I doubt the police will go after the gangs in California with much gusto. We can’t do anything about illegals now can we? They have rights and lawyers defending them at our expense. The police won’t defend our military in Berkley. They just stand by and let the nuts run the show. I can not understand the people in California putting up with this.

I can attest to the change in the town… its gone steadily downhill for years. I can’t even go running or biking when I go home to visit my Mom, its just too dangerous… and yes, even though my Mom hates it… my .45 is usualy with me when I go there…

Sorry about the rant. I know they are just hard working gang bangers trying to help their families and deserve to be here more than nurses from India or an entrepreneur from Africa.
It ain’t just in Cali, people! It was like this in Northern VA before I moved to SoCal. If it’s not in your county, your town, or your state now, it will be soon. There are illegal aliens in places like Minnesota, Oklahoma, or western Pennsylvania, where there were none or hardly any 10-15 years ago. I’ll bet you 50 loonies that pretty soon our friends in Canada will find MS-13 and the Latin Kings in their backyard too if they’re not there already.
My early childhood was spent in Delano, CA. My grandparents, a life long residents died there in th 70’s. As my dad was in the military, I watched from afar as the town prospered and then decayed. A real shame, no one I know lives there anymore.
This heartbreaking. I see it spreading like a cancer throughout our country. I do not see any of our esteem candidats addressing this issue enough. Something has got to change and our laws enforced.
When Bambi becomes Pres he will just sit down with them & have a friendly little chat & all will be well. sarc/off Seriously why doesn’t someone send this information as well as all the other about the deaths by illegal drivers, to McCain, Bambi & Hillary (and Pres Bush too for that matter) & ask for their comments & what THEY plan to do about it.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch we have El Presidente Calderon asking Congress not to impose conditions on the $1.4 billion “anti-drug aid package” we are giving to Mexico. I believe his words were “Give it to me” and “I cannot accept any submission or subordination.” What are we giving them money for? It seems we are paying them for the day laborers, crime, identity theft, their drain on the US economy and healthcare system, and did I mention crime? Invasion.Indeed.
There you go, 30. You had to bring up the Merida Initiative and make my blood boil over us forking over money to Calderon and his gang to seal their Southern border, while ours stands wide open.
Now my blood is boiling again. I have no use for Bush, Clinton, Obama or McCain or any other politician in Washginton, when it comes to securing our borders and protecting our home front.

In fact, my county was in the top 25 nationwide for illegal drug traffic “commerce”.

and YES, it is mostly illegals. I read the crime report on a weekly basis, just in MY town….not to mention surrounding areas.

No kidding….. no matter who is elected in this presidential election, shamnesty won’t be far off…… the only hope we really have is to turn enough seats in Congress so that the bill won’t be able to make it to the presidents desk.
I lived in NC from 2001-2005 and it had already started before we moved. Signs of it starting in WNY where we live now. It’s a plague and the only solution is to hold our elected officials’ feet to the fire and demand that they stand by their holy oaths to enforce the laws and uphold the Constitution.
The worst thing about all this is the people who say that we should allow this invasion of non-Americans would also be appalled at an American invasion of Mexico.
It seems as though the only thing politically correct in this country is anything that will destroy the country. There are none so blind as those who refuse to see.
Ahhh, but don’t you know that we here in Southern California are told endlessly that these are “remote” cases (literal figments of our imaginations) and that we are nothing but hateful, racist, nativist, xenophobes?
And then this delightful news from numbersusa this morning regarding the SAVE Act:
“…Senior Democrats, worried that they may not be able to keep the bill tied up in committee, have come up with a Plan B — muddling the issue by attaching a killer amendment to the Shuler bill, which would come in the form of an amendment proposed by Rep. Joe Baca, California Democrat and chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
The Baca Amendment would give illegal aliens who pass a background check a “five-year temporary worker permit” that expires on Dec. 31, 2012. It would also provide employers who hired illegal aliens “safe harbor” (apparently some measure of immunity from prosecution) for past hiring of illegal aliens. If Mr. Shuler gets enough signatures to force his bill to the floor to be debated, Democrats hope to neuter it by attaching the Baca Amendment. If Mr. Baca’s proposal were to become law, open-borders advocates could come back later and pass legislation putting these illegals on a path to citizenship. While not endorsing the Baca Amendment, a senior official with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce told Congressional Quarterly that he believed there was “some kind of deal in the works.”
Barry F, I have a hard time forgetting about it. The unmitigated gall of these people astounds me. We can fork over billions of dollars to Mexico for their border security meanwhile we supposedly have a lousy 70 miles of fence built and monkey-wrench after monkey wrench has been offered up to thwart all efforts to continue building this fence. So, I share your ire.

