The SNL Barack-calls-Hill-at-3am skit
Not really laugh-out-loud funny, or even laugh-out-soft funny, this weekend’s SNL opening skit spoofing Hillary’s 3am call ad is only useful insofar as it reflects the Left’s continued misgivings about both the naif and the nag.

Um, Yeah… This is funny, right up to the point that China invades Taiwan, because they know that the tool in the White House won’t do anything to stop them.
The wide-eyed niavity displayed by the democrats is truely frightening. I fear for the cause of freedom.
It is funny! Precisely because it shows the left is vacillating and full of misgivings! Thanks for putting this up here!
However, I agree that none of us would be laughing if either of them gets the job.
If either of these 2 “rookies” win, the true “President” will be the democratic congressional leadership. Both candidates keep talking domestic issues, when the true job entails dealing with the international community, with which they have no agenda and no idea what to do. There will be a lot of “Ok, sounds good to me” coming out of the Oval Office and a lot of backing down (their idea of “compromise”).
Calling Obama and Clinton rookies is an insult to rookies everywhere.
That skit was strictly average.
And then Iran will launch ballistic missiles into Israel using the same logic.

Whereas this is all fun and games and more or less is intended to sooth the tension and instill some laughter, all it does for me is scare the **** outta me because that is more than likely the accurate scenario.
We cannot afford OJT for anyone in a time of war.
That was funny. I think the celebrity leftist elite really hates Obama right now, but not to worry – they’ll get on board if he gets the nomination. And one or the other WILL take the number 2 spot. There isn’t going to be a dem party crack-up; Uncle Teddy will see to that.
I agree, but if Hillary or the Messiah is elected the war will be over and we will have lost. It doesnt take much training to surrender.
It is funny but also frightening. The libs, left & media all know (as Goldwater said, in your heart you know!)that neither of these vapid, unqualified, inexperienced, corrupt dunces are fit to lead the most powerful country in a more than ever dangerous world. But, with the BDS and anti republican rhetoric spewed so often, they would rather our country hang on the brink of disaster rather than put a republican in at any cost. Why is the NYT bringing up McPains melanoma now? When will the issue of his hemorrhoids come up? Or his chronic ingrown toenails which make him grumpy and snap at NYT reporters? Sick all.
hey, this doesn’t work (no sound) in Firefox. Had to switch to IE (argggggggggg)
The skit is slightly funny.
Everyone keeps saying that, but I don’t know. Hillary probably would take the #2 spot just because of her lust for power.
I think if Obama goes to the convention with a higher delegate count, but gets shafted by the super delegates, won’t be in a hurry for the #2 spot.
There are a few of reasons:
1. he’s gonna be mad as all get out.
2. he’s not as power hungry as Hillary.
3. if he takes the #2 spot and they lose, he’s tainted. (look at John Edwards)
4. if he’s not on the ticket and Hillary loses, in 4 years he’s got a good case to say “look I got shafted the last time and I would have won.”
That’s just my thinking.
To be humorous, a topic must have a lot of truth in it:
Rush Limbaugh
It’s an empty bed! Where’s Willie?
Gee, I wonder who they want to win.
If Obama goes to the convention with more delegates, the Superdelegates will break for him, not Hillary. Whoever has the most delegates going in will get the nod, and the other one will take the VP slot, and the media will fawn over their brilliant party unity, the “dream team,” the “can’t lose” ticket, how they’re doing it for America, etc. etc. etc. I’m telling you, I could write the copy for ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and MSNBC right now.
And I would argue that Obama is decidedly MORE power-hungry than Hillary. At least she waited 30 years. He thinks he should have been president when he was five. Hillary thought she was inevitable because she’s worked and waited for it. Obama thinks he’s inevitable because he’s Obama.
This entire media frenzy about the two of them running with each other is almost a bigger farce than global warming. isnt going to happen. I for one am sick of hearing about both the dem candidates. barf.
There is no if,there is going to be a 3 AM call, then what?
I was just looking at the picture from SNL on the main page. Doesn’t that look alot like Lucy?
