The Tuzla hustle: Enter the irresistible Hillary “sniper fire-dodger” Clinton photoshop/photo caption contest; Update: “Sleep-deprived”

The fun is already under way at F/R, where imaginary sniper fire-dodger Hillary Clinton’s kiddie human shield photo-op in Bosnia has photo-shoppers (and video mash-up artists) salivating. Join in and I’ll post the best entries.
Here’s a triple-snort-worthy image from Roscoe Karns:
And a related oldie-but-goodie from Registered:
The NYT covers Hillary’s admission of “misspeaking” yesterday in Philly:
As part of her argument that she has the best experience and instincts to deal with a sudden crisis as president, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton recently offered a vivid description of having to run across a tarmac to avoid sniper fire after landing in Bosnia as first lady in 1996.
Yet on Monday, Mrs. Clinton admitted that she “misspoke” about the episode — a concession that came after CBS News showed footage of her walking calmly across the tarmac with her daughter, Chelsea, and being greeted by dignitaries and a child.
The backpedaling was a rare instance of Mrs. Clinton’s acknowledging an error, and she did so on a sensitive issue: She has cited her “strength and experience” since the start of the presidential race, framing her 80 trips abroad as first lady as preparation for dealing with foreign affairs as president. That argument was behind her campaign’s “red phone” commercial, which cast her as best able to handle a crisis.
Mrs. Clinton corrected herself at a meeting with the Philadelphia Daily News editorial board; she did not explain why she had misspoken, but only admitted it and then offered a less dramatic description.
Mrs. Clinton said she had been told “that we had to land a certain way and move quickly because of the threat of sniper fire,” not that actual shots were being fired.
“So I misspoke,” she said.
Let’s fix that:
“So I misspoke lied.”

And for real: Chelsea tells Hillary supporters how she managed to stay alive! Snort.
Update: Satire king Scott Ott at Scrappleface has unearthed the real “raw video and audio” from Hillary’s Tuzla adventure:
Update: Chris Matthews’ leg recounts its own dangerous mission under sniper fire.
Update: Abe Greenwald at Commentary weighs in:
Yes, we understand that people have bad memories. Yes, we are reconciled to the fact that politicians often have conveniently bad memories. But Hillary has an excellent memory, and furthermore she wasn’t lying. This kind of tall tale cut from whole cloth is the special realm of the Clintons, and it is an indication of a dangerously deluded mind. When Hillary recounted her great escape, she believed every word of it.
Update: New excuse…
She was sleep-deprived.

Hillary – “Under Heavy Fire”
“Sleep-deprived”
Yah, that’ll never happen while President so WE can enjoy non-deprived sleep knowing such mind bogglingly obvious fantasies like being shot at won’t effect national decisions.
But I’m wondering…was she talking about having been sleep deprived then or now? Or has she been sleep deprived the entire time?
Just thinking about it is making me tired. Think I’ll take a nap…

On it.
Sorry for the delay in responding; you’re right – waaay too TMI!”
No sweat.
Yep.
Which is why I give absolutely no weight to any of that individual’s comments.
Anyone who would be so immature, narcissistic, attention-grabbing and exhibitionistic (is that a word?) forfeits any claim to have anything serious to say.
Sad to say, that individual CAN vote; and, what is even more scary, that individual’s vote counts just as much as yours and mine.
Be very afraid.
Hillary mis-remembered. Just like Andy Petite mis-remembered Roger Clemons using all those steroids.
It was a dark and stormy night that night 30,000 feet over Huan Lo, Viet Nam, when my Navy SEAL Team and I HALO’d out the back of a C-130. It was 1967…
Oh, wait, I misspoke. This was just a figment of my imagination. I was never a SEAL, I was never in the Navy, I was never in a C-130 at 30k feet, and I was only 17 in ’67, but it sure sounded good didnt it?
My guess is Hillary has a pretty active imagination too. Either that or outright lying.
PS – I know two former Navy SEALs – does that count?
This is one of the consequences of having a too long Presidental campaign. Two years now? Sooner or later, every candidate, no matter how good, is going to “step in the crap” and leave footprints where ever they go. Both Clinton and Obama are too inexperienced to survive a lenghty race; not with the baggage they carry. The democrats look like they’re imploding. Perhaps by convention time, 5 months from now, a “dark horse” candidate will come out. The two they have now are falling apart. Even McCain can fall by the wayside, over time, with the record he has. We don’t have anyone running for President that has the quality of a chief executive; certainly nothing the democrats are offering. Maybe it’s too much to hope for…2 “dark horse” candidates, one from each party.
You know you’ve ruined that movie for everyone here forever, right? LOL Gotta be the best image today!
I’m tellin’ ya, terrig, we got some talents right here on this blog. If my poor husband had seen that pic, he’d never watch the movie again. He’d have Hil hate transference from her to the movie, and we gotta preserve as much of the younger Stallone years as we can, you know?

