Another open-borders zealot on a presidential candidate’s team
I’ve written about Hillary Clinton’s campaign co-chair Dolores Huerta before. During the massive illegal alien marches in 2006, she spoke at a public school in Tucson and proclaimed that “Republicans hate Latinos.”
Well, she’s back in the news proclaiming ethnic hegemony and smearing ICE agents as ethnic cleansers, via Chris Kelly:
...In her wide-ranging speech, which was sponsored by Arts and Lecture Series Committee and MECHA Latino faculty and staff, Huerta railed against anti-immigrant groups, the North American Free Trade Agreement, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's proposed state budget cuts to education, and U.S. government inaction on immigration reform.
...She said illegal workers were a critical bulwark of the national economy, yet were faced with virulent anti-illegal-immigrant groups such as the Minuteman Project that she said were "linked" to the United States government.
She said Immigration and Customs Enforcement crackdowns had deported 290,000 people to Latin American countries in what she characterized as an “ethnic cleansing.”
But anti-illegal-immigration efforts were doomed to failure, Huerta said, as illegal immigrants and naturalized Latinos had gained a foothold in the country.
“It’s really too late,” Huerta said of anti-illegal-immigration movements. “If 47 million (Latinos) have one baby each … it’s already won.”
…Huerta’s reception at the community college was overwhelmingly positive.
…”I liked how she said 75 percent of the world was people of color,” said SBVC student Randy Dale, 23. “We are the majority, and we should be in charge more, especially in the U.S.”
Don’t look for Republicans to say anything about this nutball.
She’s an ideological soul sister of John McCain’s extremist Hispanic outreach advisor, Juan Hernandez.

Not only does she want to be the first female president and the first black president, now she wants to be the firs Latina president, too. Too many firsts here - does not compute.
Unfortunately the latinos she is talking about don’t believe in the 1 baby policy more like the 4 and ups and the we get to go to work and support them.

Ask any person who is pro-illegal immigration if the United States should ever get involved with the internal business of Mexico and I will assure you their answer would be negative.
However, by allowing (encouraging) the illegal immigration to occur, those in power in Mexico are allowed a release valve to reduce the pressure of making the necessary political and social changes that the country needs in order to support itself. I have no qualms against those who are trying to make a better life for those and their loved ones, it’s just that they should make the changes in their elected government and country to do so. They should not be allowed to be used as pawns by a corrupt government or by the power-hungry abusers on this side of the border. These pro-illegal immigration activists do not care about the people they “represent”. If they did, then they would encourage the Mexican government to make changes so their citizens could survive adequately within Mexico’s borders.
Oh yeah, before you label me as a racist, I am third-generation Mexican.
Deporting illegal aliens is ethnic cleansing? Not only is that completely off base, but it sounds like an insult to victims of real ethnic cleansing (such as that which the Polish faced at the hands of Nazi Germany.)
Yet another shovel full of dirt being thrown on the grave of “American Common Sense”.
I’ll say it again. We have been sold out by our own elected officials. I wonder if these people would want to be here if we had a Mexican economy. Of course not. They are not hard working, they are not grateful, they are not American. They have no interest in becoming American, They don’t need to apparently. They are bold thieves though. The chutzpah is staggering. But that comes from an impotent goverment manned my servile bureaucrats. No question that this will result in violence eventually, especially given the aggressive and provocative nature of these people. We will reach a tipping point.

This woman’s attitude is why her country (Mexico) is so screwed up and she wants to bring the same mess here. It’s a clone of the ‘moderates’ and libs screwing up the cities and states they live in and then bailing out for another state and doing it all over again. Just ask the folks in Washington state, Oregon, and now the south eastern states. Just like the harpies they are, the minute they arrive they crap on everything.

Isn’t ethnic cleansing when you kill off a race of people? I don’t think deportation to their countries of origin qualifies as a cleansing of latinos but, more a purification!

