In Hillary’s own words: “Pathetic” and “horrible”
Hillary Clinton made a last-ditch appearance on The Daily Show. Awkward, stilted, halting, hoarse. She joked–was it a joke?–that it was “pathetic” to be spending time on a comedy channel on the eve of Super Tuesday II. Afterward, she reportedly joked–was it a joke?–that the segment was “horrible.”
I almost–almost–feel sorry for her.
Quick, someone pinch me.
Okay, I’ve recovered.
Hillary Clinton gamely appeared on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show With Jon Stewart Monday, the eve of crucial primary duels with Barack Obama in Ohio and Texas.
“Tomorrow is perhaps one of the most important days of your life, and you’ve chosen to spend the night before talking to me,” Stewart told Clinton, who was beamed in by satellite from Austin. “As a host, I’m delighted; as a citizen, I’m frightened. Senator, your response?”
“It is pretty pathetic,” she said…
…Though good-natured on Stewart’s show, she was asked off-air how she felt her appearance went. “It was horrible,” she said jokingly.
Watch and cringe:
Cackle count: A dismal 1.5.

The Budding Leninist is “losing” to a known communist. Imagine that?
Yah I just watched it earlier. Half listening to Comedy Central and half discussing killing whales in another thread.
Hillary ALWAYS make me cringe anyways. Jon Stewart often makes me cringe. Naturally, I was cringing quite a bit.
Anymore whale meat left?
OK, after Tina Fey’s Commentary on SNL, it was pretty obvious who they support.
Then to have her make unfunny appearance on SNL last weekend.
And the NIGHT BEFORE the Texas Primary, she is on the Daily Show.
These might as well have been “Free Ads” for Shilary.
Excellent summary: “Pathetic and horrible”.
Utter disgust is what I feel when I watch these to morons banter back and forth.
I do not know … I think it looks like more “fake but accurate” news as normal.
Is it true? Are a lot of people actually claiming to get their news from this program?
she should have gone on Colbert.
someone needs to tell Hillary that she’s neither hip nor cool, and her attempts to look it are “pathetic” and “horrible.”
it’s certainly good to see, however, that she has Bill back in his cage.
If Hillary really wants to score points period. She should demand that Barrak Hussien Obama meet her in a debate on Fox news. There she would not have to worry about being the only one being asked good solid questions. Then Fox could nail Obama for the liar he is.
Fox could expose Obama’s misrepresentation of his war vote, his Canada stance, and hopefully. Some one could explain where Barak is getting all of his money.
With or without watching the video, I would say that “grating” is the closest adjective I can think of.
Oh, no question, pathetic and horrible.
Sure it’s pathetic and horrible, but isn’t that par for the Hildabeast?
I’m sure she hopes this is what happens on Super Tuesday II.
I’ve also caught myself feeling almost sorry for her. Usually, public opinion graduates by intensity, in parallel with eventual voting intention. “Gosh, poor Hillary” twinges in this group get stronger as you move left, bet on it. Right now, she will have some genuine sympathy and admiration going with Democrats. Holy cow.
I think Jane Fonda described Hillary best…
As much as I can’t stand Bill Clinton, at least in his Presidential campaign he knew how to appeal to the masses. He was always ‘charming’ during his interviews. (not so much anymore) But as far as Hillary goes, when it comes to TV interviews, she’s no Bill…
You know, until right before the end, I thought her crowd scene in back was faked because nobody was moving. Like they were totally immobile. Hillary has that affect on people, doesn’t she?
.
EMBARRASSING!
.
Yes, it was a joke. Also, your President is dumb as a board.

You misspelled broad.
When is this awful woman going away?
Ohio and Texas: Please please make this woman go away!!!
I also hope that Texas and Ohio will take this vile woman out of the race today.
Me three….
Jon Stewart is uh…. stupid. He is just another liberal uh…. Hollywood socialist. His deadpan pauses during every sentence is uh… pretty old and weak at this point. His hatred for Bush is another example of extremist socialist democrats on TV with uh…. no idea what is wrong with this country and no desire to admit what is right with this country.
Amen!
Those of you that feel sorry for her should not be ashamed. It is a sign of true compassion that you don’t want to see a creature suffer. Compare that to the fake compassion sold by her party.
Hillary is looking more and more like “Ant Bee” every day.
Since I don’t watch the show ,and can’t stand the Beast,I repectfully pass on the “watch and cringe”,thank you.
HRC - lowering the standard of a presidential nominee…one crass skit at a time.
Wow, MM, you really are special, to have your own president!
Tell us, in selecting your president, do you hold caucuses or primaries?
Do you allow your family to participate in the voting, or is it a faux democratic/dictatorial decision like Putin just did in Russia?
Hmm. An opinion shared only by those who have never met him and have a political axe to grind.
Just another vapid, witless lgm driveby! Sort of like what deposit a bird will leave while flying by….
Or Rusty.
If Jon Stewart hadn’t networked himself through the MTV/Comedy Central route, is there any doubt he would’ve been another host on AirAmerica like his Janeane Garafalo acting buddy?
His political importance matches his acting ability = 99% public relations.
Jon Stewart isn’t funny, nor is he intelligent–this was a waste of time for everyone. Hitlery looked tired and irritated, as always.
lgm (#17)- hey troll, go over to dailyKos to vent your liberal anger.

You think crude insults against women are funny. First the “Jane Fonda” now this.

Crude insult under who’s definition? I’ve heard and used the word “broad” as a term of endearment many a time.
Oh, yeah, she cares…no President in history has cared as much for the American people, as would she…of course, by “American People” she means all the people on planet Earth.
Lgm:
This discussion is about Hilly and not about Pres. Bush. Thanks for the failed semantic exercise.
You think that hiding behind women to make your point is meaningful and necessary. Well, this woman really does not agree. Please, either remove your lips from Jane Fonda’s fanny or other communist feminists or get better glasses since the ones in your profile don’t seem to suit you anymore.
Have you renounced your Troll Liberation Front membership yet?
Why? I sort of agree with Rush. As long as she is in the race her and Obama can keep beating up on each other. The world will see how vile she is and how much of an empty suit he is.
Let’s get ready to rumble!!
