Defend your neighborhood military recruitment center
In the wake of the Code Pink/Berkeley attack on the Marine recruiting center, anti-war loons are redoubling their efforts to harass and impede business at military recruitment centers across the country.

Second, the military recruiting station in Washington, D.C. at 14th and L was trashed by anarchist students. They brag: “Funk the War storms, trashes 14th and L military recuiter (sic).”
After many previous protests had found the 14th st recruiter “closed” at 5PM, Funk the War found them open, and the door unlocked at nearer to 6Pm and promptly exploited the situation by demonstrating to them first hand how an occupying force behaves.
After a loud commotion inside while outnumbered cops watched, recruiters finally managed to get protesters to leave-but not before literature and full-body length cardboard displays in the street window area were destroyed. In addition, hundreds more “Funk the War” stickers were plastered all over just about everything that would take them. By the time everyone was out it looked like a tornado had swept through the lobby.
One recruiter tried to grab an activist but found himself overpowered by SDS’s superior strength and numbers and had no choice but to give up!
This came on the heels of the whole group marching in K st and Connecticut Ave at the height of rush hour, closing War Profiteer’s Row to cars fro quite a while. The group closed out by going after DC GOP headquarters, but that door was locked and there were too many cops around to break it down.
If you are in the area, there is going to be a counter-protest. Beverly Perlson writes:
“FreeRepublic is planning a demonstration of support on Friday 21 February from 1500 to 1800 hours in front of the Recruiting Station at 14th & L.”
Show your support. Berkeley was just one battle. These punks are everywhere.

I wish I could travel out there and help. these idiots just have no idea of the reality of the military. How it protects their right to be moronic. i am sure good ol’drive by rusty will hoop and hollar about what a great thing codepinkers are. But then again he has no sense of reality either.
I just can not believe that the local police allow the willful destruction of government property. I think the military should get a few of those shore patrol guys I remember in there. I do not think numbers would matter much to them. Bounce a few out on their heads.
And so are we, American Patriots. This election cycle is shaping up as the ‘68 election did. Time to bump heads again.
Don’t these people have jobs? I should would like to be there but I got to work at that time. Well, on second thought, Our Brave are worth a day off.

Well, I guess it is best to sit back & let them show everyone just who they really are… Main street remembers things like this when they vote.
Do they have jobs? Yes, they work for the Soros-type funded seditious movements all over this once great nation. Their job is to serve as useful idiots in order to bring about a socialist change in our nation. If we allow them to win, they may very well be the first ones lined up against the wall but it would be very little consolation for those of us in Middle America hoping for any return to a Constitutional Republic.
Looking at the candidates we have available, it seems like they are doing a great job too. Looking at the state of
educationindoctrination (Or would that be the education of the state?) it seems like they are doing a good job. Looking at the apathetic response to sedition and open treason, it looks like they are doing a good job.Methinks it is time for Conservatives to go to work doing something other than financing this bloated socialist bureaucracy.

I don’t see why we can’t fight back when the CodePink idiots attack a recruiting station. OK so you’re out numbered - but not necessarily out gunned. I think setting off a few well placed exploding pink dye packs would work pretty well - like the dye packs banks put into money bags that are being stolen. This would really make them code pink…or green…or whatever dye color is available. Let them know that when they cross the property threshhold that they are subject to non-lethal defensive devices. Better yet - what are the rules for setting off a smoke canister or tear gas? Move the bums out with technology if you don’t have the manpower or police presence. If its a riot they want - I say give it to them.
I hope these people keep up their ignorant antics all the way through to the election. It only strengthens my resolve.

They hit a recruitment office here in Milwaukee and basically got away with a slap on the wrist. I wish I could be there to stand up for our military.

These people don’t impress me. If they want to impress me with a protest, they should go to the middle of China Lake Naval Weapons Testing Center and protest there. A bonus would be that they wouldn’t have to worry about cops or counter-protesters, just the odd navy jet coming over to practice.

These people need to have counter protests on the weekends. We, that work for a living, versus Code Pink and stupid students that don’t, can’t make it down there on a Friday aftenoon. The weather isn’t promising either; snow, sleet, freezing rain.
Since when is destroying property legal? Why aren’t they being arrested? Protesting is one thing, destruction of other’s property is an entirely different matter. If they are allowed to continue this way without consequences, there will be more & it may get worse.
It’s actually quite simple. Arm the recruiters. Let them strap their most trusted sidearm to their bodies. If they feel threatened, the use of force is authorized.
These cry-baby whiners who are repulsed by the military, a job, self-discipline, and a bar of soap are a bunch of cowards. The antics they pull would never take place if they were by themselves. But when they get into a mob scene, they suddenly empower themselves with actions they wouldn’t dream of taking on alone.
“While police stood by and watched” is one of the worst parts of this report. I want the badges of those who did nothing. They should be removed from the force.

Why is there no consequence?
Working at a military installation I know the use of “deadly force” is authorized to defend the sensitive equipment and personnel of this installation. Too bad the Military Recruiter’s do not have an arming requirement to defend the Government property under their control. I am sure the FBI will be all over this federal crime (destruction of Government property) in 3, 2, 1 ……
The Military Recruiting Station in Boise is right next to a brand new Cabela’s. I would love to see some of these professional protesters hit our area. The recruiters and concerned citizens have a fully functional armory next door. Matter of fact why don’t the Code Pinko’s come on down tomorrow I will be taking the wife into Boise to run some errands and Cabela’s is on the list and would love to interface with the tolerant members of Code Pink and their allies.
The recruiters should be armed with tasers.
I’d think that one sticker on anything the recruiters own would be defacement or destruction of Government Property. That enough to arrest someone for. What are these police officers waiting for!
Also, I know a somewhat high level recruiter in the Navy and he told me they actually get MORE business when Code Pink is out there picketing. (but not when those violent, destructive types are around.)
Get on the city hall in these towns. Get on the newspapers. Hold the Police accountable with fairness.
Don’t tolerate the “Vietnamization” of our times. In fact, it wouldn’t hurt to dig the dirt on these code pink types. I liked the picture of the support for AQ on somebodies tent at CP.

Where are the police? This is criminal destruction of property. If this was happening at a McDonald’s or a shopping center, there’d be 50 cruisers and a paddy wagon on the scene immediately and the place would be cleared out in five minutes. It would have taken a significant amount of time to trash this office. How long does it take to respond to this kind of threat?
I hate these idiots and for all the trolls who inhabit this place, you’re I love the troops not the war is bullsh*t too. You can’t do both regardless of how it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Obviously the cops don’t care either what a sad commentary on our country.
Look folks, it’s called “nightstick liberty” and had to be used during WW2 and other times. Not much talked about in military circles but definately has occurred in places where the locals felt they could take advantage of the military presence in their cities. If there are any military leaders today with the strength of character and spine, they would declair a “nightstick liberty” and let those most directly affected deal with these situations. No place for bleeding heart sympathizers, as it will be brutal and effective. then the military can refocus it’s attention on it’s primary duty, protecting this country.
Being an old Army guy, I know that there was no “superior strength” that overcame any recruiters. They simply chose not to snap the necks of these chicken-necked activists.
I’m glad I’m in a state that truly supports the military, not just pays mouth service while turning their backs. A protest like this where I live would end with at least a few ambulances on scene, and not for the recruiters.
Oh, and most of the excellent recruiting is done outside the recruiting office, in high schools, on basketball courts, and in homes. Code Pink’s efforts to weaken the military are in vain.

Please don’t engage in the absurdity we’ve seen in Berkeley. In case you haven’t noticed the national backlash, you’re hurting the cause.
The Navy does not decide where they are deployed. That is decided by Bush and Co. Trying to stop recruitment does nothing but hurt the military’s ability to perform their missions safely by having enough personnel. The Administration will not suddenly stop the war because they have fewer troops. This kind of action just ensures that MORE of the troops already there will come home in body bags because they didn’t have anyone watching their back.
Protesting recruitment centers does nothing but undermine the assertion that we can oppose war and support the troops, because it actively removes the tangible support of troops.
The public notices, and they do not take kindly to it.
It sends the message that we blame the troops for their commanders’ actions.
Go stage the protest at the Wilshire Federal Building where it makes SENSE.
Yeah, bunch of over indulged coastal whiners. If they are not, let’s see them attempt their mob protest in small town Midwest USA. They will find out that we, the citizens here, don’t put up with that crap.
