Hot Air TV: Sen. John Kerry confronted about Winter Soldier II
Cross-posted at Hot Air…scroll down for updates…
Grab the popcorn. We’ve got another joint YAF/Hot Air TV production for you, just in time for the anti-war confab known as “Winter Soldier II” that kicks off in Washington, D.C. tomorrow and runs through Sunday. YAF’s Jason Mattera, our intrepid special correspondent who cornered Jack Murtha in September, is back in the halls of Congress.
This week, Jason caught up with the original Winter Soldier, Sen. John Kerry, and confronted him about his unsubstantiated, troop-smearing testimony. Jason also tried to get him to autograph this picture. Watch:
***
Here’s the transcript:
Opening slate: On January 31, 1971, John Kerry organized the Winter Soldier Investigations, a media event that falsely accused American soldiers of routinely raping, torturing, and murdering innocent Vietnamese civilians.
Second slate: From March 13-16, 2008, Iraq Veterans Against the War has coordinated a second Winter Soldier Investigations in an effort to assail the U.S. Military in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Third slate: On March 11, 2008, Jason Mattera of Young America’s Foundation confronted Senator Kerry (D-MA) about Winter Soldier II and the Senator’s shady past.
MATTERA: Hey, Sen. Kerry! Jason Mattera with Young America’s Foundation. How are you?
KERRY: Jason. How are you?
MATTERA: I was wondering: Do you have any advice for the new group of activists who are organizing Winter Soldier II?
KERRY: I haven’t [unintelligble] what they’re doing or where they’re at. I just don’t…
MATTERA: Do you think this crop of anti-war activists, do you there’ll be any frauds like Al Hubbard?
KERRY: I have no idea. I hope not.
MATTERA: Do you think that they will make slanderous accusations–accusing the troops of raping women, pillaging villaging, just like you did to the Fulbright committee?
KERRY: Uh, I didn’t make those.
MATTERA: You didn’t?
Audio clip, John Kerry, 4/22/71: [They told the stories at times] they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country.
Kerry claims Winter Soldier Investigations were substantiated by further investigation.
MATTERA: Did you ever verify those –
KERRY (crosstalk): I’ve been misquoted about that hundreds of times.
MATTERA: So you never substantiated those charges before you–
KERRY: I proposed–I gave them to the committee because I felt that they ought to be investigated and that’s exactly what I said. These are the–many of those charges, incidentally, were subsequently verified by different entities.
Slate: No criminal charges were filed as a result of any of the [Army’s Criminal Investigative Division] investigations into Winter Soldier.
FrontPageMag.com, February 25, 2008
Slate: Much of the testimony that will be heard during the three days could not be corroborated by the Free Press in the ten days it had to run down each account.
Detroit Free Press, January 31, 1971
MATTERA: Could you sign the picture of the dedication the North Vietnamese created in helping–claiming you helped them win the war?
KERRY: No. No.
MATTERA: Do you have any thoughts?
KERRY (puts hand on Jason’s shoulder): Who do you represent?
MATTERA: Young America’s Foundation.
KERRY: Ohhh.
MATTERA: Does it bother you that the North Vietnamese created a memorial dedicated to you?
KERRY: It’s not dedicated to me.
Slate: At the Communists War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, John Kerry’s picture hangs in a section dedicated to the anti-war activists who helped the Vietnamese Communists win the Vietnam War.
End slate:
Reputations ruined.
Lives torn apart.
Servicemen maligned.
We can’t let lies like Kerry’s go unchallenged again.

Kyle-Anne Shiver at The American Thinker has an important piece on Winter Soldiers past and present:
Our Congress has already shown a willingness to be taken in by the kind of allegations these Winter Soldiers may be making. In 1971, the VVAW members were taken at their words, only to be found out much later after grievous harm had been done to our Nation and to the reputations of 2 ½ million American soldiers.
In my opinion, uncorroborated statements, not even rendered under oath, ought not be given much weight. According to the U.S. Constitution, every accused has the right to face his accuser and the right to view the evidence against him.
I have a real hunch that these vets calling themselves “Winter Soldiers” are just ole’ fashioned summer soldiers up to the same tomfoolery as their namesakes.