Touche!
Excellent post!
Salt asked (#82):
Because that’s the choice you’ve been given. You want to vote intelligently, vote for the lesser evil.
For me, McCain saying we’ll balance the budget by cutting taxes even more is worse than Clinton saying she’s more experienced than she is. Both are bad, one is worse.

And you call me rude?
I’m sorry, but the camouflage one wins.
Hands down.
O.K. LGM, Lets first look at your unpatriotic rants from another side. Did Billy say Saddam had WMD? Yes or no?
Did the U.K. say Saddam had WMD, yes or no?
Did Saddam say that he had WMD, yes or no?
So, bottom line, Saddam lied and people died. Stop hating America, will ya? Saddam brought this upon himself and for you left leaning unpatriotic retards not to see it is a shame. Do you not want to see it for some “special” reason?
Next you will tell us that Bin Laden started war with America because of President Bush, Right? too bad we have Binny telling us in his own words why he went to war with America in his PBS interview dated 1998. Now put that in your pipe and smoke it.
John Ansell (#112) said:
I am a patriotic as you. Having an open mind is better for America than a closed mind.
In the early 90′s President Clinton (Billy to you) said he did. Saddam claimed in 2002 to have destroyed them, which then former President Clinton did not deny.
I confess I don’t know. We do know that those 16 words “British intelligence has learned…” were a deliberate mis-statement on the part of Bush.
He certainly denied it in 2002. I don’t know what he might have said earlier. Whatever he might have said, nobody would have thought him a source of good intelligence about the Iraqi military.
Now step into the wayback machine to just before the invasion of Iraq. Hans Blix and David Kay have been combing Iraq for months (years?) and have found nothing. Bush insists that Saddam has WMDs and that US intelligence knows exactly where they are. Those claims seem to have been deliberate mis-statements on the part of Bush rather than “intelligence failures”.
LGM, whose policy was it to have Regime change in Iraq?
They found nothing because Sadam would not let them go her, go there, go into his “palaces” of which he had at least 28. The UK exposed the sexed up lie which was not publicly. The UN voted how many? 17 resolutions and the last vote was 15-0 ! That is almost unheard of at the UN. Our house and senate authorized “any force necessary”.
John Ansell above put it well. The answer is then President Clinton. The only difference between democrats and republicans is that we do what we say we will do. No empty false blustering or promises.
#110:
Umm, Troll, I never called you rude – straw man #1.
And, I was not even referring to you nor your website – straw man #2.
And, for discussion’s sake – yes, I realize, a waste of time; but, what the hell:
1) What is rude about pointing out a public statement some clown made?
2) Since when have socialists/secularists been concerned about manners and rudeness? Please….
Sleep deprived? If this is how she’s going to act if she’s sleep deprived, let’s hope the phone doesn’t ring at 3AM. She just handed Obama a HUGE gift if he cares to capitalize on it.
It appears, in the words of Winston Churchill, that Hillary has uttered a terminological inexactitude.
Sleep deprived, huh? And that apparently fogged her judgment and she “misspoke”. Interesting, and this, coming from a person who claims to be ready to start on Day One!
Now that’s a scary thought.
Hey, maybe Eliot Spitzer was sleep deprived too! Someone call Alan Dershowitz…
OK, who’s making the Sleep-deprived t-shirts to sell on CafePress? I’m in for one.
I don’t remember if Slublog can comment in here, but if he can’t, I recommend his latest Hillary Photoshop.
Best contest yet.
Liar, liar pants on fire!
Can we pitch in to buy Hillary an assbestos pantsuit? Given her distaste for the truth, she’s going to need one.
Hill & Bill are two sides of the same coin, Chelsea, a cheap ‘bling’.
LG what you call torture really isn’t torture, compared to what the Japanese used during WW2. You want to use those methods or would you rather have New York City obliterated? Just wondering.
