29erkilo.. it is a big swallow to accept mcpain, you’re right. and your assertions are my fears, too. this is the only consolation i have: if, big if here, mcpain wins he can only serve one term. Face it, he is 71 now by the time he takes office he will be 72. after 4 years he’ll be 76.. NO WAY he can run at 76. So, whoever is the VP will have a better chance in 2012. Anything to not watch Huck The Schmuck again in 2012.

ANYTHING! I WOULD EVEN HOLD MY NOSE AND VOTE FOR THE OLD COOT, if a true conservative were his running mate. Best thing could happen is the Old Coot not be able to finish out a full term and we get the Conservative VP take over.

As far as I’m concerned Larraby McCrazy sat on his ass in Hanoi for five years while the rest of us fought the NVA, why didn’t he try to escape if he’s such a great hero, others did, or at least tried. Every body who’s been in the military knows he got his medals for just becoming a POW;there’s something perverse in that if you ask me. Now let me get to Romney; I guess they offered Mitt some high mucketymuck position in the party, and he bent over and took it you know where. What all these RINOs don’t realize is there isn’t go to be any party left if that lunatic gets elected.If your worried about S.C. Judges appointments, just think of the gang of 14 to know what you’ll get under McCrazy, all we can do is hope the old b@$tards hold on another four years.I can’t believe any of you on this site are actually thinking of voting for a man who came right out and said he plans to make twenty or thirty million criminals legal. Have you all lost your minds? If you do plan on voting for the nutjob, do the rest of us a favor and stop refering to yourselve as conservatives, that makes me want to puke.

Probably something to that. Romney must be endorsing now because Huckabee is staying in the race.

Romney stated in his CPAC speach that he wanted the party to unify behind a single candidate. He was probably hoping Huckabee would take the hint and also drop out.

Since Huckabee didn’t and seems to be in the race to the end, Romney now chooses to endorse McCain making Huckabee’s continuing rather pointless, except to waste energy and money in the remaining primaries.

Uniting behind McCain, like it or not, saves money, time and energy which can be saved to use in the inevitable battle with whoever wins the Democratic nominee.

Hopefully, we can all sit back and enjoy watching Obama and Clinton slug it out, exhausting their time, money and emotion in the remaining primaries, right through to the Democratic convention.

Everyone should take great pride in John McCain. He is a man of extraordinary valor, courage and honor. When McCain’s airplane was shot down by Soviet missiles, he nearly drowned and only by his sheer willpower did he survive. His Communist captors would not give him medical attention although his arm was shattered. For two years, John McCain was in constant pain and in physical isolation. He was subject to every form of psychological warfare. And then he was offered a Faustian bargain. Give us a statement, maybe a video, and you are as free as a bird. And yet this extraordinary man of courage refused. He never flinched. He never betrayed his fellow POWs. And when McCain refused the deal, he had no way of knowing how many more years of prison he would have to suffer through. It could be ten, twenty year, he had no way of knowing. That is the measure of this extraordinary man. Everyone should have admiration and support for this great man.

Republican campaign dropout Mitt Romney agreed Thursday to endorse Sen. John McCain for the party's presidential nomination and ask his national convention delegates to swing behind the likely nominee, according to officials familiar with the decision.

Dropout?!?! Wow, this AP story makes Romeny look like a guy who couldn't pass geometry.