One can only hope that we are too wise to be fooled twice.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-
–HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWW
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MUCHO MEGA GRANDE THANKS TO ALL YOU GUYS WHO HELP PUT THESE TREASONOUS and treacherous SCUMBAGS THROUGH THE WRINGER THEY NEVER GOT FROM OUR (PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A)so-called “JUSTICE” DEPT!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Remembering your part, John McCain, in supporting and being supported by your goooooooood friend, Hanoi John!
Like when you SLANDEROUSOUSLY accused George Bush of slandering and smearing you in South Carolina in 2000 and 2008 Primaries.(Re Ann Coulter’s definitive column re same)
Up your nose with a Bird of Paradise!
WOW.
YouTube is telling me the video is unavailable, and when you go to the site and try to view it, it says it’s “private”.
More shenanigans?
Wow, that is powerful. Bravo!
No. Just normal YouTube incompetence. We’re swapping it out with Sevenload. Hang on.
why has the video been removed?
ok thanks
Its up and it is FABULOUS!!!!
Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Botched catsup Kerry is such a liar and a tool of the VC.
“This video is no longer available”. Youtube is at it again!
I’m a subscriber to your YouTube channel and I still can’t watch it.
Oh, Jason Matteras!!!
MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR MEGA DITTOS!!!
May God in Heaven add 8 thousand extra precious jewels to your crowns! More pillows for your dainty toes, or something!!! hehehehehe
Or something. In Heaven. That can never never never be taken from you.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!
Thanks be to Jesus for providing the opportunity, and the right man for the job to take advantage of the opportunity!
AMEN!
Working now.
It’s working now. Sorry about my impatience, Michelle!
WOW!!!
Where do these brave young people come from!!!?
Jason and the YAF are awesome!
I’ll be offering extra prayers for all on the “front lines” both here and to our brave ones “over there”.
I gotta be honest. This guy seems to have his names and dates in order from what I can tell, but his overall delivery is just rude. I would be embarrassed to go around hounding people like this.
Thank you, YAF..Michelle and Co.
The liberal sickness needs sunlight, lots of sunlight.
Good one!
Who gives a rat’s rear if Hanoi John Kerry is harassed! His actions resulted in thousands of honorable Vietnam Veterans across the country to be harassed, called names, and insulted after his manufactured lies and slanderous testimony before Congress appeared on national television.
The S.O.B. Kerry, deserves worse than harassment!!
Embarrassed to hound a pathological LIAR? Not hardly. For FAR too long, we conservatives have sat back like our parents did in the 60s and 70s did and watched this garbage take place.
Not this time. Not these troops. Not this war. No sir. If you are embarrassed to stand up and defend your country, neither shall you be heard, IMO.
My son is in Iraq at this moment and the more we embarrass the LIARS the better off this nation will be.
EAGLES UP!!
See you in DC, Michelle!!
#17 John said:
I don’t know how else he could have done this interview with a senator who couldn’t answer the questions truthfully, and was obviously trying to get the hell away.
Jason got to ask his questions, it was John Kerry’s fumbling of the matter at hand which made the episode uncomfortable to watch.
Kudos YAF!
HOOAH!!
…ARTILLERY is firing tonight, at Ft Lewis… I love the sound of the guns…
Michelle, thank you so much and thank you to Jason too.
Michelle thank you so much for making it available at YouTube, I really appreciate it. You work so hard and it is appreciated more then I can say.
Thank you!
God bless our troops!
dm I want to make 6 or maybe 8 statements but hey, its just too late I should be in bed.
maybe late tomorrow afternoon.
I love your work mm you are very good at your job!!!
http://www.wintersoldier.com/index.php?topic=VVAWFBI good stuff
Kerry put in less than half of a tour in Vietnam, came home and behaved like a punk.
There is nothing sadder now than watching this middle aged punk deny his conduct back them. He is still a punk, a liar and a traitor. Period.
Bravo Michelle! Bravo YAF! Love it.
On the schedule of events for ws2; I don’t see the names or units of any person who is going to testify. This appears to be all ‘bla, bla, bla, and no substance to me.
