Gratuitous swipes of the day

By Michelle Malkin  •  April 7, 2008 10:57 PM

1) A Comedy Central blogger adds classy editorial commentary to the story, based on three anonymous sources, about John McCain allegedly calling his wife the c-word:

All the political world is abuzz today with allegations in a new book that 16 years ago John McCain called his wife a word that every man in the world should know better than to ever, ever, ever call a woman in his life…

John McCain’s temper is well documented. He’s called opponents and colleagues “shitheads,” “assholes” and in at least one case “a fucking jerk.” But a new book on the presumptive Republican nominee will air perhaps the most shocking angry exchange to date:

Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity, also let me in on another incident involving McCain’s intemperateness. In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett.

At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain’s hair and said, “You’re getting a little thin up there.” McCain’s face reddened, and he responded, “At least I don’t plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you [word that starts with 'c', rhymes with 'hunt', is interchangeable with 'Michelle Malkin', and somehow doesn't sound as bad when said by an Englishman].”

2) Business Week runs a pointless blog post about the Absolut controversy whose main purpose seems to be pooh-pooh the coverage of the story while covering it–and to slip in a cheap, pointless, and factually incorrect shot at yours truly:

The ad, pictured above, is part of the “In An Absolut World” campaign that promotes so-called ideal scenarios under the slogan. The ad shows an 1830s-era map when Mexico included California, Texas and other southwestern states. Some Mexicans, it seems, still resent losing that territory in the 1848 Mexican-American War and the fight for Texas independence, and didn’t like to be reminded of it. At the same time, some conservative Americans viewed the ads as inflaming cross-border tensions between the U.S. and Mexico. Among the conservative ad bashers has been intellectually suspect Michelle Malkin, who often substitutes for Fox’s Bill O’Reilly.

Well, at least he didn’t call me a “dumb f**k.”

God forbid we should find such an ad offensive.

The only “intellectually suspect” people would be those who found the ad itself inoffensive or did not anticipate such a reaction, and those who subsequently dismissed such concerns outright, or take swipes at MM while acknowledging that Absolut and the ad company should have had a little more foresight.

Morons. Keep up the good work Michelle!

And what about Obama? He just sits there for twenty years when Wright damns his own country and says nothing.
I guess we have to decide which one we want for POTUS. Maybe the one who will do the least damage? Of course Geraldo, the elite media, the glitterati and the euroweenies want Obamessiah.

Michelle, I would love to see you go head to head with this moron in a level-playing field of intellectual discussion/fencing match.
    BW moron: “En garde c**t!”
    MM: “En garde les incompetent!”
BW moron: Attaque with additional verbal playground racial/gender slurs.
    MM: Changement de Rythem.

Well, lgm, I can see where self-hating, pity-addict Caucasian and African American liberals would love that ad. Any chance they can get the approval of Hispanics and show off to everyone how “tolerant” they are at everyone else’s expense.

So, this may not be the best time to tell you that most Hispanics actually prefer English as the official language, and that most White and Black migration patterns in the USA are to the former Spanish colonies and what was Mexico.

Historically accurate? Sorry, but the USA has never adopted a Spanish name, not has any other portion of the Louisiana Purchase.

As for Big Bill, well, his intelligence speaks for itself in the cable ratings section, (Btw, how is good ol’ Olbermann doing these days?) not to mention all the people he criticizes are too scared to go on his show. Ney, they’d rather cast off brazen statements in front hundreds of supporters rather than face their fear head-on.

Sounds like the Mexicans might like to try a two out of three war contest. We should run 50 M1 Abrams down the road for a quick 300 mile territorial grab and see what the Mexicans have to say about that. Of course there would be associated boots on the ground support but that’s what our generals do. No one knows for sure what Mexican Generals do other than model the latest version of uniform.

Uh huh the media doesn’t have a liberal bias, then how come last April all you could hear about was Imus NHH soundbyte and that Imus should be fired immediately in the middle of his radiothon for Childrens charities?