Kansas City is dealing with more and more gang violence, the Latin gangs are moving in and the black gangs are increasing the violence to hold there territory. Gangs have been a problem here since 1988 and before that the Mafia. I live about 3 blocks from what is called in the KC area as Little Italy, it is a whole series of houses where the Civellas and their underlings live and I say live because the Mafia still exists under the FBIs and local Police radar here, they still have their network and money. I’ve seen the Civella boy’s running around town with their body guards, one owns a whole in the wall bar and the other a restaurant that are fronts for drug trafficing and no telling what else, some of the black gangs tryed moving into this area and it turned into a blood bath for them, the Italian Mafia is silent but deadly in this area and I fear that if the Latino gangs try to move in their will be another. The Civellas do not take kindly to someone trying to take or do business in their turf. I think the Mafia is more civilized, you don’t mess with them they don’t mess with you although I don’t think any of them should exist.
Each morning my wife and I turn on the morning news and play “Guess that surname.” Anyone else want to play along?
If our elected officials refuse to do anything about our borders, I guess it leaves me with only 1 choice: learn Spanish. The new official language endorsed by Congress, the President, and state/county officials.
It’s mostly Democrats who are pushing hard for shamnesty, and, unfortunately, some Republicans. Yet the Democrats I know are all against amnesty, and for border security. The disconnect they have between what they want and their party is greater than the Republicans….yet they keep trying new ways for shamnesty, over and over.
Where is the DHS? Our nation is overrun with street gangs. California has over 720 known major gangs totaling over 40,000+ members. MS-13 alone has over 50,000 members spread across 37 states & 6 countries. Americans are 10 times more likely to be murdered by a gangbanger than an al queda terrorist.
Before our congress concerns itself with what watt light bulb I use, how about addressing something of urgent importance like the spread of street gangs.

I think that the time is right for a gang of our own. The Pi$$ed Off Voters, or POV-1776. Perhaps if POV did some drive-bys on corrupt politicians they would get the message that they work for us. We spend hundreds of billions of dollars to fight foreign terrorists, lets put some more to combat domestic terrorists, which is exactly what these street gangs are.
The Mexican gangs are infiltrating Idaho too. It is just a matter of time before the good citizens here have to step in because the local authorities will not. The only thing many of us see in agricultural communities being imported by illegal invaders is a significant rise in drunk driving, crime, drug trafficking, gang violence, and disease. Our government officials do not care about our safety and security brining this issue to a point where the push back by the average citizen will be very ugly. Most folks here are arming up wanting to protect themselves and their families along with serious worries of what the coming election cycle may do to our second amendment rights.

Yeah, law enforcement is often nuetered by the politicians who may be left-leaning softie solcialists, fearful of retribution by the latino gangs, backlash from the ACLU, or are being paid off by gangs (or their enablers) to look the other way.
Many small town law enforcers are ill-equiped to take on the evergrowing sophistation, brutality and firepower of these gangs.
What needs to happen is state and federal intervention to assist the locals to eradicate these vermin with extreme prejudice. And tell the ACLU to stuff it.

I’m almost encouraged by the actions of some states and locals, AZ and OK for example. Perhaps we have a better chance changing things closer to home than we do in DC.

Hannity had a great piece on this last night on Fox News. He called it “The Price We Pay”. I have to tell ya after seeing that show last night I would definitely be moving if I lived in a boarder state.
We even had a local commissioner’s home broken into three time by illegals.

We live in Colorado - not a border state. We just received our insurance bills for our motorcycles for the coming year. They increased by over $125 per bike. All but about $15 of that was for uninsured motorist. Guess who the majority of uninsured motorists are around here?
Another example of the rising costs of illegal immigration. (But they’re just driving the unisured vehicles that Americans won’t drive…)

Seems to me like this plague is everywhere, even the small towns. I can’t go anywhere without seeing their stupid tags all over the walls. And whats more pathetic is seeing these kids, some younger than 10 I’d say, wearing shirts or caps with Sureno on them, people looking the other way, saying its their culture.
No where in the article is it noted that this gang proliferation is due to illegals.
The only immigration mentioned in the article is that of the gangs moving to the small towns.
Not that illegals can’t be a part of the problem, but the supposition could be viewed by apologists as an attack with no foundation.

Eastern Washington is gang infested as well. MOst of our towns are tagged up and neighborhoods have gone downhill. Some places its not safe to bike or hike even. Yet our liberal demo leaders who want shamnesty never have to face the real world like shopping in tagged out stores that the labeling is in Spanish. Sometimes they put in English as well. Just seems we have lost our culture in one lousy generation and my prediction is that English won’t be needed except maybe in the Liberal homes and Canada.
