“While we were at the protest in Berkeley from 12 to 4 PM a white volvo drove by and a man spat upon code pink. They chased him down the street and got into a verbal altercation. The police were NO WHERE in sight. That’s not the best part, ready for this? Medea Benjamin yelled and I quote “Marines!” she actually yelled for our help because this man had stepped out of his car. Lol. I even asked her if she was yelling Police and she told me “I said Marines” then put her arm around my friend Allen (the Marine vet) Ironic? Ok back to the emails!! “

The marines have no police authority in Berkeley. What they did was an act of compassion for someone who obviously has no compassion for them. It is wonderful to have great guys like this - and it is a real shame that the Code Pinkos don’t have a clue.
California, once a beautiful state, is simply disintegrating in the face of illegal aliens, homosexual advocates, and radical left wing nuts.

Sorry, Missy Moonbat, but as Boomer quite rightly pointed out, the Marines are not “Peace Officers” as defined by the California Criminal Code, and cannot enforce civilian laws.
This story could only improve if the Marines spit on her too.

It would be not a violation of federal law. Since they would act on their own, as “private citizens” preventing “a crime”, even in uniform, they would be okay. If someone yells for “help”, anyone can respond to help out…in uniform or not. That’s not acting like a “police officer”. But, I react to this story with “raised eyebrows”. I have to agree with Rusty…until I see some evidence that confirms it.

“Truth is stranger than fiction” - I believe there’s something to this story because, just like the atheist who turns to pray as a last resort in a time of natural disaster or personal tragedy, it seems only logical that Cold Pink would turn to the Marines, their last refuge, at a time of perceived peril.
