Some say this program is working. Some say it isn’t.
Now the ACLU will be up in arms that Al Qaeda is not being rep’d by attnys.
I’m surprised that the Sons of Iraq aren’t being accused of profiling.
LOL Texas Tiger. We’ll also see Rosie make a case for them as well: “They are mothers and fathers too:.”
Someone call the Justice Brothers!!!
This article is good news, though. I wonder how long this training has been in the works/going on? (Mebbe I missed it in the article)
Since Bush took over, that is. Is that a long time? If we’re using mayfly years I guess it is.
Rosie, LGM, the trolls, et. al they’re all crying in their beer that AQ is not being given attys at the US govt. expense. IDIOTS ALL!
I know. A victory for America is a defeat to the trolls, dems, MSM, Hollywood, DEMS, and just to make sure I didn’t forget to list them, the Dems.
This is the ACLU, guys. There’s no way they’ll be up in arms… and they’ll take anyone to court who actually is (2nd amendment-wise).
I know I’m a soft touch…
but I do have a lump in my throat when I see anyone stepping up and showing courage.
I hope Iraq makes it. A lot of people have put out a lot on the prospect…
from lots of different places.
That is great to see. Iraq’s Minutemen in the making.
Some root for America to win and some for America to lose. Some hope for a win in Iraq to make America more secure and Iraq a better country. Some hope for a failure in Iraq to make the Democrats stronger, and who cares what happens to America’s security or to the people of Iraq.
Good story by Gordon Alanko. Awsome pictures. Wait till the ACLU get wind….3…2…1….
LGM how would you make it work? are you secretly hoping a Saddam type returns to power? Don’t we already have enough Saddamite dictators in the world already? Why would you want one more? It amases me that the demos have no solution but only gripe about how others are trying to make it work. Still waiting for Kerry’s plan too.
Iraq army in the lead in Mosul, Iraq: Michael Yon (audio post at that link)
I wouldn’t say you’re a soft touch, Ragspierre (#10)–and your last sentence is very true.
lgm: it’s not going to be a completely successful program in all places at all times. Based on press reporting–mostly the lack thereof–the plan is doing pretty well. Don’t forget that Iraq, which is still essentially a tribal society, lived under a totalitarian regime for a generation and has all sorts of terrorists who have been going in to Iraq for their own purposes. It will take time to eliminate the terrorists and getting a functioning, civil society again.
This just makes me prouder than ever to be an American, whose support for this undertaking has never wavered. In the end, there will be an annual liberation holiday in Iraq. They will be thanking America and her allies for giving them back their country. And we will be thanking GW for making the world a safer place.