Imagine there was a crisis, couldn’t you just hear Bill saying, “Hilly….Hilly–you got some ‘splaining to do.”
Sorry Michelle, I laughed exactly 3 times. I especially liked the part where the Republicans posed as Democrats and there is no way to check. They were the ones who wanted open primaries, now it’s back firing on Obama. Funny.
Rational Thought said “I think the celebrity leftist elite really hates Obama right now”
You are forgetting that Oprah is bankrolling his campaign.
The Rabbi said that in life you can laugh or you can cry — so which do you choose? As much as possible I choose to laugh, and frankly, I thought the skit was funny. I did laugh. Out Loud. Several Times. And why? Precisely because humor works best the more insightful it is.
Watch it again and ponder the following: no Republican ad this Fall will come any where near this in points against Obama (should he be the nominee, etc.) Even Hillary can only hint at this. But what you saw there, complete with the Jimmy Carter reference (“They lied to me” — remember “Breznev lied to me”) is pretty much what we’re going to get when the brother from another planet lands in Washington D.C.
As an ex-Republican with an agenda, I have to say I am proud of SNL (which I haven’t watched in a very long time) for doing these terrific sendups.
It was funny until they mentioned the part about the “red button”… I don’t want either of them near any red buttons.
Who would call Hillary at 3a other than Bill for a ride home or to call a bail bondsman?
Looks Like SNL agrees with me on who Obama would appoint.
Bullseye!
I know it was supposed to be a jab at our Hillary’s 3am ad and her argument that Obama is not yet ready for office, it still made Obama look weak and ineffectual.
SNL is definitely in HRC’s back-pocket.
In regard to the comment on the leftist’s elite’s distaste for Obama, I think its quite to opposite and the skit shows it. Hillary(not to mention her husband) is the same old, tired news.
I too had a good laugh out of it.
I had no heat in my house and had to press the red button on MY heater..
glad I watched that skit all the way through..
We’ve changed our minds…..HA HA HA HA HAAAAA!!
It’s quite funny now…but would TRULY BE FRIGHTENING IF AN OBAMA PRESIDENCY BECAME A REALITY!!! UGH!!!
It was funny. Here’s the next to last paragraph of Dick Morris’ most recent column. It too is funny:
Hardy har har.
*looks at watch*
*realizes doesn’t wear watch*
*recalls SNL jumped the top level predatory fish that will remain nameless years ago. *
Bleh.
Don’t worry about “red” buttons. Any of those would be removed from the White House. These people are “huggers” and pacifists. While explosions were going off all around either one of them, they’d be on the phone apologizing and promising to send lots of money to help whoever is attacking us. Then they would be on the phone to the JCOS telling them to stand down the troops. “We don’t want to upset them more by defending ourselves.” That is…if we have any military after they take over the government.
I spent the weekend at a family reunion on my wife’s side. Most of them there were HRC supporters. The discussion was pretty civil but we certainly didn’t agree on issues. They never could articulate a very good argument for HRC. And, when we got to paying for socialist healthcare, illegal immigration, etc., they couldn’t back things up with anything other than they “feel she is going to make things better.”
I don’t want to see either HRC or BO getting a 3:00am phone call. But, then again, I don’t really want to see McCain getting it either.
I told them this weekend that we have been screwed by the MSM selecting the candidates for us. My brother-in-law started to argue that for me, until I pointed out that the media blackout was also on his Democrat side, including Edwards, Dodd, Kucinich, etc., not just Hunter, Tancredo, Thompson, Romney, Huckabee, etc. He even started to see the light on that, when I pointed out to him that the MSM has gone from simply covering debates to choreographing them by determining the questions that set the tone, etc. for the so-called debates.
The unpaid, lunatic bloggers at HufPo think the right wing has infiltrated SNL.
I watched this skit and I laughed. I thought it was funny because it made them both look like dopes, but it is a far cry from SNL endorsing conservatives. I thought Obamarama got the worst of it as he looked like at little kid talking to Mommy, and Hitlery looked like a Shrew (as usual). The part about Bill not being available was pretty hilarious (and defines what an alley cat he’s always been.)
