Wow!
Yes. Definitely more than Guitar Heroes. How about just Heroes?
They are all heroes in my book.
God bless ‘em.
Un friggin’ believable… Great stuff!
Thank God these guys and gals are on our side. “Where do we get people like this”?
Pardon the OT, but Operation MySpace is going on as we speak in Kuwait. Currently onstage is Disturbed. Details are at the Fox News website.
I love it! A raise…lol….that’s great!
I don’t have the right words right now. Maybe later.
What a wonderful article. Thank you Mr. Yon. You really show that there are every day heroes out there and they don’t necessarily have to be of the video game variety.
On another note: Mr. Yon didn’t intend this reaction on my part but I feel it all the same. In one instance, I feel tremendous pride in our military men and women at the same time I feel the bitter sting of anger. Americans seem to be more concerned about the economy, food prices, oil prices, the sub-prime meltdown, even the elections but not as much about the excellent work our fine men and women are doing over in Iraq.
I’m just angry that Americans have turned their backs on Iraq because a)it costs too much, b)there seems to be no political progress on the part of Iraqis, c)they were “lied” to, d) there’s corruption, or e)if it doesn’t bleed it doesn’t lead. What I’m most shocked about is how many Americans want us out of Iraq but aren’t even involved in the war.
When Americans get their priorities straight will be the day this country turns itself around.
What the hell is the media going to do if we win this thing? I mean, they’ve been hiding coverage of it. We’re going to come home, victorious, and the public won’t see it coming. How on earth can we win a war, and nobody knows about it?
Great story, true American Heroes.
Saw a Marine in the store the other day…I thank him for his service while calling him a hero. He replied to me “it’s my duty, the heroes aren’t coming home, Sir” Made me so proud to be an American.
Great story! Glad to read something “useful” rather than the boring hum-drum media news on how we’re losing and should get out.
Awesome article. I read it at lunch and e-mailed it to work so I could pass on to my fellow Airmen.
Heros. American Heros. May God Bless them all.
Micheal Yon is always a great read, I wish he would like to see him get more national exposure.
Some Politicians could get this, but I’m not holding my breath.
I
wish hewould like to see him get more national exposure.
