret court. But I think you are stretching quite a bit in trying to equivocate as you did in post #4.
Both the military and the IRS are necessary evils. When you build a bomb, the best thing that can happen is that it goes to waste.

And if mounting a national defense is necessary, how can acting to prevent such a defense not be the actions of a traitor?
Please feel free to critique the lawywer joke as well. I can’t recall any, so I looked at an old book called 10,000 Jokes, Toasts and Stories. It’s probably one of the better jokes.
The federal courts are there to deal with Berkeley and its individual government officials. Appeals to Congress are really meaningless as Pelosi and Reid will block any action. Go to court as that is where justice resides.