I guess John doesn’t watch much tv or has never seen a Fat A$$ Moore flick (can honestly say I wish I hadn’t). The newshounds are always hounding corporations, individuals, etc.
He put himself out there for the first WS go around, he can put up with a few questions.
The beauty of that video is that it catches the politician in his natural state without aides or PR flacks to polish out the rough spots. Perfect!
Wow.
A “truth to power” moment for Jason. An “inconvenient truth” moment for Kerry exposed in contridiction to his own Genghis Khan statements.
It’s an absolute shame that no one will ever see this stuff or point the finger directly at Obama. After all his base of support is the Beserkley, Olympia anti crowd. Well heeled kids with bandannas covering their faces led by aging academics and outright socialists. Obama will get a pass from McCain, as Bush has done with his critics (Kerry, Kennedy, Durbin, Murtha) The MSM will pummel all who oppose him and conservatives will howl to no avail.
What an absolute disgrace that man is.
Unfreakinbelieveable……
Jason Mattera, hats off to you.
I have in fact seen no less than two Michael Moore movies. Fahrenheit 9/11 and The Big One. They were required viewing for a humanities class I had. I didn’t car for those either and I found Moore to be rude, arrogant, and self serving in both of those films, which is exactly my point. Two wrongs do not make a right.
Sometimes, there is such a thing as respect and professional conduct. No different than when you’re at work. Sometimes you will agree with your boss or upper management and sometimes not. But the last thing you do is get up in anybody’s face like Lou Piniella going off on an umpire.
Someday soon this kid will get tired of playing super hero ace reporter and want to get a normal, paying job. Big companies looking to fill well-paying professional positions do not want a political vigilante on their hands. Who’s going to hire him with sort of thing following him around?
Well, they hired Kerry, “with (that) sort of thing following him around”.
And the point is, Kerry would never have acquiesced to a normal “polite” interview. As a MA resident, I am profoundly embarrassed by “my” senator, and I am supporting ANYONE who will run against him. Everything he got in life was obtained via lies or marrying well (twice). Legislatively, he is a joke. Anyone who can get the truth out of him is not “self serving.” He is doing us all a service.
Kerry does not DESERVE to be treated politely, IMHO.
Sometimes you have to “get in somebody’s face” in order to get a response. As above, his lordship would never allow a “hostile” (to him) interview to be made, where you can afford to be polite. Take note of which show he goes on: only the safe ones.
How many accounting firms care if one of their employees aggressively interviewed John Kerry. Who knows? In a company headed by someone defamed by Kerry, it might be an absolute plus! And he isn’t doing it for the notoriety or the money, like that slob Moore, nor does he have to fake the conclusions via artful editing like Moore.
Heck, half the country didn’t like Kerry (and still don’t)! How is that going to hurt him?
At least Jason did not throw a bag of feces and vomit at him screaming “BABY KILLER” at the top of his lungs, spitting in his face.
Now, that would have been “rude“.
One can only hope there are more honorable people like Jason coming up through the ranks. Bravo!
I’d like to see him approach Murtha again, and again, and again, infinitum, until that sleazy POS is never heard from again.
Listening to Kerry’s testimony you’d think he was talking about the religion of peace.
Too bad we didn’t have bloggers back then to check out his story. I’m guessing this time it won’t be so easy for these guys to to get a way with unsubstantiated accusations.
Come on John, talk about rude, how about the things the President has been called and hounded about by the so called leaders of the Democrat party.Hitler, pimp, idiot to name a few made by the antiwar crowd. But I guess thats OK.They have that right. If you noticed when Jason ask about his statements that have been on film for years he said “I didnt make those.”I was in Nam when he pulled that stunt. He became an overnight sensation. He went to the top of everyones need to frag list.
John and Jane. Two communist sympathizers that helped win the war for the communist North Vietnamese and allow Pol Pot to slaughter over two million innocent civilians.
John F. Kerry is a disgusting POS. I know that many people have even less admirable remarks to say about this guy but the mere thought of him even doing somthing for our vets stirs me to anger.
