The McCain camp sticks with Juan Hernandez, denies it torpedoed immigration enforcement bill
Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey was on the McCain blogger conference call this morning.
Bottom line news: The McCain camp is sticking with their open-borders extremist Hispanic outreach director, the unctuous Juan Hernandez, and denies Rep. Heath Schuler’s claim that The Maaaverick torpedoed the immigration enforcement SAVE act I mentioned yesterday. The McCain spokesman sneered that Schuler “had one too many encounters with a linebacker.” So nice to take the high road. At least they didn’t tell Schuler to “F**k” himself.
Way to shore up your base, eh?

Way to get the Volunteer vote!
doesn’t leave me with much confidence. I hope we have fun with a dhimmi president.
It is either McCain or Hussein. (Thanks for linking to this article, Almeehan in the post below.)
I’ll take McCain ANY DAY over Hussein:
Sure McCain has problems and his weak stance on Mexican illegals is a big problem.
But bigger than elected a Muslim president? Let’s get real here.
no kidding, he is sticking his foot in it on every speech when the dems are handing it over..
psst…. McCain…. shhhhhhhhh
OK, so Juan Hernandez takes precedence over the American people >>slaaaap<<
and “…Mr. Shuler had one too many encounters with a linebacker…”
Does anyone else’s face hurt these days from the constant hits we take from these politicians? How are we supposed to vote for someone who obviously thinks Americans are so insignificant?
There should be a line on the ballot that states, “A vote for you is merely a vote against the opposing nominee, not because you were ever my choice.”
Juan McAmnesty has a long history of thinking he’s smarter than everyone else.
I’m still looking for one of those $50/hour lettuce picking jobs he mentioned.
Despite that, I’m voting for the troops fighting the war on terror. That means I need to vote for Juan McAmnesty.
#3 I heard on the news (Fox - that terrible VRWC people)this morning that 1 in 10 people believe Obama is a muslim. Glad I am not the only crazy one around.
He just lost my vote.
I’m holding my comments until we consult with Irish Rose. Michelle might be acting unprofessional as a journalist by pointing out McCain’s endearing qualities.
Irish Rose….Irish Rose….Irish Rose?
Gemini,
So you would rather vote for Obama or not vote at all?
You think this guy will secure our borders better?
Not vote at all.
Apparently, McCain’s promised “outreach” effort regarding party unification involves reaching out to slap down dissenting views.
And to say that Juan Hernandez is an “unpaid” advisor is an outright lie. The campaign may not be paying him directly, but he is paid by McCain’s Reform Institute.
Hernandez, who served on Fox’s cabinet, took an oath of Mexican loyalty to serve in that position. And his position within Mexico’s cabinet was labeled as “Atzlan Ambassador” in the Mexican press.
Hernandez’s comments on the superiority of the “race” are very close to Jeremiah Wright’s rantings on race.
Gemini, even at the risk getting Hussein Obama into power by NOT voting? Where is your support for American troops?
Here is the Muslim foreigner we will be helping to elect if we do not vote in the election:
McCain’s a fool for keeping this guy around. The moustache must go……and that hair!!
Gabe,
There are no candidates that are committed to securing our borders.
Hell, none of these idiots will even enforce our dog gone laws that we already have!
Sorry Irish Rose I have to respond without your blessings, McCain is an idiot!
Anytime I have had to watch Juan Hernandez my BP shoots up and I have to take an extra dose of my medicine.
Again, McCain is an idiot and I plan on telling him when he comes to McCain Field(NAS Meridian, named after his granpappy) on sunday in Meridian Mississippi at the Blue Angels show. If I don’t get ask him sunday about Juan Hernandez then, I can try to ask him on Monday when he speaks in Meridian.
My support for the troops is just as strong as my support for a sovereign country and secure borders.
Just like McCain and his minions did not move to switch parties in 2001 and 2004.
Liars.
Your choices this November are to vote McCain and kill conservatism in the GOP or hope a Dem wins so we can keep it alive. Dead or in the minority are the choices.
