    On September 17th 2001, Hillary told Jane Pauley on NBC’s dateline that Chelsea had gone on “what she thought would be a great jog” and that she was going to go around the towers.     I doubt she realizes how ludicrous the whole thing was — the idea that the first lady and her daughter would have been allowed into a situation with sniper fire. And then that she would have to be the one to enlighten us all about it 12 years later. Like it wouldn’t have been broadcast 24/7 on every news outlet at the time to the point where it was seared into our brains forever. Like she and Bill wouldn’t have capitalized on the whole incident for sympathy.
