This is a wonderful thing. Absolutely wonderful.

Notice how Gaven wanted to be a soldier, not a police officer in Greensboro, NC. He knows where the real men serve.

The real story here is how the Children's Miracle Network was founded. Google it with "Osmond" in the search. Truly amazing! God bless you, Michelle for highlighting this story. Happy Easter, everyone! Rejoice. He is RISEN!

An awesome story adding another brave youngster to become an Army of one. I hope and pray this amazing little guy beats this thing to go on to live a long and normal life. It really does touch the old heartstrings and makes it tough to type this while being a little misty eyed, must be the spring allergies kicking in. Hurrah Army!

Someone should notify Code Pink about this.

At any rate, it was nice story and now I have someone new to pray for.

Wonderful story, but I hate myself that I can hear Code Pink rhetoric lamenting that the child was told to kill.

One would think he would spend time in drill formations or even giving orders for drill formations. Good for the military and good for Make-A-Wish.

Great story, thanks. But it took my wife out of action for a while - now I have to finish fixing dinner. I wonder how those "support the troops" Code Pinkers would take this story.

Wow. Thank you, Michelle, for linking to this story. Special thanks to our great Army and Make-A-Wish. And it looks as if he may be getting another contact by the Army from your reader,ezupirate75! I loved the photos, you can tell it was real for him.

My God bless this family and heal Sgt. Gaven---you and your family are in my prayers.

God Bless that little Soldier!

As an Army brat, who became a Marine, and then a husband and father, I was very touched by that story....

Funny, how the kids never want to grow up and be members of code stink, or become admirers of che.

The eyes of a child often see through to the truth and the good!!