Thank you for that rinoalert. McCain is not a Republican. McCain is not conservative. McCain believes in global warming. McCain believes in Juan Hernandez. McCain has bno experience on the economy. I’m still looking for something he can do other than claim ‘heroism’.
He needs to dump juan and stop talking about climate change it’s embarrassing.
Who in the hell voted for McCain? I seriously don’t know any Republican happy with this nut.
Newt Gingrich should have tossed his hat in.
The Maverick needs to lose Hernandez and listen to the American Citizens that refuse to hold their American Citizenship cheaply or expendable.
I will vote for McCain because the alternatives are far worse. Mc Cain needs to recall the oath he took decades ago…”Defend the Constitution against All Enemies, FOREIGN and DOMESTIC”
Hernandez is a FOREIGN Enemy. Clinton and Obama are DOMESTIC ones. ALL are ENEMIES of the Constitution and the security and prosperity of the Nation.
Just words.
When it comes to immigration the majority of our lawmakers are purely expedient.
It breaks my heart to have to vote for McCain, but I have to over bho and hc. We got stuck with McCain, the almost worse of the lot we had to choose from, but we got him. I simply can not imagine the two dem’s as President and what those two will do to our country.
L
Sorry, but all three of the potential candidates scare the #### out of me. McCain also apparently believes that paying for radical Muslims to become doctors and engineers with scholarships (paid for by we the taxpayers no doubt) is the way to prevent terrorism. He refuses to secure our borders. The more I hear about him the more I despise and despair what will occur AFTER November, no matter who wins. A losing hand is a losing hand no matter what it is or who holds it.
On March 28th, 2008 at 12:01 pm, Gabe said,
Love your passion, Gabe but let’s beat Obama with a solid platform. I don’t think trying to tie him in with being a Muslim will work. After all, he’s Christian. “Damn” Write he is.
I’m not voting this time around. I can’t bring myself to vote for an open borders guy. Even if he is a war hero.
Sad.
Somebody - please anybody - please explain to me how/why (with facts) HRC is worse than McCain.
She’s terrible for the country - but I conclude McCain will damage it more (other than possible SCOTUS picks - and that is only “possible” as I don’t see any history that gives me any real comfort that he’ll do well in that category.) SCOTUS picks are the only reason I’ll vote for McCain. I keep hearing - anything but HRC or BHO
I’ll grant “anything” but BHO as apparently I’m part of that 10% that think he’s still a “sleeper” muslim “blending in”. If you “convert” aren’t there supposed to be death threats? Where are the death threats. Apparently he didn’t convert.
Verbal diarrhea. McCain just Shut Up!
As long as Hernandez is anywhere remotely associated with McCain…. I don’t care if Satan himself is on the opposite ticket… I will NOT VOTE.
McCain has zero credibility on national Security no matter what his stance is on the surge, and the WOT…he is leaving the door open for attacks on our streets, and I want to know who has bought him off to Lobby and Legislate against his own country.
I’m with josetheguerilla,
I’ll vote, but not for McCain, Hill, or Hussein.
I suggest everyone start praying to whatever God you claim and ask for protection for our country.
By the grace of God we will get through these trying times.
God Bless America
How the heck did we get ourselves into this mess anyway? Maybe if we had all primaries on the SAME day we’d have different choices. (yeah I’m on my soap box about that again.I didn’t vote in the primary because McC was my only choice. I don’t call one option a “choice”)
No, informing the American people that Marxist Hussein Obama IS a Muslim and only CLAIMS to be a Christian will work as well. After all, it is true. Let the American people decide if they want a Marxist and Muslim as president just seven years after 9/11.
Before the article Almeehan posted in a comment, I was only strongly suspicious that Obama was a Muslim. I am Catholic and have a B.A. in Asian Studies and so have studied the Asian religions. I also studied in Malaysia. Something is just not right about Hussein Obama.
However, this well-documented article is proof that Hussein Obama is a Muslim. There is absolutely no doubting it now.
I challenge you to prove that Obama is a Christian, as he claims, despite no Muslim around the world believing that claim.
There is no way a real conservative would EVER vote for Obama or throw away their vote by not voting.
I pray you are right Rooster, but I fear the cost may be dear.
No se puede!
