Col. Day is the most decorated service member alive. My brother-in-law knows him personally. Col. Day is campaigning for McCain. They were cellmates in Hanoi for months.

Re McCain’s War Record…
Always recommend folks do their own research, even I – perfect as I am, have made some major bloopers – but many sites don’t welcome links, and I forget which do and don’t, so I don’t post as many as I used to.

I found articles by Kerry praising McCain, and by the daughter of the Keating from Keating Five trying to exonerate him and excoriate his attackers, and sites by Ted Sampley, Swift Boat Vets.

I didn’t find sites by fellow POWS seeking to exonerate McCain.
Or by former superior officers who remembered details of his record that passed through their hands, seeking to say, they couldn’t reveal facts they knew for a fact from his sealed documents but THEY KNOW that McCain is all he says he is, etc. et al….

About three weeks ago as I wrassled with my own proud spirit – yes, I frequently do that! – a friend sent a chain e-mail about The Center of the Bible.
Turns out it “JUST SO HAPPENS” to be Psalms 118.
To cut a beautiful presentation off at the knees, they go on to say that Psalms 117 is the shortest chapter in the Bible, and that Psalms 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible, and that Psalms 118 is the center chapter.
That there are 594 chapters BEFORE Psalms 118, and also there are 594 chapters AFTER Psalms 118 – and that 594+594=1188 – and that the Center VERSE in the Bible is Psalms 118:8.
[I do not know if Psalms 118:8 is the Center VERSE by virtue of being the CENTER VERSE of PSALM 118 - or if it is also by chance the literal Center VERSE of the entire Bible, too.]

But it is the Center verse of the center CHAPTER – and “strangely” it says, Lean on and trust in God more than on men. (Rose’s paraphrase – loosely)

This e-mail came to me a few weeks after I discovered the only settled and peaceful GUT FEELING in my inward parts was to NOT VOTE FOR A MAN I HAD NO RESPECT FOR, just because “THE WORLD” said I had no “CHOICE” – there is always a choice.

And I have in the past trusted a lot of people who were not ideologically perfectly mirrored to my own beliefs. Justifiably so!

And even if it is whether or not to renounce God and then if you refuse to, you then have to walk into the Colliseum where the lions wait to shred you – you can always make a choice which fills your guts with PEACE that the world cannot understand.

Voting for John McCain is NOT one of those choices, for me.

However, NOT VOTING for John McCain – regardless of the consequences, even if it means a DIM PRESIDENT, is one of those choices that I amazingly have perfect peace in my inwards guts, about.

And I want those reading this to know, I have a great deal about Obama and about Hillary that I object to, CHARACTER-WISE, on the basis of our CONSTITUTION. AND on their SOCIALISM.

However, I genuinely feel McCain is fully CAPABLE and DESIRING TO take us further into Socialism than these two and the entire DIM PARTY could EVER take us.
And I say that with an incredible amount of information about Clintonism that I fully believe, as the story about Bill being called Vacuum Cleaner Nose should reflect.
I do indeed feel they both should have been tried literally for TREASON and convicted and given the full penalty RATHER THAN BEING SET UP FOR MORE HIGHER OFFICES.
Of that I do assure you.

I just so do hold McCain in even FAR LOWER ESTEEM than all of that. SINCERELY.

If you don’t like McCain, that’s ok, but it’s not ok to spread falsehoods about him. You should do some reading before showing off your ignorance. I wasn’t going to say anything, but I see that some of the other commenters are gullible enough to buy what you’re peddling. You can start by reading McCain’s memoir, then read Bud Day’s book (copies of which are hard to find). You do know who Bud Day is, don’t you?

If you’re an example of a “true conservative”, then I don’t want any part of it. Some of these comments are exactly what I see all the time on HuffPo, full of half-truths and uninformed hatred.
