Hey Tennesee Dave I as well grew up in the UMC and I never ever heard the true gospel there and there was never an alter call. It was only later in years at college did I hear the true Gospel of Christ. I am still a member of that denomination but I don't support it and they even have a Planned Parenthood chapter that meets in the basement of the church. The pastor as does the church think all good people go to heaven and even the muslims too. They are so lost and misguided. I have wondered if you have had similar experiences. This is out in Eastern Washnington.

In all fairness Michelle you should include the link to Barack Obama being interviewed by the same CBN reporter back in November 2007, link here.

“How can you call yourself a Christian…a follower of Christ…and still think that partial birth abortion should be legal??”
You are absolutely right….. BUT, she is a member of the United Methodist Chuch. I challenge you to go to their web site and read their doctrines - They all read like Hillary Clinton talking points.

From the UMC website:

Our belief in the sanctity of unborn human life makes us reluctant to approve abortion. But we are equally bound to respect the sacredness of the life and well-being of the mother, for whom devastating damage may result from an unacceptable pregnancy. In continuity with past Christian teaching, we recognize tragic conflicts of life with life that may justify abortion, and in such cases we support the legal option of abortion under proper medical procedures. We cannot affirm abortion as an acceptable means of birth control, and we unconditionally reject it as a means of gender selection.
We oppose the use of late-term abortion known as dilation and extraction (partial-birth abortion) and call for the end of this practice except when the physical life of the mother is in danger and no other medical procedure is available, or in the case of severe fetal anomalies incompatible with life.

I grew up in the UMC and the majority of my family still attends. I can say that alot of the policies and beliefs expounded on the UMC website do not reflect what I was taught. And I would agree that the council that makes up the policies is out of touch with it's members, at least in small southern towns and country churches. The big city yokels may have gone to the liberal side, but the small churches are much more on the conservative side.
I guess we need to coin a new acronym for Hillary at least in my mind:
MINO-Methodist In Name Only.

Clinton: You know, I have to believe I am because time and time again, people - who have been criticizing me in very harsh and personal terms - once they have gotten to know me, have apologized to me and have even asked for my forgiveness.

And then they brought a leper to me and asked me to heal him. You know, people come up to me all the time and ask me to cast out demons...blah, blah, blah.

Her problems is that the more people see her, the more they understand her and dislike her.

This is absolutely true. My better half began this election cycle arguing that Hillary would be a decent choice for CIC...but not anymore.

"...once they have gotten to know me, have apologized to me and have even asked for my forgiveness."

So now it is we, the American people, who have transgressed against her by basing our judgments of her character and fitness for office on her own words and deeds - what hubris! HRC, forgiver of sins.

I am not an overly religious man. Still, I have come to believe that Bill and Hillary Clinton are both, in their own right, evil in the biblical sense. I do not believe that either have ever done a single act of kindness or nurturing for any purpose other than personal gain and I believe they have left a trail of personal destruction and hurt wherever they have traveled. I may be wrong, but I have yet to see anything to contradict that opinion.

Brody: Are you misunderstood? And if you are, why?

Clinton: You know, I have to believe I am because time and time again, people - who have been criticizing me in very harsh and personal terms - once they have gotten to know me, have apologized to me and have even asked for my forgiveness.

*BLECH*

One of the many faces of Hillary. Ironically, I pulled out Dick Morris' book on HRC, Rewriting History, last night and started reading it again.

Her problems stem not from being misunderstood. Her problems is that the more people see her, the more they understand her and dislike her. And that is among her fellow Democrats, who buy into her harsh leftist rhetoric.

If she's been fighting the 'fight' for 35 years and is still misunderstood, what does that say about her communication skills? Something the leader of our nation needs without a doubt.
