Fred's right: it is about what's best for the country. And what's best for the country is to taste what it is about to get: a loser for president.

If Fred is endorsing McCain, I guess it's fair to say that we were better off without him all along - even though he was my candidate.

Thus, I say "hold your votes, let Obama carry the day, and let the country see just what liberalism is about."

We either learn and survive, or we don't deserve to.

Not in their wildest imaginations did Washington, Adams, and Jefferson envision madness such as this.

A court over-ruling the voice of the people on gay "marriage?" Do you realize that the very concept of that would have gotten you pilloried in 1780? Could you imagine even mentioning the term in front of Washington, or even Lincoln?

I guess I'm not "progressive" enough. And in 20 years we'll be saying the same thing about NAMBLA... "do you remember when people were so uptight about pedophelia? Sheeeesh..."

But here we are. A "republican" governor thinking that it's A-OK. The same governor who supports the "conservative" candidate.

Here we are... Both presidential candidates saying "borders? what borders?"

Here we are... People routinely being forced to give 1/3 or more (a LOT more) of their own income to corrupt state and federal governments?

This is what we fought against, people. Not what we were built upon.

I used to hold Fred Thompson in pretty high esteem. But, that just did him in for me.

I don't care if they were chums in the Senate. This isn't make believe in Law & Order. This is real life.

"Close ranks"? "Fall in line"? How about kiss my behind?

I'll make up my own mind about whom I will or will not support, regardless of what all of these people endorsing McCain say. If I do end up voting for him, it sure as heck won't be because a host of self-serving politicians have told me to do so. <em><strong>Ugh!</strong></em>

Another fact of life that Fred knows that many of you do not know.

Your Word/vote/signature is your bond.

What you vote for or "sign on" to, you have an unusual accountability for.

If for instance, you have JUST CAUSE against anyone for CRIMINAL CONDUCT of theirs against you or yours, ALL YOUR CLAIMS BEFORE ANY COURT ARE RENDERED MOOT AND "DISAPPEAR" and become UNPROSECUTEABLE if you officially RECONCILE with the actor/criminal who injured you.

I.E., if a spouse has some abusiveness take place against them, and they file ch arges - usually only done at the same time as such activity as a FILING FOR DIVORCE, the COURT AUTOMATICALLY DROPS ALL CHARGES FOR THE CRIMES AGAINST YOU IF YOU DROP THE DIVORCE PROCEEDINGS AND RECONCILE WITH THE OFFENDING AND ABUSIVE SPOUSE.

Some of you hate some of the things that McCain amd Fred have done (even if you don't know that FRED DID SOME OF IT) - but once you VOTE for such a person AFTER THEY HAVE CO MMITTED SUCH THINGS - YOU SIGNED ON - GAVE YOUR APPROVAL and CEDED YOUR RIGHTS TO COMPLAIN ABOUT SUCH CONDUCT - LEGALLY.

You hate McCain Feingold and McCain Kennedy Shamnesty, BUT VOTE FOR THE AUTHORS, FOR HIGHER OFFICE, you surrendered your liberties and gave those people AUTHORITIES OVER YOU THEY DID NOT HAVE, BEFORE.

YOU AUTHORIZE THEM with your VOTE. YOU back their play for whatever they do with the authority YOU WILLINGLY AND DELIBERATELY AND WITH KNOWLEDGE gave to them and empowered them with.

And you earned it.

No court will hold you innocent and a victim, and thus hold THEM accountable for CRIMINALLY VIOLATING YOU, by reason of YOUR (deliberate and willful) ignorance.

A lot of folks hate Ann Coulter - but NONE can pick holes in her research she does for her material.

Many of these others are prestigeous and have solid reputations, whether you agree with them, or not - George Will is another whose article listed here is chock full of INFORMATION. He is plenty reputeable, too.

Most of these guys CITE SPECIFICS enough for the reasearch to be pretty easy for those who care about FACTS - like how the entire Supreme Court DID NOT SHOW UP at Bill's last Inaugural address.

The perjury that Fred endorsed may not have been significant to you, but when this entire Supreme Court Bench UNANIMOUSLY takes such a stand, very publicly - it ain't no small potatoes.

This information has been all over Fox News and the internet ALL YEAR LONG, and if some haven't availed themselves of their SEARCH ENGINES, it is hardly my fault.

This current mess has been brewing for many decades - if anyone here is delusional enough to think all it will cost is "another trip around the mountain", you are in for a sad shocker.

School is OUT. THIS one if for REAL LIFE.

And I see you cannot tolerate having a lot of it around you - you hate for someone to cite the FACTS, first and foremost.
It makes it difficult for you to feel you can CON people into doing WHAT IS WRONG by following Socialism blindly.

Not for McCain.</blockquote>

It ain't even a consideration.

And when the idea of it feels IDENTICAL in my guts - no shadow of difference in the least - to voting for HILLARY, then I know the one screaming at me that it is vitally necessary that I do it IS NOT THE VOICE OF GOD, Who gives me great peace that passes all understanding, no matter how hard or difficult or painful the assignment FROM HIM.

This one ain't from God - I have no second thoughts about it.

It ain't an option or a consideration.

Like it is not a thought that I must move to the moon without oxygen producing equipment and set up a colony to escape the volcano of Yellowstone.

Never enters my mind that God is calling me to do that. Ya know whut I mean?

Especially if it is Rick Perry doing the screaming with Kay Bailey Hutchison by his side!

SO LOL!

I have a little list going, of true Conservatives, and come November, I will WRITE IN a name of a good man or woman on that top line, and I will vote for good folks down below, who have earned the right to ask for my vote for other offices.

But a vote for McCain cannot save the union.

I will be praying to God and asking Him to remember all the prayers of our Founding Fathers, from the Boston Tea Party to the Alamo, and San Jacinto.

If the GOP won't stand on THEIR SIDE, then I am "STANDING CLEAR".

Amen.

I could not agree more with both of your articles and I said as much in previous posts.
The whole process has been a fraud on the Republican party.

Brent Winterble stated in his article:
"<strong>What we have is the sick and twisted dreams of Pinch Sulzberger, Don Imus, Maureen Dowd, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews come true: the GOP has been forced to choose a nominee designed to cause the base to retch, and thereby not vote. Guaranteeing 4 years of Clinton score settling or Obama socializing entire corporate sectors.</strong>"

and another quote:
<strong>"This is our party, not John McCain’s or Mel Martinez's, or Lindsay Graham’s. The Republican Party is THE conservative party dammit. Let’s admit it and take it back. RINOS and Liberals have taken the GOP plane hostage, and its time for us passengers to revolt…and do what has to be done -- Let’s Roll."</strong>

As a Republican all my life, I will vote for Obama before I vote for McCain. This country is in big trouble. I hope the next four years pass quickly. The good news is that the fight against illegals is moving ahead so maybe we can keep the illegal population from increasing at the prior alarming rates. Oh, I am forgetting that they breed like rabbits with all medical, housing, schooling and living expenses paid by the taxpayers.