Correct me if I am wrong but, if you are born of a muslim father, you are a muslim.
He can claim he is a christain but actions and deeds don’t seem Wright with this way of thinking.
I was warming to McCain until he made his speech in LA the other day. Close Gitmo? We torture? Global Warming? Who does he think he’s the nominee of? The Democrats? Screw you McAmnesty, I realize it’s getting to the point that you can’t lose this one but unless you shape it up and damn fast, you won’t have my vote.
And I still will not vote for Mcbutthead…… PERIOD!!!!!
Just stomp on me.
I am still refusing to vote for any presidential candidate.
I am considering a vote for Nader. Just to vote for a third party candidate, in hopes that someday a Borders-Language-Culture candidate will do so.
It is amazing to me that McCain say he will not talk about BO’s spiritula mentor being a racist or attack BO on anything other than the issues (which is a looser for McCain), but MCCain has no problem attacking and lying about people he disagrees with (this Dem, which is rare, Mitt, Cornyn, etc.).
I recently watched It’s a wonderful Life and MCCAin reminds me of Potter.
A question for all who will hold their nose and vote for McCain: Will you hold your nose to REELECT him when he does not really secure the border and gives amnesty?
McSame is a self anointed war hero who spent five and a half years of the Viet war as a special prisoner and comfort nurse who refused early release by the Viets in horror of his father and grand father. His valor metals do not pass the smell test or normal Naval award procedures. By his own admission he capitulated with the enemy for favorable treatment before the Viets knew who they had. He has proven to be far more the capitulator than the Commander in Chief and far more the ‘deceptor’ than the strait talker. His strait talk usually postulates believing your lying eyes or what he said today. There is little proof he has learned anything from his so called life experiences.
#41 Realimmigrantchick…Ref. #37
I’m looking at this with a different angle, lately. I will not waste my vote by not voting, nor will I willingly give over to ne’er-do-wells trying to take over this country. So…
By voting for McCain, we insure that at least some conservatism reaches the White House. John McCain is aged, and a stint, just four years, will age him most rapidly. I don’t believe he can make it for 8 years. That means that the Republican Party has to insist on a younger, conservative driven Vice Presidential candidate. One that will take over for McCain, and add strength to the “Conservative” values we hold dear.
I think it is incumbent upon us to vote more for the “right” VP, than to simply shun McCain because of his lack of judgement on base conservative issues, and his maverick stature.
We NEED to insist on a strong conservative running-mate. Let’s look ahead, not pout about our poor option!
Think about this analogy…There is a large room half filled with horse manure. Now, do all we see is a bunch of horse-s**t, or is there a possibility that with that much s**t in the room, maybe there’s a pretty pony hidden under all that poop?
Moral of the story, let’s be optimists and look for that pretty pony, not pessimists viewing only a room of s**t.
To hell with McCain, and the pig he rode in on.
Considering the choices, I was having to reconsider McCain.. after this, forget it. Let the democrats take the blame for the following 4 years.
For those of us that have forgotten the May Day protests by the illegals, in OUR CITIES, guess what, May 1st is not that far away. I hear there are plans for massive demonstrations again. May 1st can’t get here quick enough to remind nimrods in our country that we are being invaded.
Didn’t Juan Hernandez claim on FOX that:
I know I am paraphrasing, but isn’t this pretty much what Juan said, Hernandez, not McCain.
#44 Right-on- I do hear you… I still don’t like it, but I do understand what you are saying.
Twiggman, my question was for those who plan to vote for Mr Potter. I am with you. I will not hold my nose, no way, no how.

That is what I am trying to think. Voting for Repblicans for congress is far more important than ever. It would keep a rino, aka, McCain from too much harm to our country. A republican vp would be a god-send, icing on the cake. I voted for Perot in protest to Bush 1 and we got eight years of bc. I have learned my lesson big time.
L
A few months ago Michelle had a poll concerning the GOP candidates.
I am still in the catagory:
“I’d rather be waterboarded” than vote for McCain.