I want to thank Jason Mattera for asking the questions that the MSM won’t do. I want to also thank Jason for pointing out the things that Kerry did (as well as pointing out his anti-American hypocrisy) that the MSM won’t do. Thanks Jason. Some people really do get it.
He never said those things. After he said those things.
This is great journalism. Dollars to doughnuts this doesn’t get picked up by any MSM outlets. They’ll be busily spoon-feeding us the latest Paris Lohan Idol gossip. This isn’t in the agenda.
The golden moment is when he actually answered, “I never said those things” when asked about his accusations.
Selective amnesia brought on by Agent Orange, John? Please.
Dear John, the world as you know it has so changed. But, fear not, the Jason Matteras of the world do not ‘walk your path’……& you will never be faced w/ instructing them in couth or hiring them to BIG jobs! Ok Buddy..?…no problem.
God bless all who recognize treason and actually have the intestinal fortitude to do something about it. Thank you!
I have to agree with John to some extent.
Conservatives don’t need to behave like Michael Moore. Even many liberals now find Michael Moore’s approach annoying and distorting.
I appreciate what Jason is doing but would encourage him to minimize rudeness and distortions as much as possible.
Michelle,
Please pass on to Jason our thanks for a job well done! He cornered that arrogant SOB with facts from his testimony during Winter Soldier and reminded the Senator of his contributions to the defeat of the South Vietnamese government leading to the slaughter of millions. I did not know he was a hero to communism (learn something new every day) and wish the MSM would let the cat out of the bag so the voters of Taxssachusetts could know also (a guy can dream). It is very convenient how this traitor to the honorable Vietnam Veterans that fought as a legitimate extension of political power during the undeclared war in Southeast Asia now appears to have amnesia about his past words, acts, and deeds. Karma is great what goes around comes around and I hope it bites him in the butt hard. It will be interesting to see how many of this generation’s Winter Soldiers will be able to produce a DD 214 with proof of their honorable service in the AOR or be able to swear out a deposition naming people, places, dates, times, and specific acts against the established Rules of Engagement or the Law of Armed Conflict. Once again nicely done Jason!
Great job Jason! These interviews will be harder to come by, as you should now start to be recognized in the hallways.
Sen. Kerry was very humble in denying that the memorial was for him. He just didn’t have the time to thank all of traitors who played a role in losing a war we were on the cusp of winning.
He lied about our troops in 1971 and he lied to the interviewer as the transcrips show!!!
John, glad you’re life is so well rounded with the obligatory humanities class we all had to take at some point in our college careers.
Kerry does not deserve to be treated with respect. I realize that BOR is having him “help” out in trying to get a new GI Bill of Rights passed but that doesn’t matter to me one wit. When he was in Iraq, no one wanted to sit with him. It was pretty funny seeing those pictures. The military know all about him and they’re supposed to be so dumb according to so many of the elites.
I think Jason did a great job!
Arafat visited Ho Chi Minh after the communists were given a free pass by Kerry and his friends to over run the South in Vietnam. What Arafat learned from Minh was that the west would eventually give up if confronted and lose their will to fight. BOH and Hillary and over half of the congress are ready to give up in the war against Islamofacsism. Proof that Ho Chi Minh was right.
Oh, common. Rudeness is a lot more tolerable than the treasonous remarks form a senator who belongs where he can get elected - the liberal capital of the world. You think Jason was rude? You should hear the questions I have for Jon Cary. Tame by comparison.
Great video. Needs a sit back from you monitor(s) warning as every time I hear Jon Cary’s congressional testimony, I want to punch something.
You’re right. Rudeness is a lot more tolerable than treasonous remarks.
I didn’t say that I thought he was rude. But I do encourage him to minimize rudeness.
I don’t blame you.
John, corkie … you must understand one thing, if you don’t ever understand anything else about John Kerry. He was and is a traitor to his country. He betrayed his brothers in arms, and for that there is no forgiveness. The very mention of his name raises blood pressure, and to hear him denying his lies just increases the anger. An entire generation lost their heritage because of John F’n Kerry and Hanoi Jane, and the lying crapweasels at WSI. He rightly deserves to be harassed and hounded, just as he caused my generation to be harassed and hounded.
