    That is definitely the feel good story of the week. I am not amazed by the generosity of these soldiers and I’ll tell you why. Having been in the military for 22 years I have seen acts like this all the time, so I kind of take it for the norm. Sometimes I have to punch myself in the leg to remind myself that what we take for normal–is above and beyond for a lot of the rest of the country.
    I salute Sgt Gaven Cox and the soldiers that made this all possible.

    Our military folks are always doing something wonderful like this at home and abroad. On their own time they build schools and playgrounds, repair water wells, etc. It’s a damn shame very few Americans ever really hear about it.

    Darn it, Just A Grunt! I’d finally stopped crying when I followed your link, read this heart-warming story, and cried all over again! Jeez…my nice cotton, ribbed shirt is all covered in tears.

    I’ve always wanted a son…I don’t have children yet…if I ever do have a son I hope I get one like either of these two little fellas.

    He lives maybe 30 minutes from Dallas. I know one of the Army recuiters that covers that area, I will contact him & see if they can add to his bounty. They have a Hummer that is decked out in Army insignia, I am sure a ride in it would help. As soon as anyone gets the address & contact info., just e-mail me at ezupirate75@yahoo.com & I will get into the recruiters hands. I have no doubt he will do right by our young soldier

    As an Army brat, who became a Marine, and then a husband and father, I was very touched by that story….

    Funny, how the kids never want to grow up and be members of code stink, or become admirers of che.