I called McCain’s campaign headquarters a few weeks ago to check some facts on his immigration policies. When I asked about sanctuary cities, I was told that it was ‘democracy in action’ and that they (the cities) decided what was best for their situation. When I pointed out that it has been against federal law since 1996, I was told, “This country was founded by breaking the law.”
A question to ask open borders advocates: “For what crimes, other than illegal entry to our country, do you advocate that the convicted criminal be awarded their ill-gotten goods (residency for illegal aliens, jewels for burglars, etc.), even with a fine? Do you expect future illegal activity to decrease or increase with this policy”

You might want to thank George Bush and John McCain while you’re at it. And while you’re placing your vote for John McCain for President, please be aware that there’s very little difference between this woman’s views and the views of John McCain or George Bush.

The last year has made it clear that Americans are not willing to do ANYTHING about it. Oh, yes … we made a lot of threats via emails, faxes and phone calls, but what WERE those threats exactly?
Voters promised that anyone supporting amnesty or open borders would be “voted out of office.”
So what happened?
Voters then nominated the three most open borders candidates on the ballot. GOP voters nominated the man who WROTE the amnesty legislation!
Good job! How do you think those letters, faxes, and phone calls are going to work out next time around?
The bottom line is that the only thing that’s going to make a difference will be to take to the streets, and conservatives have proven that it’s simply not an option. You know? We’re all way too busy with our families to give up a few hours on a weekend.

If these people were sincere they would be campaigning for more United States of America in Latin America. As their argument now goes they are only pointing out that to be sent back to Latin America is akin to being damned. I see their point though the region does have an established history of corruption, revolutionary groups of all kinds, poverty and a general backwardness that rivals any in the world. In some areas you will see many more donkey carts than telephones. Evidently these people are being forced to flee a greater population of primitive people. How long do you live next door to the USA and not take up even the most rudimentary of our technologies? I’m serious, I’m really wondering what in the heck is going on down there?

Also, at the risk of being misunderstood and called a racist…honestly, look around the planet with majority populations with people of color. No area of Africa is functioning…the Middle East is a disaster…South America is a joke. The reason that white-majority societies has flourished is because we do not have the “tribal mentality”. We can all see ourselves (even our brothers and sisters of color) as equals. There is none of this Shia vs Sunni…or Hutu vs Tutsi tribalism among us. Maybe their efforts would be better spent throwing off the bonds of their “tribe” and getting along with everyone else.
Look at who has co-signed the The Save Act and the discharge petition at NumbersUSA…those are the real Americans in congress. Not hard at all to see who’s side their on. I myself have 2 senators and my Rep. yelling they are anti-american.
As far as the 2nd amendment posts here, just keep stocking up and keeping the powder dry, the court hasn’t ruled yet and we have no idea what it may say in it’s findings. After all did anyone think the court would rule Americans only rent and pay taxes on their property that the goberment can take it when ever they see fit?

Yes Gregor, in #13 I agreed with thriteen28 #10 - they’re all bad. This thread was about Dolores Huerta, thus the comment about Clinton, but I agree with you about McClain and Bush. I’m stunned in fact that the GOP has sold out so badly, and have in the past commented on Bush being the best President Mexico has had. The total sell-out by Washington - both parties - is so out of touch with most Americans (I think) that I wonder what’s really going on.
A reality that will never be discussed with any honesty because of the guilty white syndrome that affects so many in the world.

We also love the profits that the global corporations pour into our pocketbooks even though American workers are being displaced in horrendous numbers. We need to take a step back - all of us - and decide what is really important to us. For me that is the USA.

What can any of us do about it? Elections? Let’s face it: we vote these sh**s into office and they serve only their own selfish interests. They killed the fence (we all knew that was coming) and not a peep out of any of us - save for a few frustrated blog comments. I agree that the 2nd amendment is there to keep our government under control but what can I alone do against a well trained military? We (the people) would have to get organized, but that would not be a stealthy endeavor. Once the Imperial Federal Government got wind of it, those involved would most certainly be relocated to less comfortable living arrangements not to mention blogs sites like this one being shut down by reason of sedition.