You know whenever I see Kerry I cannot think of one not one nice thing to say about that traitor…..If I said what I thought of him I would be banned from this site.

You nailed it Snooper. Our parents and others sat back while the scum gave false witness. NO, NOT THIS TIME, and never again.
Bless your son and all out troops.
I was with the GoE 3 times in DC over the last year. Unfortunately - I can’t make it for this one. From the looks of things, there will be plenty to do here in the Chicago area.
BTW Snooper, I only talked to you via phone the last time but never met you. You were at the demonstration and I was standing with the Nam Knights at the Wall.
Of course he deserves it. I feel no sympathy for Kerry. However, “giving it to him” isn’t necessarily the best strategy for conservatives.
Thank you, for not allowing to be done to this generation of soldiers what was done to my friends and family who served in the 60’s and 70’s!
Get some, Jason. Way to go!
While I dislike John Kerry, I don’t like people on my side borrowing the sleazy tactics of our opponents. Just think about how close this interview is to the disgraceful behavior of the guy from the Nation who confronted Michelle Malkin at the conservative convention. That sleazeball from The Nation confronted Michelle when she was alone and he could put a camera in her face and ask obnoxious questions. Then the dirtbag took a photo from an internment camp and asked Michelle to autograph it. Why adopt the tactics of the loony left? Kerry is easy to debunk the way John O’Neil has been doing it for years. Sometimes it’s better to have more dignity and class than your enemies. Having said that, I would make an exception for one person: Jane Fonda.
Get real,please!
Gen Giap of North Vietnam, gives ample praise to Kerry, and said he helped “Convince” them to continue their efforts, when secretely they (North Vietnam) until then was preparing their formal Surrender.
I hope Kerry burns in HELL for the blood on his hands…and wish he would have been charged with being the traitor he truly is…
Jason deserves award after award after award for his work.
Same goes for Michelle.
Exception noted and appreciated, but what Kerry did was only different from what Hanoi Jane did by virtue of the fact that Kerry did it here instead of in Vietnam, and I dare say that what Kerry did was probably more detrimental to the country, the war, and our soldiers than what Hanoi Jane did.
Hanoi Jane was/is expected to be a fool, Kerry was expected to be an officer. She succeeded. He did not.
The dignity and class idea is noted, and for us, we have to descend to their level as opposed to them having to raise themselves to ours. Unfortunately, this reminds me of the times McCain says Hillary is an “honorable person” etc. Sometimes, the compliment is just misplaced or wasted.
Dimsdale, the phrase “lipstick on a pig” comes to mind
Dimsdale#65
Well said.
Good!
“Swift boated”
Look for Keith Olbermann (D) to be outraged over this one:
“Michelle Malkin, the mostest worstester person in the wooooooooorld.”
Ok, looking at the ’schedule’ above, I don’t see anything about ‘testimony’ from vets (and I’m using that term loosely at the moment regarding WHO they have) witnessing / performing bad things- all I see is a bunch of politicizing.. cost of the war? Contractors? Race and war?
WTF? Couldn’t find anyone that actually supposedly probably (didn’t) see anything???
Wolf/Blackfive
After this video, it sure seems Mr. Kerry has some ’splaining to do. All the things he had seered in memory are pretty treasonous if false and he now is disputing he said them. Somebody find the documents that followed the allegations (testimony transcripts) through to the decision not to pursue them and some more questions will be answered.
And think, Hanoi John is the Senator that O’Reilly chose to go to to get a new Vet bill written.
Just so barfing.
And for John, wonder how “rude” he would be willing for someone to be if the cause were related to himself, and Hanoi John were directly responsible for that.
Treaties that Hanoi John and McCain worked very hard on to get pushed through Congress also removed American protections from South Vietnamese former allies to America, and let the North VietCong slaughter several hundred thousands of them in just weeks, without any MSM notice whatsoever.
During the Clinton Administration.
Fat business deal for a Hanoi John cousin in the shadows of it.
According to other Vietnam Veterans - not Ted Sampley.
