Obama: “I remember May Day”

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 3, 2008 01:44 PM

Barack Obama is aggressively courting the Hispanic vote in Texas–and reminding Latino voters that he stood “shoulder-to-shoulder” with pro-illegal immigration activists during the massive shamnesty rallies of 2006:

“Whenever I hear folks talk about the “brown-black” divide, I remember my days as a community organizer, when I brought African-Americans and Hispanics together to fight a rising drop-out rate in our schools.”

“I remember my days as a civil rights lawyer, when I worked with my Hispanic brothers and sisters to protect our voting rights. And I remember May Day 2006, when I marched shoulder-to-shoulder with the Hispanic community to stand up for comprehensive immigration reform.”

I remember, too. Do you? Flashback- The pictures you didn’t see, May 2, 2006:

Protest Warrior Chicago exposed ugly, American flag-trashing advocates…

And Slapstick Politics in Denver saw a pro-illegal immigration sign-waver who makes the open-borders agenda crystal clear:

Nah. That is just the spin of their words, Chard. The Democrats, at least those in office, are highly in favor of bringing Shamnesty to fruition. They see it as a huge boost to their constituency.

But, I think most average Americans are opposed to it.

    Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.
I don’t think it’s cruel or unrealistic to deport 10 or 12 million people who don’t have the right to be in this country. I think it’s cruel to to tell those people who truly deserve our tax dollars that there is no money there for them becuase 12 million illegal immigrants have used it up. I think it’s cruel to tell the mother of the 2 boys who died in that school bus accident that her boy’s would still be alive if that woman in the van would’ve been deported in accordance with the law, since she had no right to be here in the first place. I think it’s cruel to tell someone in the emergency room with their child that they have to wait 4 or 5 hours to be seen because the system is so backed up with illegals that it can barely function (as well as let the LEGAL American know that they’re tax dollars are paying for it one way or another.)
Not only that, but history has shown that when you start deporting illegals, many will leave of thier own accord. see ‘operation wetback’

You keep making the same lame talking points that Obama, Hillary, and the rest of the clueless are making.
It is possible to deport millions of people. In fact, the cost would be well below what those same illegals are costing this country every year.

I agree with MrVIBEMAN that we can duplicate the success of President Eisenhower’s administration Operation Wetback. As soon as employers are punished and enforcement measures get the word out most illegal invaders will deport themselves and those that don’t we can help across the border. Once they rats flee we can stop any future incursions by sealing the border with a building triple layer fence with the liberal use of razor wire. After all good fences make good neighbors.

By the way historically the Spanish stole the land from the Native Americans except for the plains tribes that routinely kicked their butts. The warrior classes of the Shoshone, Comanche, Ute, and other tribes that kept most of Western America off limits to settlement until being overwhelmed by the Americans in the 19th Century. They never truly controlled most of their Aztlan paradise they say Mexico is entitled to in the first place, which they surrendered under the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo after their defeat in the 1846-1848 Mexican-American War.

    Result

Operation Wetback deported approximately 80,000 Mexican nationals in the space of almost a year, although local INS officials claimed that an additional 500,000-700,000 had fled to Mexico before the campaign began. The INS estimates rested on the claim that most undocumented people, fearing apprehension by the government, had voluntarily repatriated themselves before and during.

This sounds re-doable! For every deportation, there were 7-9 self-repatriations.

I have a small problem with some of this. First, I agree…punish the employers of illegals. But, there will be more employers punished, and more and more, since the flow of illegals will not be stopped. Also, I think we should all start referring to our country as The United States of America. That way, they cannot just claim “America” is just a continent. With the employers being punished, when do the illegals take responsibility for sneaking in anyway? Again, the Americans will be punished, not the lawbreakers. Everyone claims they come here for work, blah blah blah. No, they are coming to take over. BUILD THE DAMN FENCE!!!

The American taxpayer needs to go on strike! We should all quit our jobs and collect unemployment checks for 6 months. In most states they pay 70%-80% of your income. So we must tighten our belts, but it wouldn’t be the first time that Americans had to endure hardship in troubled times. Most of our parents or grand parents endured the depression and world war. The alternative is an armed uprising, so a strike would be a better first step.
Of course this will never happen because so many Americans don’t even bother to vote, let alone take a stand.

Pro-illegals always talk about securing the border, since this is impossible. Why would a pro-illegal penalize employers? An obvious contradiction. The Democratic voter breeding program, or anchor baby program, is the best thing to ever happen to Democrats and anti-white racists.

It’s easy enough to get rid of the 30 million illegal aliens if the laws were enforced. The problem is corruption in Washington, not logistics. Illegal aliens are criminals just like other criminals, and so are corrupt officials like Obama and McCain for that matter who encourage illegal infiltration and human trafficking.

Without enforcement illegal infiltration is just getting started and will pick up momentum. Reagan’s amnesty brought in 30 million more illegal aliens, and another amnesty would probably mean the end of our nation and the beginning of just another Latin country like Mexico or Cuba.

I DO remember that day! I was sent a notice from our HR officers, declaring that any Latino who missed work that day got a free pass – no disciplinary action, no need to take vacation, no personal day, no sick day, no explanation.

Anyone who was black, Asian, white, etc., who missed that day of work had to take a sick day, vacation day, or personal day, or face disciplinary action.

I rejected that foolishness, and simply asked that if anyone wanted to be part of the festivities, he/she simply had to follow normal procedures for missed time. I am paying for that decision to this day, having been branded as a “loose cannon” by the wonderful folks in our HR community.

Amazingly, since I applied normal procedures and treated everyone like adults, there were exactly zero problems.

Adherence to the rules for everyone saved a lot of trouble. Perhaps this is a lesson lost on our leadership, and we need to retraing them.

*Having a wife who hasn’t loved her country until her husband ran for President does not make for a suitable first lady

*Promoting war opposition doesn’t mean you will make a good Commander-in Chief