Angry, anti-McCain conservatives (like me) have a hard choice to make. I respect conservatives who will not make the same choice as me (and that is probably most of them). But I will not vote for John McCain under any circumstances. I will not acccept a traitor on my own side who has repeatedly betrayed us. I utterly reject his extortion strategy: “You better vote for me or look what you’re gonna get.” I believe that the conservative agenda would suffer more long-term damage from a McCain presidency than from an Obama presidency. (Hillary is more to be feared, because she is a skilled politician who would make the carefully calibrated concessions to moderates that were needed to maximize the success of her very liberal agenda. Obama, OTOH, is a prisoner of the radical left and would face paralyzing opposition in the congress. He would get little accomplished, IMO, and would not be able to get radicals confirmed to the SCOTUS.)
None of the principle candidates would fail to “support the troops,” although McCain, alone, supports “the mission.” It is a distinction worth keeping in mind. However unpalatable it might be to retreat from Iraq leaving turmoil behind, no candidate would do so in a way that would threaten the safety of our troops. It is not necessary to swallow McCain’s treachery and to accept his open-borders policies in order to be loyal to our troops and to support them. This sort of talk is just more browbeating from Team McCain as to why we who have been so nastily screwed by him in the past, must bend over now and vote for more of the same.
Like we insist on no Amnesty and how well he listens? Like we insist on freedom of speech and not Someone and Feingold?
Sadly, I do not think he will listen to us “bigots” et al after the elections any more than he has in the past or does now. Therein lies the problem, right in the middle of all of that other horse manure he spreads so thickly.

10 bucks says McShame picks Lieberman for his VP, they just came back from their honeymoon in the middle east.
When the vote gets down to the real nitty gritty and the choice is the lesser of two evils, its still the lesser of two evils and the greater evil wins if we stay home.
Now is when we elect the next Pres. in 2012, it takes that long to get the next candidate in position, so if thats Romney we need to push, hard.
I liked the idea of all the conservatives not going to work. do it before the may day march and see which one has the bigger impact. take two days and maybe they will wake up.
How come none of the people who will vote for McCain are answering my question: I repeat it:
Will you hold your nose again to REELECT McCain when he does not really secure the border and gives amnesty?
Jose McCain, Baksheesh Obama, and Hillary are pretty much identical triplets, so maybe the thing to do is vote for McCain if he has a decent VP and hope for a Harrison type of administration.
Saw him on CSPAN last night. He challenged Obama on a debate about Detroit. He at least has a vision. With Obama all cities may turn into Detroit, but with McCain the country may turn into Mexico. Take your pick.
I am sure glad that you didn’t suggest hoping for a James A. Garfield type of administration. That, of course, would be an inappropriate thing to say.
This country has survived a revolution, the White House, and Washington being burnt to the ground, a civil war, Vietnam, when the loony left actually took over and lost a war, four Presidents shot in office, and Jimmy Carter; but if McCrazy wins, and gives amnesty to twenty or thirty million criminal scum, we wont survive, not as the country we once were. You people thinking about holding your noses and voting for the lunatic better be careful of what you wish for.We can fight Dhims on issues, but that loon will have the clout of the party behind him, and the RINOs will be led around by the nose, as illustrated by some of these posts. By the looks of the Dhims fund raising returns, (5 to 1),we wont have to worry about that jackass getting in. Dont worry be happy, we will survive, Support conservatives in the Senate and House, but dont vote for that jerk; if he’s beaten badly enough maybe the RINOs will get the message. If any of you still has a primary to vote in, vote for Hillary, at least she’s more conservative than McCrazy.
I’ll vote for McCain, because I can’t let either of the other two in office.
However, Johnny Mac will be receiving a steady flow of letters, faxes, e-mails, and phone calls letting him know my feelings until he gets rid of Hernandez and takes a firm stand on illegal immigration.
BTW, Is it just me or does that picture of Hernandez look like Alec Baldwin with a cheesy mustache?
Well said, I think you showed exactly what McShame is really all about. His time spent in the Hanoi Hilton effected his moral compass.
I can’t force myself to vote for him the way he is at this time.
Anyone who condemns those of us who refuse to vote for McAmnesty you may want to rethink your position. Where is it written one has to vote along party lines, especially when your party left you in the cold? I myself will vote, possibly write in Romney and as far right as i can on the rest of the ticket.