When the day comes where such issues affect “John” directly, we’ll be sure that the reporters are NOT RUDE!
AMEN!
I think that the reason John O’Neil was so successful in exposing John Kerry back in 2004 was because Mr. O’Neil did it in a rational, thoughtful way. Mr. O’Neil marshaled his facts and Kerry’s distortions (particularly Kerry’s howler about being in Cambodia on Christmas Day, 1968) and conveying them to the audience in a logical sequence. That is what wins arguments, not following people down the corridor and demanding that they answer questions.
The loony left, and particularly the dorks from The Nation and Olbermann, have no dignity, no class, no honor. Why we want to borrow their tactics? Who is a better spokesman: Ronald Reagan speaking eloquently or somebody chasing a politician down the hall? It is just like the way I tell kids about winning a football game: Do you want to win like Walter Peyton did, scoring a touchdown and then going to the bench without gloating or do you want to win like Terrell Owens, showing disrespect for your opponents and making a fool of yourself?
You are too old to NOT be able to differentiate the righteousness or the evilness of the positions of the combatants based merely on what you think of the way each of them “fight” their battles.
Your way will cause anything of value to be lost and destroyed, and lets the enemy of anything worth having, and worth fighting for, have ALL the advantages while you hogtie the valient who fight for Right.
Meanwhile you will still be totally outside the ring entirely, still bowing to your opponent.
Grow up.
The rest of us went through this with Vietnam. Those who came before us had better sense than to go through it AT ALL. THEY took idiots like Hanoi John by the scruff of the neck and tried them for Treason and hanged them by the neck til they were DEAD! the Code Pinkos who attacked the Berkely recruiters station, as well!
We’ve been on that “POLITENESS” KICK ever since Vietnam.
In the history of AMERICA, nobody has lost more ground, and allowed more damage to be done on HOMELAND SOIL than Conservatives have allowed to be done to America by Liberals.
This ship has listed to the side and the lip is taking water, by the tons - it’s time to bail for all you are worth or get off and watch it sink to the floor of the ocean.
But this polite game of shuffling deck chairs according to a book of ettiquette has done more to destroy this nation than a civil war and two world wars all three combined.
And it is a lot deeper than you in your sleep state in a pan of boiling water are prepared to comprehend.
Don’t you realize your strategy didn’t tell the world he was wrong when he was testifying before Congress to a pack of Treasonous LIES - YOUR POLITENESS GOT HIM ELECTED TO A LIFETIME OF SENATE SEATS AND ALMOST TO PRESIDENT OF THE USA! Every generation before that would have tried him for Treason and seen him HANGED for it.
Isn’t ANYTHING in this nation worth FIGHTING FOR, to you guys with a huge Amy Vanderbilt book of ettiquette under your arm?
LOOK AT YOURSELF! WAKE UP!!!
NOW! or don’t bother at all!
Because it just won’t be there to NOTICE you one way or the other.
C’mon now, Ombre Rose, don’t hold it back - tell us how you really feel(wish I’d said that)
Being a wounded Vietnam Vet I have one major job left to accomplish. To pi*s on Kerry grave after he dies.
And stand in line for it, too!
No respect for office for me when speaking of “Senator” Kerry. I am a Vietnam-era vet and AF retired. He deserves NO respect as he was then and is now in violation of constitional law regarding actions by a commissioned officer during a time of war. He should have lost his commission and he also should never have been allowed to hold public office. Most of us are painfully aware of the terrible accusations he made about our Armed Forces and he is as bad, possibly worse, than Jane Fonda (not sure that’s even possible). He has never released his military records and his DD Form 214. Many of us believe he received a dishonorable discharge and has been able to cover it up) I’m Just sayin’because lots of vets groups have never been able to get proof. But, based on what we do know for sure, John Kerry has NO friends in the Armed Forces.
cpodug, I figure I can make a killing selling water to those in line to “water” his grave. The line will be stretch out for miles.
Ezu - twice - once for the Wall and once for me - you’ll make a fortune!
Wonder if people will get the hint that Kerry isn’t exactly a poster boy for the military?
