Letter from the McCain campaign

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 3, 2008 02:57 PM

I can’t get them to respond for requests for an interview with the candidate, but the John McCain campaign does keep sending me e-mails like this one asking for money. Spot the missing issue in the bullet-pointed list of policy positions where the differences have never “been more stark than today.”

Hint: It reminds with “Schmimmigration:”

subject Second Super Tuesday

Dear Supporter,

The Second Super Tuesday arrives tomorrow.

Second Super Tuesday Tomorrow, voters go to the polls in Ohio, Texas, Vermont and Rhode Island to vote on their choice for our party’s nominee. John McCain has been on the road campaigning almost non-stop. We need just 101 more delegates from these states to become the nominee of the GOP. And we can do that tomorrow with your help!

With wins in these states, John McCain will go “over the top” and secure enough delegates to win the Republican nomination for President of the United States.

No matter who the Democrats nominate as their candidate, this will be a campaign about issues. Never have the differences on the issues been more stark than today:

* Lower taxes vs tax increases
* Success in Iraq vs surrender in Iraq
* Strict constructionist judges vs judges who legislate from the bench
* Health care for American families vs government-run health care
* Fiscal discipline vs continued pork, wasteful government spending and earmarks

The future will look very different if we do not nominate and elect John McCain.

Tomorrow, with your help, he will secure the nomination. Won’t you please support the campaign with an immediate contribution of $101, $200 or even $1000?

Thank you in advance for your unflagging help and support.

Rick Davis
Campaign Manager

P.S. – Just 101 delegates are needed on Super Tuesday to secure the nomination of John McCain to be President of the United States. We couldn’t have gotten this far without your help – we need your contribution now to go all the way.

WOW. Never pegged you as a McCain supporter.

    /sacr off (duh)

McCain will remove “continued pork, wasteful government spending and earmarks”? Sure. Like Ron Paul will fix the tax code. Both will happen at the same time I send in $1000 – never.

A Frenchman, an Englishman, and a New Yorker were captured by cannibals. The chief comes to them and says, “The bad news is that now that we’ve caught you, we’re going to kill you. We will put you in a pot, cook you and then use your skins to build a canoe. The good news is that you get to choose how you die.”

The Frenchman says, “I take ze sword.”

The chief gives him a sword. He says, “Vive la France!” and runs himself through.

The Englishman says, “A pistol for me, please.”

The chief gives him a pistol. He points it at his head, says, “God save the Queen!” and blows his brains out.

The New Yorker says, “Gimme a fork.”

The chief is puzzled, but he shrugs and gives him a fork. The New Yorker takes the fork and starts jabbing himself all over–-his stomach, his sides, his chest–everywhere. There’s blood gushing out all over; it’s horrible.

The chief is appalled and asks, “My God, what are you doing?”

The New Yorker says, “So much for your canoe, a**hole!”

Just sort of reminds me of our situation.
