Anarchists heart the Times Square biker bomber
Yesterday, I told you about multiple threats against pro-military activists headed to Washington, D.C. this week to counter the anti-war mob and spotlighted the Left’s continuing silence about the escalating war on military recruiters.
Today, I point you to a “solidarity sticker” that was distributed at last week’s national anarchist conference (no joke) in Washington, D.C.:

Washington, D.C., March 4, 2008 – A national coalition of pro-troop and veteran organizations is gathering in the Washington area next week to oppose a planned reenactment of Sen. John Kerry’s infamous “Winter Solider” anti-Vietnam War event that, like its predecessor, will feature “testimony” alleging atrocities committed by American troops this time in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Eagles Up and other organizations are taking aim at Winter Soldier II, patterned after a similar event staged by Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry’s Vietnam Veterans Against the War in 1971. Although most of the “veterans” who “testified” in Kerry’s event a generation ago were later found to be frauds, and their testimony was either disproved or impossible to verify, the damage to the Vietnam generation was long enduring.
Hosted by Iraq Veterans Against the War, the ANSWER coalition, CODE PINK, MOVEON.ORG, and associated organizations this generation’s Winter Soldier reenactment is considered to be on a par with its predecessor, with a twist. In 1971 the media accepted the stories of atrocities literally without question, and Kerry even testified before Congress using graphic images of torture and murder, which he claimed were widespread and American military policy.
But Eagles Up and the other pro-troop organizations including Move America Forward and Rolling Thunder will not allow this attack on our troops to go unchallenged. Vietnam and Iraq war veterans and their supporters are demanding that all who participate in the IVAW event submit to identification verification and that their claims are specific including times, dates, places, units involved, leadership and witnesses.
In addition, anyone claiming to have participated in or witnessed an atrocity without attempting to halt it or report it will be referred to the appropriate civilian and military authorities as participants in or accessories to war crimes. Eagles Up leader, Col. Harry Riley, US Army (ret.) said “We have two objectives: To counter and challenge IVAW Winter Soldier II (WSII) Testimony on March 14 by demanding ‘truth.’”
Col. Riley added, “Our second objective is to participate in a peaceful march in Washington, DC on March 15th that reflects a view of appreciation, uplifting, pride in America, our troops and families. This will be a positive event with flags, banners, patriotic music, fellowship, and oriented for the entire family of patriots.
“Americans are standing up to attacks on our nation and people from those that tend to support the constant drum beat of surrender,” Col. Riley said.
Thousands will put “boots on the ground” in Washington, DC on March 14/15 to challenge one devious aspect of the threat on America – those that would have us surrender to the Islamic butchers and dishonor our warriors,” Col Riley added.
“It’s a sacrifice for many of us to get to DC but it’s also a sacrifice for our families and warriors to offer up their lives. The least we can do is protect their backs.”

I agree with peeze. There’s something about “organized anarchists” that strikes me as a little strange. Sounds like they like the name, but don’t really know what it means.
It’s worth noting that the first Winter Soldier run by John Kerry during Vietname was an exercise in finding plausible witnesses to repeat atrocity stories that were originally Soviet disinformation. Some of the Winter Soldier witnesses later admitted that their accounts were false and fed to them, in some cases, by John Kerry. The military immediately moved to investigate the accounts of atrocities aired in the Winter Soldier propaganda fest, but Kerry and the protest leaders ordered their witnesses not to cooperate with the military investigators. Obviously, had they cooperated, their lies would have come undone. Even without their cooperation, investigators were able to take apart many of their accounts. Some of the witnesses who claimed to see atrocities in Vietnam never served in the military or enlisted but never served in Vietnam or were in Vietnam in a support role.
We should welcome a repeat of this same propaganda exercise now that we have thousands of mad as hell bloggers willing to fact check every lefty lie spewed. Bring it on.

I will be waiting for our esteemed presidential candidates to speak out on this stupidity.
I wonder how many of these fruitcakes will still want to testify when they realize they’re facing war crimes charges, or charges of perjury. My guess is that they will run like rats from a sinking ship.

I dearly hope this reenactment will be a puppet show, and not get any congressional play.
My objectives in counter demonstration would be:
To vilify our brave soldiers from the GWOT, and from Vietnam.
To drag Kerry’s name so deeply through the mud that his name will be toast.
To reveal these anti-US fools such as they are.
The authorities need to step up and get tough NOW - the way things are heading, the US is going to be in some weird kind of civil war with countless factions if these extremist groups aren’t dealt with, and soon.
I hope that these idiots keep showing “love” to the bicycle bomber. Eventually, he will feel the need to step forward and bask in the adulation. Then….. *BAM*! (I mean that in the nicest way. /sarc)

Anarchism is basically Marxism, except that Marx believed that inevitable historical processes wold lead to a classless, government-less society, whereas Anarchists beolieve that they need to destroy all existing structures so that the utopian society will spring forth. there ar eother differences, I am sure, but they are relatively minor, IIRC.
Ergo, Anarchist organizations aren’t the contradiction in terms they would initially appear.

However, I now live just outside of Boulder, Co., and lived “inside” Boulder, Co, for thirty years before I finally could no longer take the hypocrisy and rude behavior of the left, and had to move out. Thus, I’ve known my share of “vegans”. Most were civil, but all were nutcases of one form or another! None were conservative.
I’m not talking about “vegetarians”. I’m talking about “vegans”.
Radio, I should get my cousin to sign up next time there’s an open process. She’s a vegan but she has a lot of food allergies and health issues. She’s very conservative though and truly dislikes 99% of the other vegans she comes in contact with.
