This ought to please Nancy. As long as it is not our borders. Mexico is also safe on their southern border thanks to US. And people still hate us? Hmmmmm
Would you like a little salt in that wound?
Come on… we had to help them buiild that fence…
After all, we wouldn’t want all those M-16s we gave to Hamas to get across that border…
/sarc off
You vixen!
“NIMBY!” Thus sayeth the Democrat Clown-works…
Look on the bright side: I’m sure if we had problems with illegal immigration, tunneling and the like, Egypt and the world community would pitch-in and help us build a wall…wouldn’t they?
The rest of the world loves to spend our money. And we are so hated for it. This must be what Obama’s crazy uncle Wright when he said,“America’s money….is flying out…..of the roost!!!!!
This makes no sense whatever, even by the standards of George Bush. Let’s see: the Arab world is awash in petro-bucks. Hundreds of billions? Likely, trillions of dollars. And we are supposed to build their stupid fence? Now, it they were to pay us $23 billion that would be acceptable. But of course not. If it makes sense, the government is adament it not be done. If it is stupid and self-destructive beyond belief, then Yeah! Go for it!
Wait a minute, isn’t there a sensitive ecology somewhere that this fence would damage or destroy? Won’t it be viewed as provocative by some terrorists group, somewhere forcing them to kill Americans? Isn’t it racist in some way?
I suppose George is thinking, as Republicans typically do, that if we build this fence the Egyptians will just love us like you wouldn’t believe and there will be peace and hugs everywhere and he will get a Nobel out of it …
Someone take their finger off the bassackwards button. GOOD GRIEF!!!!
List of countries not allowed to build a border fence:
United States, Israel
List of countries permitted to build a border fence:
Everyone else
Can’t wait to hear what the candidates have to say about this………just what I thought, nothing, because they won’t be asked.
No surprise. The US isn’t allowed to secure its borders and that is apparently just fine with our President and Congress. Everyone’s safety matters except US citizens.
Sand Fleas
A pearl of wisdom. This works domestically, too. The people who receive the most largesse from the government resent and hate us the most for it. A combination of frustration that it isn’t more, combined with the humiliation of having to take it, mixed with the unwillingness to cut the umbilical, and bound together with the contempt for those who would pay them for doing nothing.
Michelle, surely you jest, this is a joke, right?
/sarc off
I’ve got this figured out. This is a training exercise for the Corps of Engineers to allow them to work out the bugs of building a fence. That way when they get funded to build the one on our southern border they will be efficient and speedy.
I also hear they are going to build a levee near the Nile River to practice building those also.
Now I’ll turn my sacrasm off.
Happy Easter!
Ouch! Truth hurts.
Egypt! Probably to keep the non-muslims out.
AP just reported that the Pope baptized an Egyptian born muslim, Magdi Allam, now living in Italy and speaking out against the madness. Oh boy, wait ’till OBL hears about this.
Michelle,
Ignorance is bliss at this point. i’d swear you’re just torturing your loyal readers with articles like this
Where’s the environmentalists in all this? Does PETA know? Has an environmental study been done to assess the impact on…camels, for example? The fence could be crossing a migratory route. The people on the other side may feel discriminated against. Is that where Rev. Wright is, this weekend? You just can’t come up with 23 million and expect to have a fence built right away. You need committees and subcommittees. Has the Unions been asked for contractors? Can’t exclude those. This could take years to start.
Nope. Read the article please:
OK, the additional context provided by the article does help clarify and I admit I should have checked it out. But I honestly think it changes nothing. I actually wouldn’t terribly mind giving the money to Israel. They would know what to do with it. But Egypt? No way. The money will just disappear into the Egyptian bureaucracy, never to be seen again, except in the pockets of terrorists. Surely our idiotic government knows this. Right?
WHY WHY WHY do we keep giving $ to everyone else to protect their bordes, build their schools and roads, etc. ? I just got more mail from the RNC and sent it back with no money and “where is the fence”.
George Bush is a traitor and John McCain will follow in his footsteps. The sheer treachery of these kind of things makes my blood boil. The President and Congress spit in the faces of Americans each and every day. They are getting rich …aided and abetted by our subsidizing their illegal labor.Meantime we middle class Americans sink into the abyss they have created for our future. Still think Bush is wonderful…. anyone????
See! Even Egypt has a problem with Mexicans crossing illegally into their country. Then again, they are only doing the jobs that Egyptians won’t do.
Get the idea that the people running our government are on their own agenda and they have no fear of us at all?
Why should they fear us? We can’t even nominate our own presidential candidate.
Ugh, not another boondoggle.
‘”Just another day in “paradise”‘ of insanity.
You gotta believe that our guys are simply “sticking it to us ignorant, racist idiots.”
How else do you explain the timing and concern for the Mexican southern border and now Egypt?
Sorry, I hit submit too soon.
When McCain said “…I’ll build the g*ddamn fence”, he didn’t say where.
Do we really think a border fence will help?
Europe’s borders have all but disappeared. But, to work in a european country you must have permission and to have permission, you have to register with the government of the country you reside.
Employer enforcement will work here if the imbeciles are serious about stopping the invasion.
I am not against a fence or increased Border Patrol, or even our own military stationed on our southern border.
We have to stop the incentives. Even liberal, socialist Canada ended its destructive anchor baby provision of their constitution.
When will we get a leader that believes in the American people?
For me at least, Maisy (#24), now President Bush was the lesser of two evils both times. He was better than his opponents, and probably better than what we’re going to get this round. God help us all.
At least it’s Easter, and we can focus on the message of the Resurrection (for Christians), Naw Ruz (new year’s day on the 21st for the Baha’is with their calendar), and/or the beginning of spring (for those of other faiths).
that pretty well says it all, the left wing msm does that for us.
Just once before I get off this ride, I’d like to vote for the best of the 2 running, not the lesser of 2 evils. Be so confused I can’t decide which will do the best for this great country, instead of which will do the least damage and not vote for either.
23 million for their fence, 25 million to give hamas lessons on how to kill 140 million to hamas, and in the meantime a new york food handler has typhoid fever….thanks bloomberg, bush, mccain

Good for the Egyptians … they must have a stronger lobbyist than the US citizenry …
Besides … this is real money … for a real fence …
All we get is virtual crap …
How about they take their virtual money and shove it up their collective virtual backsides … then that money will have the same real chance to see daylight we have to see a real fence on our southern border …
