The anarchists target the conventions
It’s going to get crazy in Denver. Really crazy. On top of the “Recreate ‘68″ mob, the Democrat Party will have to deal with anarchists looking for their 15 minutes of fame. Something called “Unconventional Action” is plotting to target “Democrat delegates, hotels, banks, military recruitment centers, and governmental and police offices.”
Slapstick Politics is monitoring the plan to crash the convention.
In Minneapolis for the RNC, they plan to:
…employ a three-tiered direct action strategy to disrupt the RNC. The tiers are organized in order of priority according to the number of participants; if a small number of participants show up, only the first tier will be carried out, but if the numbers are on hand, all three tiers will be in effect.
Tier One: Establish 15-20 blockades, utilizing a diversity of tactics, creating an inner and outer ring around St. Paul’s Excel Center, where the RNC is to take place.
Tier Two: Immobilize the delegates’ transportation infrastructure, including the busses that are to convey them.
Tier Three: Block the five western bridges connecting the Twin Cities.
Katherine Kersten has been on top of the coming street battles to be waged by the anarchist nutballs against Republicans.
Karl Rove couldn’t do a better job of conspiring to make liberals look bad.

It is so easy to disrupt and destroy, any terrorist can do it. It’s the only way these people can feel as if they’re doing something like they are real people.
Only someone inept would claim as a victory that they’ve disrupted a meeting. Just like the Palestinian terrorists that claim killing innocent teenagers is a victory. These people are the dregs of our society and there are lots of them.
That’s an act of war. It should be treated as such no matter who’s doing it.
How to counter a tier three assault.
Tier One…. bean bag ammo / Tear Gas
Tier Two…. Live Ammo
Tier Three.. Body Bags
You know, zip-ties are cheap. It would NOT take many police officers long to zip these idiots up and haul them off. Especially in light of the idea they approve the use of bombs.
#3…very similar protocol to the Chinese government.
except without step 1
Organ harvesting perhaps?
nah, i left out tanks….
it was of course Humor….
let me say it in simpler terms for you…
these people need to get a life.
maetpie,
Why don’t we just use the special forces that brought down #7?
soap special forces are busy and cant attend, the’re smack dab in the middle of operation “cropcircle”
Operation “cropcircles”. ROFL
You can bet the next attack that comes our way, it will be blamed on these special forces guys. They are so derned good, they could take care of these jerks and nobody would know – ever! Look how they took out #7 without a trace of evidence!!!
I still think it’s Rove. He’s just lost some weight so he can disguise himself as a plethora of head-in-the-sand activist groups.
Wow, how do these people actually support themselves?
But they are going to “PARTY” after.
Yeah, there’s a great idea! (sarcasm)
Let’s just hope grandma can delay her heart attack, and the Smith family can prevent their house from burning down, until these compassionate, non-aggressive liberals can present their half-baked political statement without the imposition of being interrupted by an ambulance or fire truck.
The RNC convention is not in Minneapolis, it is in Saint Paul.
That said, the Saint Paul city council is roling out the welcome mat for the ….protestors.
I was going to go to the mountain house for a few weeks…but now I must stay and help the recruiting centers.
Probably wont go all the way downtown (15 miles from me) but will visit the suburban centers for sure.
I had a bad feeling when Denver WON this convention….yuk
Now, with these crazy fools, we’ll probably spend more on security than the Dem candidate auction brings in.
I think aj got it right in #3. I look it as cleaning out the shallow end of the gene pool.
It is time for the compassionate conservative in the White House to suspend Posse Comitatus just like Lincoln did and let our troops kick the living daylights out of these people desperately in need of it. This is way beyond peaceful and lawful assembly guaranteed in the 1st Amendment.
Ugh.. Kay Bailey Hutchison (”The Hutch” as we affectionately call her here in Tex) voted against this.. and she wants to show her face back here and be Governor?
No way in hell.. Keep that kind of thinking in DC.. We don’t need your kind in the Republic of Texas!
Ack.. wrong thread!
Pretty easy to be a anarchist when you know you live in a country where they wont
just shoot you on the spot.
I can hear the battle cry now: “ANARCHISTS UNITE!” ROFLMAO! I crack me up. Happy Friday all.
John Wayne is gone …
James Bond is retired …
Anyone got Jason Bourne’s number?
On a related note: At our last convention where we elect delegates to the district convention and the state convention, there was a huge turnout of Constitution Party and Ron Paul people (bear in mind that I live in the wacky 5th district in Minneapolis.) They elected most of their own as delegates. They had organized before the convention, had an organizer “guest” there with a list of all of their names. There was even a guy within the GOP there officiating with his Ron Paul button on instructing his own on who to vote for. The plan is to get their delegates all the way to the state convention and try to have the RNC become a brokered convention. They are doing this nationally – trying to take over the precincts that are hungry for GOP members.
Time to roll out the high powered hoses. It gets really hot in St. Paul in the summer and I’m sure those anarchists would love a refreshing burst of water that knocks them back six blocks.
If you can organize anarchists then you can surely herd cats – wahoo!
This should make for fun viewing.
I rather prefer the “scoops” they used in the movie, Soylent Green. Just police ‘em up and haul ‘em off the the landfill or wherever.
For a long time I wondered why the GOP had a history of holding its conventions in cities known to be distinctly unfriendly to the party. I mean, wouldn’t you want to have a friendly local government siccing the police on the various protesters?
Then a couple of things occurred to me. One, if there are going to be big disruptive protests and/or riots generated by out-of-towners, wouldn’t it make sense to have them in unfriendly territory?
Two, no matter how things go outside the convention, it only serves to make our side look better. No riots? OK, you have a big crowd of GOPers having a good time and basically showing the denizens of the “unfriendly” town that we’re real people, too.
OTOH, if there are problems with disturbances, the locals have to clean up the mess, the locals (should) get the inevitable bad press when the batons start swinging.
Me, I’m in favor of batons (and more) when the anarchists cross the line from peaceful protest to active disruption/destruction. But it never looks good in the papers.
Still… I’m put in mind of the line from Thank You For Smoking: “After watching the footage of the Kent State shootings, Bobby Jay, then seventeen, signed up for the National Guard so that he, too, could shoot college students.”
If they are trying to recreate 1968 maybe they can hire the Hell’s Angels for security. I would watch be glad to watch their convention on TV then.
They’ve been cheating on the demonstration permit process too. It’s a lottery and one anarchist couple registered separately with two different group names that really represent the same group. When confronted, they said there was no rule against it. Nice people. Here’s hoping they lose out altogether.
And sigh, I have to drive through this mess twice a day to get to work and to take my daughter to ballet. I’m sure the nutcases will be swarming the 16th Street Mall too. We’ll have to run the gauntlet I guess. I can’t wait.
They may have some problems in Denver. Laws here support use of deadly force in defense of self and property – the “Castle” laws may end up with the shooting of the anarchists when they try to damage the homes of those who live downtown.
Also, there is a “shall isssue” concealed carry permit here, and a big jump in permits in the past few months. With no legal requirement to retreat, these little anarchists are going to be shot if the corner the wrong little old lady with a 9mm in her purse.
Sounds good to me these immature and idiotic people get introduced to the reality that actions have consequences.
I thought that was what city officials had in mind for the Republican Convention delagates if they get unruly : )
How about Mitch Rapp and his Orion Team? According to Vince Flynn, Rapp and his small group of covert SF operatives have an unblemished record in dealing with terrorists, foreign and domestic.
Hmmm… maybe there are already on site.
Hmmm…maybe they are already on site. Duh.
