MSM correction of the day
Via Ace, who writes: “Kudos, I guess, for a paper printing such a long, embarrassing, and thorough trashing of a blatantly erroneous and agenda-driven concoction by one of its own reporters.”

Rule #1: Assume racism.
Rule#2: Alter the facts to imply racism.
Rule #3: If any right-wing crypto-Nazi fascist BusHitler supporters catch you doing Rule #2, huffily declare that you’re merely expressing a deeper truthiness and how DARE they question your patriotism??!!!
Wow, seems they may have hired a racist reporter. Talk about twisting facts to fit the agenda! I wonder what journalism school that reporter graduated from?
Tomorrow we’ll be reading that the reporter, Joe Schoenmann, was promoted to editor.
Rule #3 repeat 1 and 2 as necessary until everyone believes it….
Rule#4: If challenged claim to be a victim.
Wait till tomorrow, it’s coming.
Lame Stream Media…dolts.
Replace rules 1, 2, 3 and 4 with the broad generic term creative license and cry “censorship” if your work is called into question.
Journalism ain’t what it used to be or is it??
Thankfully we have places like this to get the real stories.
I can’t remember the last time I read a newspaper.
I suspect it has always been this way, 30. There are just more of us getting out eyes opened by the new media so that we see what is going on.
And, sensationalism seems to sell in the media market. The bigger and more awe inspiring, the more people want to hear about it, even if it is fabricated. Funny thing is, the truth that gets glossed over is more mind blowing to me than what the MSM comes up with most of the time.
Yeah, I posed the question knowing what the answer would be.
Say what you want about Fox News they have right as far “we report and you decide” is concerned. It works. People can actually think for themselves. Shocker, I know.
Joe, this is Phil Bennett from the Washington Post. Read your piece on the Summerlin shooting in the Sun and had a thought. If you’d consider changing your name to Yusuf Sala’amiman, we might have a gig for you here at the Post. Gimme a jingle if you’ve got a tingle.
ROTFLMAO
I figured it was rhetorical, 30.
But, I have a habit of injecting my two cents anyhow.
Despite all appearances to the contrary, racism is at the heart of good news.
I would question the sanity of a reporter who lumped gang related activity with a traffic stop and called them all “incidents.” Just another case of using statistics incorrectly to prove a lie.
News Flash ….. Just in. Three men were arrested for armed robbery of a third man.
Two of the men armed with hand held semi automatic pistols, 9mm, were let go when their defense attorneys leveled charges of racism towards their black and hispanic clients. The third man is being charged with hate crimes as well as armed robbery, along with domestic terrorism.
The victem a Ali Baba Shiek, claimed that the third man was white and leveled disparaging remarks towards mohaumd and should be immediately beheaded.
NEWS STORIES IN THE NEAR FUTURE?
Before anyone goes nuts the above story is FICTIONAL. Only the Black man and Hispanic were oppressed into a life of crime by the white man.
And under which rock was this retraction buried? IMHO any retraction should be printed on the same page and in just as visible a manner as the original article it relates to was on.
Here’s the website:

Hmmm. My brother-in-law lives near that area. I’ll have to see what he has to say about that story. Thanks for posting that, Michelle.
“The PREMISE of the story.” “to support the THESIS”. No pre-formed conceptions of how this story was going, nope, just pure hard-headed journalism here. Or maybe a term paper.
Corrections: Ok, the other day we ran a gang story and what actually happened was a basketball game at a Catholic grade school near Sunderlin. The 5th grade girls won in overtime. Hot dogs, chips, and pickle spears were available at the concession table through halftime. Sorry for any confusion.
I see another “reporter” is bucking for a editor job with the NYT. He’s doing pretty good, so far. I wouldn’t be surprised if he already is in negotiation with them…or the Washington Post.
If anyone’s interested, here is the reporting from the real LV paper:
PALO VERDE HIGH SCHOOL: Drive-by kills freshman
PALO VERDE SHOOTING: Arrest made in fatal drive-by
SOME RECENT STUDENT-INVOLVED SHOOTINGS AT OR NEAR CLARK COUNTY SCHOOLS
PALO VERDE SHOOTING: ‘I never thought this could happen here’
PALO VERDE HIGH SHOOTING: Family defends slaying suspect
FATAL DRIVE-BY SHOOTING: Second arrest made
Police say teen admits shooting
Details of shooting disputed
Report details teens part in drive-by
Teenagers appear at hearing
So a group of white teenagers from affluent families getting together, giving themselves a name and committing a series of crimes is “not a gang”?
Just goes to show that, until you have all the facts you shouldn’t jump to conclusions. /sarc
If it looks like a duck etc. etc. etc.
