Give me a conventional car that gets 80mpg (my non-hybrid Toyota Matrix can get up to 40mpg, which rivals some hybrids, without the extra cost and complexity). Expecting people to opt to <strong>pay more</strong> for "green" technologies is a losing business model, except among the most self-loathing of Hollywood leftists. It's not about figuring out how we're going to pay for green tech. It's about figuring out how green tech is going to save people money (and make money for the sellers of such technology).
