Yo, check my homeslice for president

By Michelle Malkin  •  February 11, 2008 05:47 PM

Is it just me or is there something unbearably unbearable about Barack Obama’s supporters trying too hard to speak the language? Via Yahoo! News, the audacity of cornball:

homeboy.jpg

Just a matter of time before the wrong person repeats it–and gets accused of racism.

Fortunately, or rather, unfortunately, other presidential campaigns are using the “hip” vernacular to appeal to youth voters, too.

Gag:

Double-gag:

homeboymac.jpg

That is whack, yo.

Che Guevara flags always appeal to The Yoots, too. Ask Barack Obama’s campaign office in Houston!

I believe it’s very revealing about many of the people voting for Obama. I watched a Dem focus group on Fox that was asked about the one thing Obama has done that has gotten them excited about voting for him. Not one of them could give an answer. As a matter of fact, I have yet to hear anyone, anywhere give an answer related to what he would do as President.

Listening to a radio show (The Tom Leykis show, now before the ladies start hammering me, please note this is the only station I can get in the office) and He had a topic last week why Hillary is doing better than Barack. Today, Leykis just read an email he received. It was from a Latino, who stated Mexican Americans will vote for anybody other than Barack because he’s black. WOW WOW WOW. This is Los Angeles so I’m sure there is going to be huge reaction.

I hope that these comments here don’t make folks think we are out of touch. My boys (teens) use terms like homeboy, etc.. with each other from time to time. It’s street. That is what kids do. I find it better not to mock them. I don’t let them address me this way, or granny, teachers or anyone they should respect (they should respect everyone but, they are teenagers). They get it. As for the t-shirts themselves, we have them for our side. The more the merrier. I like capitalism. Call me an old-fogey conservative.

    Oh, no!

Which is an interesting statement on race in America in our time.

A guy with equal claim to black and white ancestry chooses to be identified as black.

Who would do that if it entailed a disadvantage?

Anything negative about Obama is considered “racist”…oh…unless it’s a liberal democrat, of course. He would then be considered “misguided”. Obama is using the “race card” for as much as he can get. People are voting for him simply because he is black. He could be a black Stalin or Pol Pot. Don’t matter, these days. We must pay our pentance for slavery even if our own ancestors were in no way involved, or some of our ancestors were slaves of the Africans. Such is how our society has evolved. Victims and those who must be repentant. Give me a “Thomas Sowell”, “Larry Elder” or “Walter Williams” and I’ll be first to support him. We have a man here, totally inexperienced, with a socialist platform, asking everyone to support him based on color. (Not a sermon, just a thought)

If you want to see something hilarious, check out the youtube video of Mitt Romney trying to get down with his peeps in Jacksonville, Florida on MLK Day. Poor Mitt is actually singing “Who Let the dogs out?”, which was popular about 10 years ago (and never especially popular among African-Americans) and then Mitt actually starts using the word “bling bling”. Somehow, I doubt “bling bling” is a word used often around the Romeny household in Bemont, Ma. The lesson of the video is to try to be yourself, not somebody else.

Tre, when you paint an oppisition in a majority light, concentrate on entertianment, urban areas and TV to show this as being “cool”, you gain control of the local centers of commerance and the population centers. Gag…I think I threw up in my mouth a little. Why can’t people just speak English instead of slang or ghetto? Michelle, can you help me out?

Anyhoo, these peeps be trippin’ over his hotness (Obama). You feelin’ me? That’s the little of slang/ghetto I can speak. I used to substitute teach in urban schools- kids speak this way all the time (and it’s not the white kids).

It’s funny how each new generation of voting-eligible youth seems to be more deluded and vulnerable to empty slogans than the one that preceded it. Well, my first vote was for Bob Dole so what do I know?
