Another illegal alien May Day demonstration on the way
The shamnesty forces are at it again. Lucky for us, they learned nothing from the failed illegal alien protests of two years ago–when open-borders radicals took to the streets, tore down American flags, wielded ethnic supremacist signs, and spun out of control. The national backlash galvanized pro-immigration enforcement forces and paved the road to defeat of the Bush-Kennedy-McCain amnesty bill.
Not sure why they think a repeat will help their cause, but I’m not going to complain about their cluelessness. Bring it on:
Pro-immigrant groups across the country are preparing to stage a series of marches May 1, pressing the White House and the Homeland Security Department to halt immigration raids and move forward on comprehensive immigration reform.
“Change is in the air,” Juan Jose Gutierrez, director of the Los Angeles-based Latino Movement USA, promises.
This year marks the third grass-roots-organized May Day event with two unique factors:
— The marches are being guided by a national coordinating committee — The First Parliament of Mexican Migrant Leaders Living in the U.S.A.
— This is the first time that the marches will be held during a presidential election year.
Pro-immigrant groups from throughout the United States met in Mexico City in November to form the First Parliament of Mexican Migrant Leaders Living in the U.S.A. Attracting minimal press attention, they formed the first national coordinating committee for the May Day marches. The initiating body consists of 46 members representing 23 states.
“The idea is that every single state and territory in the Union where we have Latinos living and working should have representation,” says Gutierrez.
National political analysts have been in open agreement for months that the outcome of the 2008 presidential election will depend heavily on the Latino and immigrant vote.
Where the experts part ways is in assessing the impact national demonstrations will have on other voters. Even among Latinos, opinions range widely.
National Council of La Raza President Janet Murguia handles the subject with cautious concern.
“Marches visually demonstrate to each of us that we are not alone, but this year there is only one march that will truly empower our community and demonstrate our clout. Our next march must be to the voting booth this November.”
Elena Rios, president of the National Hispanic Medical Association, counters, “If the marches are anything like they have been in the last few years, where more of our community are showing their pride and commitment to their fellow Latinos, whether they’re documented or not, I think it’s fantastic. I hope it gets media attention — and more than just Univision and Telemundo. I hope we get on CNN and mainstream English media talking about the importance of the Latino vote in this election year. It will have an impact.”
“It will have an impact.”
Yes, yes it will:

BTW: Will Barack Obama join in again? How about McCain outreach director Juan Hernandez?

The North American Union fears are well founded…and they are winning by default.
How about this , how about if the American people kicked them out of the country and forever bar them from coming back here again . How about restoring the term immigrants back to those who deserve them like those who came here legally and restore the term criminals to those who came here illegally .
I am forever sick and tired that legal immigrants are always lumped together with those illegals by the media , the academic institutions and of course the elected officials of this country who wants their votes but want our money . I think it is time that these illegal immigrants as well as the Mexican government get a taste of their own medicine , why not all the States in the Union imitate Mexico’s immigration laws considering that the Mexican government likes to trample US immigration laws , we will use theirs to stop illegals from coming here and expose Mexico’s immigration hypocrisy as well . And 12 million illegals , they can be removed respectfully and with their rights intact as well as their belongings or if they want to fight and use our laws , kicked them out with nothing more the clothes that they are wearing and tagged them and it can be done .
As for sanctuary cities , not only do the Federal government fine the businesses that hired illegal immigrants , they should and must also fine the elected officials of both the state and local government , state and local employees who are illegal supporters with their own money . The amount for example that mayor Gavin Newsom would pay would be one hundred thousand dollars for every one illegal found in his city and the vice mayor , 95000 dollars and city council , the same amount. For Senators and Congress critters , 500,000 dollars for every illegal immigrant in their state and that does not include impeachment and jail time . For academic institutions, loss of Federal and State funding , massive fines as well as closure .It’s time to show these people who are the boss.

Here you go …
We hate gringos
We hire aliens
Glad to help …
Well Dino, I guess you said it best. Doesn’t really matter. Our elected officials do not care what we think. Learn to speak Mexican. Como?
Hey raging this is my plan…I’ve said it for years, if you want the government to actually enforce existing immigration laws…any illegal granted amnesty has no voting rights.
And before the unconstitutional argument comes into play…felons can’t vote.
So all we have to do is make illegal entry (via border or visa) a felony.
Go to Mexico and see what happens! Mexico has strong laws dealing with illegal aliens AND strong lows to limit what legal aliens can do! Check out US citizens ownership of land down there.
To prevent situation from getting worse, first, DHS should be sued by Judicial Watch for deriliction of duty. Then, illegal criminals, they need to be physically thrown out (not imprisoned .. not).
And not necessarily in that order..
This will be a bit like whistling in the wind, but here goes anyway….in an effort to bring a small bit of intelligence. There is a problem in order to solve a problem you first have to agree on terms, that is get your vocabulary in agreement. So for just one “little” example….If you begin by insisting that people from Mexico are NOT Americans you cannot even begin to address the problem. It would be far easier to collect every globe and every map in the world and “correct” them to exclude Canada and Mexico from North America than it would be to round up every illegal and ship them BACK. (a lot less bloody to). Our Government has allowed this! They are here, they are driving and voting with OUR governments sanction. Our Government and the Mexico Government have made agreements that they have kept secret from us. These people do NOT have any reasonable claim to demand to be granted Citizenship of The United States, nor do we need to grant citizenship’s to come to a solution. We could deny non citizens the right to vote, we cannot deny them the right to exist. So long as we are stuck at the first level “ throw out all NON-AMERICANS, there will be no improvement. Lastly…an intelligent solution would be one where we are no worse off than we are now. Creating an Enemy on our southern border would be a worse thing.
Do illegals have a right to assembly or is that only for Citizens?
I especially like the “illegal since 1492.” So anti-Italian/anti-Spanish. So clueless about history.
The wonderful thing about “this is our continent not yours” is that the inhabitants of this continent were doing such a bang-up job living here and getting along kumbaya-style when the Spaniards arrived. Peaceful communes of brotherhood, full equality for all. Human sacrifices. Ballgames where the losers were sacrificed to Chac Mool. Priestly uberclasses where peasants were subjugated through fear and superstition.
It truly was the Golden Age of progress and civilization on “their” continent.
Of course, none of this is even the issue here.
If you want to get a good look at “our” continent, I suggest you spend an afternoon at 61st and Figueroa in LA…or perhaps 17th and Flower in Santa Ana, CA to see what “progress” and “power” or “si se puede” is really all about. Taco stands. Paleta carts. Pawn shops. Immigration law. “Envios a Mexico” and prepaid phone card shops for all!
Soy hispanohablante, y esta manera de ser me da un asco terrible. Me es repugnante. Este tipo de gente no existe sino para crear un tercer America.
