Another addition to the Unhinged mugshot gallery

My Unhinged mugshot gallery just keeps growing! Hope your family dinner doesn’t look like this (via JWF):

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is investigating a politically motivated stabbing that left one in-law hospitalized and another in prison.

Authorities said brother-in-laws Jose Ortiz and Sean Shurelds were involved in a verbal altercation over Democratic presidential hopefuls Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton when the argument escalated into a stabbing inside their family home on Honey Locust Court in Collegeville.

Authorities said Ortiz, a registered Republican and Clinton supporter, allegedly stabbed Shurelds, an Obama supporter, in the stomach. Ortiz told police Shurelds began to choke him, so he grabbed a knife and stabbed him.

“Their verbal argument turned physical, one began choking the other, and then the victim of the choking took a kitchen knife and stabbed his brother-in-law in the stomach,” Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Veti Ferman said.

Remind me to send a copy of Unhinged to the clueless D.A.:

“It is a very serious charge, we see people fight over many things; some of them very frivolous, some of them serious, the fact of the matter is that this is the kind of argument that takes place in households across the region, across the state, across the country, but it never turns violent like this,” Ferman said.

Reality check on aisle 9.

Hmmm: “…a registered Republican and Clinton supporter.”

That’s not adding up, eh?

I don’t know a D.A. that would ever make such a conclusive statement on domestic violence that “it never turns violent like this.”

He does not need to be practicing law, let alone prosecuting. Geez!

How absurd can you get. Physical attacking each other over a couple of left wing ideologs. To say that the one is a republican just gives more credence to my statments that this country has moved to the left and does not know the differance between conservative and moderate. RINOs have taken on the persona of being conservative, example McCain.

Seems SHE has been a prosecutor since 1993 and….
In 2003 the Montgomery Bar Foundation honored Risa Ferman with the Louis D. Stefan law enforcement award for her role in the creation of the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project. As a prosecutor, Risa supervises over 12,000 adult and juvenile cases annually which include every type of crime from murder to vandalism, from domestic violence to narcotics and firearms violations. She is the supervising attorney for all wiretap investigations in Montgomery County, which are the sources of many of the high profile narcotics trafficking arrests and asset seizures in the county.
And a Republican! Oh, but that one quote….must be “clueless”.

For what it’s worth (and it may not be worth much, these databases aren’t updated too often) Lexis Nexis shows only one Jose Ortiz registered to vote in PA - Jose Ortiz Cruz, who is indeed registered Republican. Of course, he was also born in 1937 and registered in Reading, PA.

Like I said, though, the database isn’t updated often. The last date Lexis has for it is October 31, 2002, and even then you can’t be sure how up to date the state’s own records are. If this guy registered in the last 5 1/2 years, he wouldn’t be in there.

I’m curious to know how the reporter discovered this guy’s party affiliation…

LMAOROF I just read this to my family and we all had a good laugh. The story of my brother and I, he 15 and I 14 fighting over how large a piece of turkey roast I had gotten always comes up at thanksgiving, he said “think you got a big enough peice pig” I put the knife up to his throat and sait “Yes, I do” (He claims it was a fork) My mom said put the knife down and “If you boys want to fight go outside” We did and I told him “you have three shots to knock me out” so he took his three shots and I kicked him square in the family jewels and he dropped like a rock, my mom watching the whole thing said to me “If he can’t have my grandkids because of this I’m gonna be mad” and walked inside leaving him on the ground writhing in pain. I know it sounds messed up but we all laugh about it during the holidays.

The difference is these two were trying to kill each other over politics now thats really messed up.

Wondering what their immigration status is? Collegeville is home of Ursinus college and in midst of some farm country. Overall the county basically rots except for the Main Line upscale communities more south. Reading is not so far north and has plenty of Hispanic illegals. Perhaps they will clash with the skinheads from Allentown area.
I’d guess that Obambi would have more support than Hillary though. Hardly worth fighting over though with both socialist swine.

All you have to do is go back to the 2004 election. There was plenty of violence, most of which was directly at Republicans. (A friend of mine had his car keyed because he had a pro-Bush bumper sticker. He even saw the guy do it, but being an old man he just let it go. He then wrote a letter to the editor of the local newspaper discussing the incident and the presumptuous nature of liberals who think they are entitled to do whatever they want just because they feel like it.)

I wonder if there is something more to this than just a simple, political disagreement. I wonder if there was a long-standing feud between these two man. If this is what stands for intelligent, political dialogue, I think these men need a padded room and two straightjackets.

nope doesn’t add up, registered Republican supporting Hitlery that would be fighting over Obambi. Sounds, like one of those that voted in a Republican only primary to make sure that we had McCain versus a candidate that stood on conservative principles.

I think there have been a lot of ‘cross-overs’ this year. And, sadly we are reaping a not so good crop of candidates. The Republican party better take a look at how this primary has gone and make sure adjustments are made for 2012, and now! No more last minute registering.

Geesh.. Crazies, although political talk is getting pretty heated in my family, but not to the point of death!
