Not a joke: Police arrest dozens of illegal aliens working as…security guards
I wish I were kidding. But this is all-too-common:
More than 30 illegal immigrants who work as security guards face weapons charges, Dallas police said. Police teamed up with state and federal agents for the joint operation, which aimed to identify armed and unarmed security officers who were in the country illegally. The people arrested face weapons charges, because it is illegal for non-citizens to carry or own guns.
The investigation targeted 26 Dallas-based businesses, most of which were nightclubs.
Dallas County District Attorney Craig Watkins said the state will “vigorously prosecute” the people arrested during the operation.
“Hopefully, this operation will help us send a message that we will not tolerate the falsification of documents for undocumented aliens under the guise of providing security,” he said in a statement.
Yeah. And maybe the Bush Treasury Department will start cracking down on illegal alien matricula consular cards that undermine security.

I have a part-time retail job. We require a photo ID any time someone wants to use a credit/debit card. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been presented one of those Matricula Consular cards…
i live down there, btw and this isn’t the first time this has happened.

Illegals carrying guns being security guards? If I was a visitor to this country, I’d be laughing at how ridiculous the immigration laws are. But, I’m a citizen here, and it isn’t funny to me. The sad part is that, by the time the paperwork is done, they will be right back across the border working again; just an inconvenience and a temporary interruption of their paycheck.

Since when did it become illegal for non-citizens to own and carry firearms. Many states even allow concealed carry permits for resident aliens and other forms of non-citizens.

If there’s any consolation to the fiasco in Memphis last week, at least all the illegals there were drywall installers and ceiling grid hangers.

But why would a nightclub security guard need a gun? I probably don’t spend much time in that part of town.
At least some of the states and communities in this country are stepping up to the plate and doing the job the Department of Homeland Insecurity refuses to do. If Dallas, TX really wants to impress me they could go after the employers too.
I have to wonder if any of these illegals took away any of the policemen’s part time job and income.
Yeah too bad that Memphis didn’t at least lock up and deport “King Willie” and his resignation letter was a farce.

the only reason that they could get the gumption to go after these illegals was that guns were involved. Otherwise the Dallas PD and D.A.s office would never have allowed it.
I’m sure Dallas isn’t the only place this goes on. I wish they would lock up the employers too but don’t think that will happen. Until they do that, nothing much will change. Unfortunately, we have the three idiots running for potus and not one of them give a wit about the illegals and the problems they cause.
…and when do we start seeing EMPLOYERS and Business Execs, frog marched in handcuffs in front of judges???
When a few of these Chicken Plant Managers, and Execs who have suppressed wages that have Dried up jobs for LEGAL Workers in various areas, they will get the idea of NOT holding jobs for the sole purpose of attracting illegal workers.
Unfortunately, another logical extension of the off-the-books ethic that has poisoned American business. Funny, if employers put these shadow workers on the books and paid their payroll taxes, Social Security would be solvent in perpetuity.

The way to do it is to make an example of a few businessmen, but going after a few illegal aliens makes a good show, while still encouraging the free flow of labor across the Mexican border to marry American capital with Mexican labor in the Bush War on Wages.
It is actually a violation of your stores agreement with the credit card company to ask for or require ID. A Visa/MC merchant MAY NOT refuse a transaction if the customer refuses to provide ID. They can ask for it under certain circumstances, but they can’t refuse the transaction if you don’t want to provide it. So, a thief takes your card that says “see ID” and makes a purchase… if the cashier actually looks at the back of the card (many don’t) and follows the rule, all they will do is hand the card back to the thief and say “sign it.” The thief signs it (another good tidbit from the merchant rules is that the signature need not be legible or match the name on the card) and off they go with your card and their purchased goods… remember, the cashier cannot deny them based on refusal to present ID.
I guess these illegals were doing more jobs that American citizens wouldn’t do, right? Illegals with guns and working as security guards? Remember that story about the illegal who stole his dead cousin’s identification to become a cop somewhere in the Midwest? That’s even scarier.
