Yo, check my homeslice for president
Is it just me or is there something unbearably unbearable about Barack Obama’s supporters trying too hard to speak the language? Via Yahoo! News, the audacity of cornball:
Just a matter of time before the wrong person repeats it–and gets accused of racism.
Fortunately, or rather, unfortunately, other presidential campaigns are using the “hip” vernacular to appeal to youth voters, too.
Gag:
That is whack, yo.
***
Che Guevara flags always appeal to The Yoots, too. Ask Barack Obama’s campaign office in Houston!

Its all over.
Yeah, it’s gagging, but not as much as the Paulians pretending to be conservatives or Constitutionalists.
Figures. The left tail of the Bell Curve has a lot of denizens for whom the t-shirt is a high-end fashion item.
Some people tell me “Chill out E-Dawg.”
Ummm, no.
I don’t speak blinglish. I speak proper English, and prefer associating with those that do as well.
Respectfully,
eric aka the Tygrrrr Express
What everyone’s wardrobe needs…another t shirt. Could we show a little more
respect for someone running for president?
The only thing “homey” about Hussein Obama is his address.
I guess I’m getting old because I just think the tshirts are stupid.
I believe it’s very revealing about many of the people voting for Obama. I watched a Dem focus group on Fox that was asked about the one thing Obama has done that has gotten them excited about voting for him. Not one of them could give an answer. As a matter of fact, I have yet to hear anyone, anywhere give an answer related to what he would do as President.
Michelle…
help me here…
is HOMESLICE a pizza industry term?
…or does it have to do with domestic violence?
Just asking…
Gosh, all of a sudden I don’t feel so guilty when I make initial judgments of my clients based on the shine and condition of their shoes…….
Can Mcinsane beat Obama? OOps, big side track right now. Listening to a radio show (The Tom Leykis show, now before the ladies start hammering me, please note this is the only station I can get in the office) and He had a topic last week why Hillary is doing better than Barack. Today, Leykis just read an email he received. It was from a Latino, who stated Mexican Americans will vote for anybody other than Barack because he’s black. WOW WOW WOW. This is Los Angeles so I’m sure there is going to be huge reaction.
Navywife–the one thing that Obama has done is to perfect the Liberal habit of talking loud and saying nothing. That is what Liberals want in a POTUS,someone who can talk a lot, without doing or saying anything of substance.Example-their admiration for Bill Clinton.Liberal Logic.
homeslice: A complimentary term of endearment often used when sending well wishes. e.g., :”Yo my homeslice, holla up in yo face!”
So his white half doesn’t count?
I hope that these comments here don’t make folks think we are out of touch. My boys (teens) use terms like homeboy, etc.. with each other from time to time. It’s street. That is what kids do. I find it better not to mock them. I don’t let them address me this way, or granny, teachers or anyone they should respect (they should respect everyone but, they are teenagers). They get it. As for the t-shirts themselves, we have them for our side. The more the merrier. I like capitalism. Call me an old-fogey conservative.
Oh, no!
Which is an interesting statement on race in America in our time.
A guy with equal claim to black and white ancestry chooses to be identified as black.
Who would do that if it entailed a disadvantage?
Barizzle is mah homebizzle.
Anything negative about Obama is considered “racist”…oh…unless it’s a liberal democrat, of course. He would then be considered “misguided”. Obama is using the “race card” for as much as he can get. People are voting for him simply because he is black. He could be a black Stalin or Pol Pot. Don’t matter, these days. We must pay our pentance for slavery even if our own ancestors were in no way involved, or some of our ancestors were slaves of the Africans. Such is how our society has evolved. Victims and those who must be repentant. Give me a “Thomas Sowell”, “Larry Elder” or “Walter Williams” and I’ll be first to support him. We have a man here, totally inexperienced, with a socialist platform, asking everyone to support him based on color. (Not a sermon, just a thought)

And it’s working. That is what is sad.
Many of the wealthy kids at Obama’s expensive, private alma mater in Honolulu try to talk ghetto…hey, they’re only a trust fund or two and several million dollar homes from falling straight into the middle class…
I’ve always associated that sort of slang with criminal gangs…

