I have to agree that this should not even be necessary. I am very disturbed by the suppression of free speech in other parts of Europe – please see the Drudge article about charges against Bridget Bardot for merely voicing frustration against the creeping dhimmitude in France.

As in almost every generation, there comes a time when the choices are stark and the actions horrific. 9/11 was the USA’s warning about Islam — and so far, to our discredit, we are acting in much the same way that the UK and France did prior to WW-II.

And, less anyone think that Islam isn’t the problem, I would remind you that Hitler and his Gestapho only represented a small percentage of the German people. However those who disagreed and didn’t go along with Hitler somehow ended up dead (as is the case today with those who dispute Islamic terrorists).

Today, France is involved in a low intensity civil conflict between its indigenous population and its Islamic immigrants. Many native French are emigrating to Canada and less Islamic Western countries. Many have voted along a more conservative line to stop the invasion. The question is how long will this simmering situation continue and what will be the eventual outcome. Will Islam take Europe as the trends suggest or will the Europeans rediscover their Christian roots and throw out the Muslims.

One thing is certain, however, the appeasement and apologist approach so favored by the liberals will not work. It failed in WW-II. It failed in dealing with Communism as Reagan proved. And it will fail here in the 21st century. Weakness emboldens and peace through strength along with a willingness to risk it all works.

Incidentally, fitna is spelled wrong in Arabic. There is no ‘ya’ in the Arabic, which is the letter with the two dots underneath. The ‘ya’ is more equivalent to the long e sound, or an ‘ai’ (as in main) depending on the word, of course.

And, the letters are in the reverse order.

Forgive me, but I consider myself something of an Arabist.
