Point I’d like to make is we’d greatly enhance our security by simply being VERY choosy about which people come into the USA to visit, study, work and live.
In particular no more than we can psych-screen to see what ethnic and religious hatreds they may harbor.

I make no apologies for the Religion of Pieces however we have Tamils who hate Sinhalese, Sikhs who hate Hindus, Croats and Serbs hating each other, Greeks, Armenians and Assyrians vs. Turks.

And yes we should amend the Constitution to give Congress etc. the tools needed to deal with Islam by means of closing seditious mosques and “Islamic centers”, detaining interning and expelling Muslims irregardless of their place of birth if push comes to shove.
We also need to economically disengage from the Islamic world; domestic energy projects to replace that 20% of our oil we buy from those countries would be a big help, settle any debts to Saudi Arabia, then PULL OUT OF THOSE COUNTRIES – no more trade, no more tourism, minimal diplomatic relations.

Yes you can call me an “America Firster” in the tradition of Chas. A. Lindbergh and Henry Ford.

How can a nation protect itself? Yes, getting democracy in the middle east is a good idea, provided they’re an ally, and we don’t have that yet. We’re huge. our boarders expansive beyond all ability to watch it all. Plus we have liberals who are fighting in courts all over the US to benefit these people just because ideologically they hate America, too.

A few common sense suggestions for that one or two who hasn’t thought of them already:

1. Racial profiling. 100% necessary. We weren’t wringing our hands over hurt feelings in WWII, it’s time to stop that suicidal silliness right now.

2.just about any kind of routine search from anyone coming from the middle east, and yes, men should be strip searched by women specifically because it is humiliating. Why is that good? Because they operate on a different value system: they believe that to die is okay and be strip-searched by a woman is the ultimate unbearable experience. Okay, that’s a good dissuasive technique. Millions of lives are at stake here. Use it.

3.Threaten gigantic military action on a scale that would shock the world. We missed our chance right after 9-11 but it could still be done if the correct degree of fed-up anger was communicated. The world held it’s breath after 9-11. Remember? We were a sleeping giant awakened to anger. The moment we started trying to make nice is when all the verbal attacks against us began. They scented weakness. They smelled blood. Okay. Let them freeze again. Let them be shocked. If they want to have an emergency meeting at the UN – in NYC – fine, but it will be under military guard with loaded weapons angled threateningly. Message? “Turn over your terrorists hiding within 72 hours or the US will begin a progressive nuclear attack against your country to ensure the long-term safety of the United States and its citizens.” Then nuke the ocean somewhere near the coast of one of these regimes to show we aren’t screwing around.(would we actually bomb the nations themselves? Wellll….) Insane? Horrifying? A nightmare scenario beyond belief?Perhaps. But what do you want to bet we’d have to build another 50 Gitmos to hold all the guys being thrown at us?

Our problem is not that we are bullies. our problem is, quite frankly, that when threatened, we don’t bully enough.

Admittedly such actions will never occur.But they should. Especially number 3. They thought we were a benign and beneficial sleeping giant awakened to a terrible anger. We should have taken the opportunity to have proved them right. Now we’re mired in a morass on the wrong road.

The latest innovation in violent jihad? “Pregnancy prosthetics.”
