Wesley Clark, alumnus of West Point, ain't no Eisenhower. He has <strong>ZERO</strong> standing with his former classmates, commanding officers, troops and the odd <strike>Boy</strike> er Girl Scout. Other than being relieved early from his CINCEUR post (never a career enhancer) GEN Clark was HRC's stalking horse in the last election cycle. Those are his positives. Can anyone add to the list of negatives?

As for Gloria Steinem, if she and Barbra Streisand were together in one room, the IQ level may reach room temperature.

<blockquote>Other than Austin, she said, “there is no community in the whole world that understands how to include everybody, how to be serious and have a good time at the same time, how to be fan-fucking-tastic” quite so well.</blockquote>

bullcrap.

I grew up in Austin. My parents live just outside of Austin and work in Austin. I can assure you that Austin is second only to Berkley in dysfunction. The "inclusiveness" has all but destroyed what was once an awesome place to live.

Texas Monthly said it best in a piece on who the movers and shakers were in all the cities of Texas, they referred to Austin as similar to Beirut (this was in the early 90s I believe). The article listed phone numbers of the orgs or people to call to get things done. In Austin they gave you the number of Southwest Airlines. Their suggestions, book a flight out of town. No one was in charge or able to get anything done in Austin. Amen!

They are paying the price for the short-sighted liberalism that gripped Austin for much of the 70s 80s and 90s.

All you have to do is take a look at Aqua-fest and see how things have changed. In the 70s and 80s the leaders of Austin ran the show. Business, Political, School leaders, and many of the powerful spent untold time and effort without pay to put on a great festival. They all put politics aside to make it work. They finally tired of the nonsense from loons on the left and gave up. Most have moved out of Austin, and have taken much of their business with them. Today, you are lucky to get someone you can call a leader to help with Aqua-fest. They still don't get it.

<blockquote>McCain was, in fact, a prisoner of war for around five-and-a-half years, during which time he was tortured repeatedly. Referring to his time in captivity, Steinem said with bewilderment, “I mean, hello? This is supposed to be a qualification to be president? I don’t think so.”

Steinem’s broader argument was that the media and the political world are too admiring of militarism in all its guises.</blockquote>

I think she's just upset because she knows she wouldn't have gotten a date on Friday night, even in the Hanoi Hilton.

Socialist democrats are just ignorant. Gloria "I hate men" Steinem's rant that because Hill has no military experience she is then more experienced to lead the military is just crap.

The continued whining that we also need to elect a black person because of our history of slavery is also crap. I would like to know the statue of limitations on how long slavery can be used as a weapon against the rest of America? Will my great grandchildren have to pay for slavery under the political correctness police?

Behar seemed to be the only one way out in left field, this time. Although the rest didn't think Steinem was as repugnant as Elizabeth saw her, they didn't rush to Steinems defense (a.k.a. Behar's corner) this time around.