The primary election process has to be changed or conservatives are we’re done for for yrs to come.
whoops, sorry spell ck must be inop again. “The primary election process has to be changed or conservatives are
we’redone for, for yrs to come.”Great question REAL, no answers yet I see.
UUUGGGHHH-just checked my mail and there was another “invitation” to donate to McCain. It went into the pile of papers for recycling.
Again, I believe Heath Shuler over John McCain.
Campaign Commercial…
“John McCain…. ready to lead the rest of Mexico’s population onto the backs of American Taxpayers, on Day one”
(Voice over) Preceeding advertisement paid for by the Gov’t of Mexico, the Juan Hernandez for the destruction of American sovergnty Political Action Committee, and organization of Drug Cartels south of the border.
I appreciate your sincerity, CC, but I think I can assure you that the only one of your feelings that McCain cares about is the feeling that informs your vote. And you think that ~after~ he gets elected he will start listening to you?!? Think some more about it…please.
Bill Clinton was our first Black President.
John McCain will be our first Hispanic President.
Keep yapping Jonnie Boy keep yapping. Every time he opens is pie hole it makes it impossible for me to vote for POTUS this year. None of the above is still my write in choice.
America is screwed. Damned if we do, and damned if we don’t. I’m still of the mind that voting for RINOs only breeds more RINOs. Since we are going to hell in a hand basket, it’s better a real stinkin’ liberal like Obama holding the handle rather than yet another fake “conservative” like McCan’t. Sorry folks, I’m not pulling either lever in the fall.
I plan on a write-in vote for President this cycle. There is just no way that I can hold my nose hard enough to vote for McCain. The policies of the three leading candidates are too similar, and I would rather the Dems get the blame for the failures of the federal government.
However, I shall make sure that I vote in all the other races that I can–and for true conservatives.
Again..I will NEVAH, EVER Vote for this slimeball MCCain!!! A vote for him is the same as a vote for the other liberals. The fix is in and the American people have been left out of this election. Your vote counts for nothing because they are making sure this country remains up for sale. Disgusting piggish immoral politicians rule this country and they aim to continue to hold onto it.
One more reason to vote AGAINST McCain………….LINDSEY BIGOT GRAHAM.…want him running your country…???? Thought so…
I learned that I’d better get used to having to pick between a douche and a turd sandwich because it’s usually the choice I’ll have.
Let’s get out and vote!
Let’s make our voices heard.
We’ve been given the right to choose,
between a douche and a turd.
It’s democracy in action!
Put your freedom to the test.
A big fat turd or a stupid douche,
which do you like best?
Thread topic…”The McCain camp sticks with Juan Hernandez, denies it torpedoed immigration enforcement bill.” MM states “Talk” reference to article, I prefer to say lies, again. Does anyone in Washington tell the truth?
Thread topic…”The McCain camp sticks with Juan Hernandez, denies it torpedoed immigration enforcement bill.” MM states “Talk” reference to article, I prefer to say lies, again. Does anyone in Washington tell the truth?
Well said, masiy.
Whoopos…sorry, not fast enuf it appears.
Yes, but Americans could not recognize a true American Tom Tancredo. Now, deal with Juan McCain, America. As they say, in a democracy, people get the government they deserve. America deserves sell-outs like John McCain, BHillary ‘No-woman-is-illegal’ Clinton and Mobarak ‘Drivers-license-for-illegals’ (not to mention ‘God-d***-America’) Obama, after rejecting patriots like Tom Tancredo.
Then, WHY VOTE? No, it is not necessary to vote for someone you does not deserve your vote. Don’t vote. Let the s**t hit the cealing-fan. Atleast, you will respect yourself for not doing what your conscience did not agree to.
Isn’t Ron Paul still running? Vote for Ron Paul. Atleast you will respect yourself for voting for someone who is not going to ’sell-the-country-out’.
I’d rather NOT Vote. Lumping myself in with a man (Paul) who’s main core support, consists of Klansmen, Neo-Nazis and total Lunatics is not anywhere in the vicinity of a political Zipcode I want to be associated with…
