graysonret, we just came up to the area at the first of the year and I enjoyed listening to Chris in the mornings. I thought I heard Gopher (sorry, he’ll always be Gopher) say he had been on the station 35 years. I haven’t really listened to what’s now in that time slot so can’t comment on the new person. I can say this, if you have a radio with an antenna and point it towards Fredricksburg, you can pick up Glenn Beck live, well at least I can in PWC.

Ms. Morgan really did have a good run. I never had the pleasure of listening to her on the radio but I did see her a time or town on Fox News. She’s a really great analyst and I appreciate her heartfelt advocacy for military men and women.

What lead to her losing her radio show? Can she be picked up somewhere else (with her production staff)? Was it really “cost-cutting measures” or just an excuse? Why let her show go? Do we know who else paid the “price” for these “cost-cutting measures?”

Good luck to Ms. Morgan. I’m sure your radio audience will miss you. Don’t give up on radio even though this one network decided to give up on you.

mbruce#8.My thoughts exactly.He made his millions,so now he can ruin a profitable enterprise to promaote his anti-American agenda.I may be off-base with that (since I’m not familiar with the man),but it certainly appears suspicious that he would be eliminating the people who are the biggest draws to his network.Either that ,or he just doesn’t know the business.

It is amazing someone that lets a very popular talk radio personality go and continues to run a very lucrative business into the ground is reward with a $17 million compensation package. Something is very broken in Corporate America. What every happen to firing people like Farid Suleman.

I used to listen to KSFO when stationed at Travis AFB in the 1990s. I’m sure Melanie Morgan will land her feet too. It is sad to see a voice of conservatism in the liberal wilderness of the Bay Area being silenced.

I think it's a stretch to say this is all just bad decision making. Here you've got a proven left-leaning political contributor (the fact he gave money to McCain just further supports that), who is cutting all the talented conservative hosts and replacing them with people like IMUS (blecchhh!) and Bud Ciancy (Former Democrat party Mayor and convicted Felon). I won't make any guesses about Suleman's religious preference or whether or not it has any impact on his decisions. If you look up Farid Suleman and/or Citadel Broadcasting on Wikipedia, you can learn alot about how he's destroying talk radio across the nation. Be warned, some irate shareholder or employee edited some of the Citadel Broadcasting terminology on Wikipedia.

Citadel fired another great talk show host here in the D.C. area Friday. Chris Core of WMAL radio, a well-known conservative station. He had been on for many years. They didn’t let him say “goodbye”, but instead notified him after his show. He will be sorely missed. They still have Grandy and Andy in the early a.m. You may remember Fred Grandy from “Love Boat” (Gopher) and a 3 time “recovering congressman”.