Not quite sure if I did that right. Sorry : / But it is a good one.
Why does a picture of wonder bread there using the term “homeboy” take me back to a scene from the movie “Airplane”?
Sorry. I don’t speak Ebonics, just American English with a pretty heavy Southern accent.
Yo. Word. Get down with my peeps. Gotta gimme my props. You understand what I’m sayin’? You know what I’m talkin’ about.
SPEAK THE KINGS ENGLISH.
As far as Obama goes I haven’t heard any reassons people have to vote for him, except vauge responses. I Guess to sum it up it has to be chirisma, Got Hitler in office and look what he did for Germany.
Calling him “Hussein Obama” is no better than the bs that guys like Olbermann pull with Michelle’s maiden name when talking about immigration.
Do you really think that BO had the choice to be considered “white” or “black”?
I’ve listened to a lot of Obama’s empty rhetoric, but I have never heard him ask for votes based upon his skin color. Also, he isn’t descended from slaves; isn’t his father from Kenya?
I agree with Michelle. It’s cornball nonsense. But then, so is Larry, the Cable Guy.
Ron Rockstar (#15) has a good take. Teens being teens.
I’m far more concerned with the Dems “progressive” pandering to the rest of America with promises of free lunches for everyone.
“Urban”
Brigitte Gabriel was talking to Mike Gallagher today on his radio show and says that in radical Islamic chat rooms, the general consensus is that Obama is one they all want to be our next president.
Did she offer any proof?
LOL! I don’t think I have to worry about seeing to many people wearing any of those T-shirts in our part of Idaho.
Spot on once again DougT.
C’mon bear…I’m with Mookie on this Hussein thing. You’re better than that aren’t you? Demagoguery doesn’t become you brah.
Some of you need to get out a little more. “Homeslice” is a term associated with criminal gangs. Wow. zorro, you sound like you’re about 100 years old. You gotta be kidding me.
Like holding the microphone up to a computer monitor so the radio audience could see for themselves?
Personally, I prefer Barizzle Husizzle Obizzle.
Just to let you squares in on a little lingo. . . the new ‘that’s hot’ is. . .
‘that’s what’s up’. . . or you could just say ‘that’s whasup’!
Sort of like Barack is going to beat Hillary . . . ‘that’s whasup’.
it works pretty well if you get used to hearing it.
As though I needed another reason not to support the “American Socialist Party.” That flag is just the icing on the cake. The strange thing is, if I ever dare to display a Confederate Flag, I’m accused of all sorts of things. But they can display flags for communist countries, and that’s okay.
If you want to see something hilarious, check out the youtube video of Mitt Romney trying to get down with his peeps in Jacksonville, Florida on MLK Day. Poor Mitt is actually singing “Who Let the dogs out?”, which was popular about 10 years ago (and never especially popular among African-Americans) and then Mitt actually starts using the word “bling bling”. Somehow, I doubt “bling bling” is a word used often around the Romeny household in Bemont, Ma. The lesson of the video is to try to be yourself, not somebody else.
Tre, when you paint an oppisition in a majority light, concentrate on entertianment, urban areas and TV to show this as being “cool”, you gain control of the local centers of commerance and the population centers. Given money and time a handful of people could turn most of the US in to a Goose Stepping Nazi flag flying state.
Calling him “Hussein Obama” is no better than the bs that guys like Olbermann pull with Michelle’s maiden name when talking about immigration.
ok, let me get this staright then… so we’re supposed to have a president whose middle name we are not supposed to utter…is “Hussein” the new N-word?
these are all parodies of the “jesus is my homeboy” trend of the early 2000s
Gag…I think I threw up in my mouth a little. Why can’t people just speak English instead of slang or ghetto? This new generation of young people is even more scary than the last (my generation- the echo boomers or Y’ers what have you). I’m 32 so I know I fit under some generational label. Michelle, can you help me out?
Anyhoo, these peeps be trippin’ over his hotness (Obama). You feelin’ me? That’s the little of slang/ghetto I can speak. I used to substitute teach in urban schools- kids speak this way all the time (and it’s not the white kids).
It’s funny how each new generation of voting-eligible youth seems to be more deluded and vulnerable to empty slogans than the one that preceded it. Well, my first vote was for Bob Dole so what do I know?
