Ah, yes. Macbook Pro, the only way to go. I’m sad it took me over 20 years to make the move from Windows to Mac. (Even though my elder son has been trying to make me understand for all of that time.) I’m sixty and don’t like the idea of a face plant, but my Macbook Pro is pretty important. Hope I don’t have to face that particular choice.

Well….at nearly $2000, I’d probably face plant too.

Have yet to make the grand leap towards a MacBook purchase but I do love my iMac.

For my black eye, I made up a story about being abducted by aliens, who in the course of examining me temporarily removed one eye to insert electrode probes. I actually had one guy believing it (or else he was a bigger kidder than me). How about hanging on to an expensive violin?

Hey, still using my 900mHz G3 iceBook — since ’03! Not into the PC-Mac War; I simply chose the machine that most resembled my ’87 first love and most advanced (and terribly malmarketed PC of all time) — the Amiga! Ah, like back then, Amy would’ve left both PC and Macs in the dust hadn’t Commodore f’ed up!!!

Sigh!

With his income, protect the face. The Mac can be replaced, and the hard drive rescued. My income isn’t anywhere near his, but I’ll protect the face first. My laptop is insured.

The only good thing about a Mac is the OS. Other than that, wrap a chain around it and it makes a great anchor for my kayak.

i’d dive into a thicket of razors to save a macbook air…

and #9, because Mac, unlike Betamax or HD-DVD has always had an interactive cult following. not to mention, while Windows sured up the business processing market, Mac sured up the graphics design market. and since the iPod, Mac’s marketing has been phenomenal; couple that with people getting fed up with Windows and programs being offered for both platforms, Mac’s here to stay.

besides HD-DVD was simply inferior, while Betamax was a superior technology, but marketed poorly.