Ombre Rose,
You’re right. In fact, I now recommend a strategy which will require conservatives to become unhinged.
To John #17: John Kerry, is that really YOU?? Don’t be shy. Let us see your face.

So, Senator, you were an officer in swift boats. Do you mean to say that you tolerated that type of crime during your seven and a half months in country and never courtmartialled anyone?
Well, if the opposing team all pulled out .45’s and shot each other in the kneecaps, Terrell Owens’ antics would have paled in comparison and your example would have relevance. Watching Kerry pathologically lie and lie again in the face of facts far outclasses any “misbehavior” by Jason. What will you remember the day after tomorrow, Jason’s questions, or the continued lying sedition by Kerry?
I am still waiting for the “polite” press to obtain and publish Kerry’s military and medical records. You know, the ones Kerry promised (on air to Russert) to produce? The ones that once and for all would prove how truthful Kerry was and how deceitful the Swiftboat Veterans were. Yeah, those records.
O’Neil and the Swiftees overcame the deliberate inattention (dare I say blackout?) by the MSM (press announcement in May, finally in the news by October) by persevering, telling the truth and being honorable. And to this day, scum like Kerry and the MSM still try to make the term “swiftboating” a perjorative.
Is being totally ignored by the MSM considered rude?
The “loony left, and particularly the dorks from The Nation and Olbermann” have no dignity, no class, no honor because the lie, misdirect, and fabricate “facts” to make their points. Reagan could speak eloquently and be above the fray, because he had a bully pulpit, which Jason lacks. If he stands up in the town square and speaks eloquently, there will be no “film at 11″ so the point can get across. Kerry can go on a safe show like Russert, and expect them to politely ask him softball questions, probably submitted to Kerry beforehand.
Don’t confuse what Jason did with what the likes of Moore, Olbermann and the other comedic “soup nazis” do.
I just read on Fox News site, a short article on the which side the media is on. Here we go again, back to the late 60s and early 70s with the media, “aiding and abetting” the enemy. Of course, it’s freedom of speech. Once again, soldiers will die because of their stupidity.
wow, that was so brutal. What does it feel like when the truth just rears up and slaps you in the face like that?
Asking for that autograph was the best idea ever.
Thanks!
BTW, the issue will surface again - feel free to save and use at will.
I have a nasty feeling we’ll soon be wishing we had thought it worth fighting for 50 years ago, when we had more people who prolly knew better how to, but were fooled into thinking they should just play it cool - now all the groundwork is not so much in our favor, as it used to be.
Samuel Adams - The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.
Patrick Henry - Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect every one who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined…. O sir, we should have fine times, indeed, if to punish tyrants, it were only sufficient to assemble the people!
There ya are!

Unfortunately, this reminds me of the times McCain says Hillary is an “honorable person” etc. Sometimes, the compliment is just misplaced or wasted.
I feel the same way whenever anyone wastes the term “honorable person”, etc on McCain, Hanoi John’s best bud and top defender (mutually, of course), as well.
Yeah, lipstick on a pig - the Bible talks about a pig with a gold ring in its snout, too.
Whatever twinkles yer toes.
As for me, I recommend a course of action in the very tracks of our Founding Fathers, who who were wise enough to have led us straight into the American Revolution over the Stamp Act.
You have obviously chosen the course of your own founding fathers as delineated in the Congressional Record on January 10, 1963.
Enjoy.
Samuel Adams - If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Sometimes it ain’t a bit of fun in the world!
But it remains preferable to take that slap NOW and deal honestly with it, NOW - than it does to postpone that confrontation til the Day of Judgement, when remedies that are comfortable - by comparison - are eminently more preferable than an eternity of regret.
Those who are teachable and have a healthy fear of worst case penalties will always learn to deal with issues sooner rather than later, when they have an option.

MEGA DITTOS, Ma’am!
At least, if he isn’t going to be punished on earth, he keeps on stoking those fires. He ain’t gonna like it down there. That is all I gotta say about THAT!
Well, for the moment, anyway
hehehehe
He seems apologetic. “Seems”
Hi,
I apologized for my actions five years ago, haven’t repeated them, and have moved on with my life:
