Yesterday, I noted the Che chic decor at Barack Obama’s campaign office in Houston.
Where the hell does someone go to buy one of those things?

Facts: Barack Obama did explicitly refuse to wear a flag pin, and there are not one, but two Cuban flags with Che Guevara on them at Obama’s Houston campaign office.
If I’m “insinuating” anything, it’s this: when you actively pander to and encourage the radical leftist elements of your party, as the Democrats have been determinedly doing for the past eight years, you’re going to end up with embarrassing scenes like this.
And attacking the messenger who points it out is standard political damage control.

What amazes me is people reach this level of politics and apparently don’t have a clue. I mean take five mins a Google Che to see if perhaps you might be displaying someone who is pretty much considered a murderer.
You can buy this kind of stuff pretty much anywhere. I once bought a red hammer & sickle T-Shirt in London, it was very trendy (and no I’m not a communist, although I have seen Karl Marx’s tomb, also in London. Ironically you have to pay to get in the cemetary, so seems as if capitalism has got him cornered even after his death!).
Pretty much? The jury is already out on that one.
The deification of Che Guevara is the most embarrassing aspect of the young and naive Left.
Although it provides good shorthand for deciding if you’re dealing with a smart liberal or just some kid trying to look badass.
This is the same Che that told the press that North Korea was a model to which revolutionary Cuba should aspire.
Kudos to all the Che supporters out there, I’m sure Kim Jong-Il salutes you!

Well, there’s liking Che, and then there’s liking a guy whose name sounds like your greatest enemy, and his other name is exactly the freakin same as your other enemy.

Somehow the fact that communist governments murdered somewhere north of 100MM of their own citizens in the 20th century never gains traction on the liberal side of the political spectrum.
I was kinda upset recently when flying into Shannon Airport in Ireland and being greeted with a Che picture hanging on the wall where arriving passengers pass through. I found it odd so I did some research. Apparently Che had Irish blood and is seen as a sympathetic martyr over there. I’m not exacly going to boycott the country of my ancestors over this but you learn something new every day as they say.
Both images are equally shameful in my mind. But you’re right. The Confederate flag does seem to get an awful lot more press.
Of course, that would change if the Massachusetts state flag had Che’s picture on it.

If I am understanding this correctly from what I read on the sites linked, these fellows are volunteers and not official campaign offices.
So, I guess that gets Obama off the hook, though his campaign ppl should prolly mention to these folks that Che isn’t so cool.
In any case, Che = murderer, and it does always irk me whenever I see a kid walking around with a Che T-shirt, or a hammer and sickle, etc.
But, its usually just naive and dumb kids, or in this case, naive and dumb adults.
It’s seldom anything malicious and the kids/adults that wear these shirts idea of “revolution” is usually at most writing a strongly worded term paper.
I dont like it, but I am often reminded when I look in the mirror (when I see the tattoo of a dragon and holes in my ear that never closed) that I was once a bit of a rebellious kid too.
So, that said, does it irk me? Yes. Do I think this is something to get excited over? Well, no more than the normal run of the mill nonsense out of the moonbat left. *shrug*

I live in Magnolia. My wife an I were watching Fox 26 and she pointed and said “is that…???” I said, “Yes”.
She could’ve put up an American flag, a Texas flag, a Rainbow flag, a picture of her kids, even Obama, but had to go with the murdering commie!!

Personally I see nothing wrong in selling communist memorabilia - if anything, it’s stark proof that it has succumbed to capitalism.
Also I may sound cold and callous but I don’t really care if Che Guevara was a murderer and that communism created millions of victims. Boo hoo. Not my problem. All I care about is this: communism is a fatally flawed economic system and doesn’t work. We mustn’t implement it or we will become poor. End of story.

We figured we weren’t welcome when we saw all the signs in the yards that said “This is my home”, basically they did not want anyone but blacks buying there. I read an article on Newbusters.org website about the Cuba/Che flags in TWO Obama campaign offices in Texas. Someone said that young people just go for the “Che” stuff because he’s a revolutionary who wanted “change.”. Looking at the pics, though, these don’t look like youngsters with wild ideas about some guy they don’t know anything about–they look like older women with an agenda. Just sayin’
