Go ahead. Give them the $1.4 billion. Only tie it to our deficit that we have with them (how the heck do we have a deficit with Mexico???). Anyway, the deficit is $75 billion. Here is $1.4 billion. Now the deficit is $73.6 billion.

The whole idea that Mexico needs foreign aid is pathetic. Mexico’s economy is the tenth largest in the world and in terms of GDP, is number one in Latin America.

Mexico is an oligarchy with some of the richest people in the world. Carlos Sims, the multi billion dollar owner of Mexico’s Telmex Telecom monopoly has surpassed Bill Gates as one the richest men in the world. Forbes magazine list of billionaires published in 2005, “a substantial proportion of Latin American billionaires, 10 out of 26, were Mexican as of 2005”.

According a recent study by the Mexico chapter of Transparency International, some $2.3 billion-approximately 1 percent-of the country's economic production goes to officials in bribes, with the poorest families paying nearly 14 percent of their income in bribes.

Central to Mexico’s oligarchy economic strategy is maintaining the billions of dollars in remittance money flowing south, thereby keeping a lid on social unrest among the masses. In that way, the oligarchy preserves its enormous power and riches.

The immigration scam is very successful: the rulers export their unemployment to the United States and get back billions in remittance cash annually— In 2005, remittances totaled over 20 billion.

So when el Presidente Vicente Fox complains that the "dignity" of Mexicans living illegally in America requires that they receive free healthcare on the U.S. taxpayer's dime, he is really talking about increased remittances to keep their whole corrupt system afloat.

Mexico’s oligarchy is also in the drug business and the heads of the narco families occupy the very top of the Mexican Government.

Maybe Carlos Sims should write a check to the Mexican Government instead of demanding United States taxpayers foot the bill.
