My guess is that this is the type of person who hides behind anonymity to write threats, he could never do f2F. These people talk big, threaten, bully, but, very rarely, come out of hiding to actually confront their targets. The description that best fits them is “coward”. All talk, no action. You meet people like those, all the time. Probably thinking how “cool” they are.

I humbly request equal attention to web sites that promote violence against abortion clinics and their staffs. Note: so far no military recruiters have been hurt while several abortion providers have been killed.

I know a number of the people involved in organizing the pro-troop rally this weekend and it would take a lot more than threats to keep them home. The gent who first emailed me a link to that GoE post you linked came back from Nam wearing a Bronze Star with a “V” for Valor on it. He’s still quite capable of grabbig two long-haired smelly people and cracking their heads together. You’ll recognize him at the gathering by the 1st Air Cav stetson he still wears.
Unfortunately there are some horrible nuts out there on both sides. It is my dearest hope that Blogspot follows up on this threatening post and that the GOE event goes off without a hitch.

With his terroristic threats he should have; arrested by the FBI added to his resume of being kicked out of the military.
Talk about seriously deranged. This guy and his followers are about a heartbeat away from a rubber room. The level of anger is disturbing. He talks a good game, but this guy is the type that would wet his pants if he ever got into a confrontation. His methods would be much more cowardly, and unfortunately bombing innocent people would fit right in with his profile.
From what I gather, he is not a combat vet, and never served in Iraq or Afghanistan. And a general discharge is an indication he was released from the military for some serious problems he had. From the looks of it, those problems were mental.

This guy is pathetic. I can tell you from experience there is one of these pieces of garbage in every unit. They join the Military, can’t cut it, and get kicked out, all of the time blaming the military for their woes. This guy was appartently an analyst which means he didn’t “fight” in Iraq. He was probably an intell type who did his job poorly, hidden behind the walls of one of the mega bases. If he’s getting out with an other than honarable that also means he was a screw up, probably a fata**, or a habitual problem causer. Guys like this are weak, and don’t have the balls to really do anything, or they would have at least made it through four years of service with an honorable discharge regardless of if he liked the military or not. I can’t stand people with no honor. I wish a turd like this would threaten me! Any time, any where, we won’t hide behind computer screens.

Okay, okay. The army has many, and needs many, people that don’t fight. Intel analysts are some of those. If this guy is the clown he appears to be, it is not because of the occupational specialty, it is because he is a clown. For those who are attending this rally -use caution, but if that nitwit thinks he has instilled fear in any of the patriots who will be in attendance… well, that is just comedic gold.
No, which is why he was kicked out of the military before his enlistment was up as I posted before. He also received a General discharge, not an Honorable one, means he screwed up big time while in the military. He also stated he was stuck doing 90+ days of guard tower duty in one of his articles, which I guess was his punishment after he was fired from his analysis job and I guess this is one of the main causes of his hatred against the military.
What I have not been able to find yet is what exactly his screw ups while he was in the military were. If someone knows anyone from his old unit I would love to hear the true story about his time in the military.
He probably doesn’t know it, but he’s part of an old Soviet propaganda campaign.
It’s interesting that he mentions “Winter Soldier”, which is at least an allusion to the Winter Soldier investigation which was a North Vietnamese directed propaganda operation.
An analyst wouldn’t see daylight, much less any convoy or patrol situations here. The only thing he had a chance to kill, was a soda pop at the PX.
Fired as an analyst, and given a general, means he left country early, and under escort to Dallas. There is no way this turd hauled any ordnance out of country, much less an “arsenal”. Customs in Kuwait is very good at disassembling your gear to find illegal items.
He’s a veteran by legal definition, but not by any Veterans I’ve proudly served among. Mr. Knappenberger has no honor, no balls, and no means to defend himself from the reality that he is a life-long loser.

All I have to say, based on some of these IVAW postings is that there are more troubled Iraq vets out there than we know. I think these guys really need help.
It’s interesting how they cover their “threats” with their Iraq War veteran status. Unfortunately, writing stuff like these posts only confirms the derangement of these individuals. They obviously need mental health counseling for their post-war issues or their BDS.
I would also be curious as to the backgrounds of these individuals. Are they actually “Iraq War veterans?” Why are they no longer serving in the military? Were they discharged from the military or did they voluntarily separate? What are their political motivations? Why do they belittle other fellow veterans (who they view as “chickenhaws”) for disagreeing with them? Anybody know?

when i was in basic we had a guy that left (deserted) every time he was on firegaurd, he was finaly booted out before even graduating infantry school.

He flew home under guard and believe me, the guys in Customs gave him a thorough proctoscopy before he set foot on any aircraft. No “vast aresenal”. Hell, I seriously doubt he even has a firearm purchsed here in the US. Something about him just screams “keyboard warrior”.

The original bomb threat has been reported to the FBI, DC Police, and his hometown police (based on his IVAW profile). I haven’t gotten to the Silver Spring, MD police yet since I couldn’t find an email, and work would question my long distance call to MD.
This new threat against Michelle Malkin hasn’t been reported by me, but I’m sure they’ll read it when they investigate the bomb threat. He’s also threatened the President of the United States (see comment #102) in September, and this was reported to the authorities above.
Just A Grunt, I agree with you that something needs to be done, but even though threats are made against Michelle do you think the government will take it seriously? I wish they would as I worry for Michelle and the GOE group. I just don’t see them doing it.

Okay, technically correct!! I was going to amend my comments somewhat. Our analysts do go out on patrols and we have them as the core of the Troop intel cells. While they take the same risks by going out on the road, they do not lead the way during actions on the OBJ and they are not out on multiple daily patrols. So, yes, they go out, no they are not subject to the same risk as our line Troopers. And, yes, we are all living hard. Analysts tend to be smart guys. Smart and with bad-attitude results in the crap this guy is spewing.

Took a long look at his profile and all the pictures posted. He says he was in for 3 1/2 years, then out. Odd time frame. All the pics including the one of the young boy in what is apparently his uniform (according to name tag) are sporting PFC rank. 3 1/2 years at PFC….including Iraq time? Then out 6 months early? Uhm, something tells me he was a ‘troubled‘ trooper.
Just in case anyone is interested I reported his bombing and violence threats to both the FBI and the Secret Service. We’ll see what happens.

My point is to respond to certain allegations in this thread that conclude this is a typical leftist, that the biased MSM will not cover this, and that when ideas don’t win resort to violence.
