Left-wing student admits, “regrettably,” that calling a speaker a “dumb f**k” is a bad idea
I suppose this is progress.
And so is this.

Quoted in the first link above:
Except Tope isn’t a citizen. That’s the point. Call me an “echoblogger” if you must, but then complain about “moonbats”? And the difference in name-calling is…?
You know the liberals in our society it is all about feelings not about thinking. We think, they feeeeeeeel!
Well, the problem is that this doofus essentially admitted that he hadn’t even read the book…only a review of the book…which must have been unfavorable anyway….kind of like reading the Classics Comic Book version of ‘Moby Dick’ then going to a lecture by Hermann Melville and calling him a hack writer
So I read the first piece you linked to.
And the only thing I really gathered from it was ‘we all know how evil and vile MM is and how stupid, hateful and untruthful her arguments are. In fact, she is a dumbf*ck. Just don’t call her that in a public forum.’
Yep. That’s progress. I guess.
I wouldn’t classify it as progress.
big snort.
“analyst” in quotes. and of course, you don’t have your own opinion because you’re saying hat you need to say to “keep your jobs at Fox.” is he supposed to be of the more rationale pseudo intellectual ilk? he’s more disgusting than the punk screaming at you. does he think we’re stupid enough to not pick up the condescending tone?
MM a Howard Stern? Now I’ve heard everything.
AlohaGuy, I had the same thought. I had to reread that sentence a few times to make sure that he so ironically misused “citizen” inadvertently. The fact that Jesse Russell quotes it without comment is telling, also.
I think this is part of the problem today. Citizenship means nothing. Why should it when when you can still get free education, healthcare, etc AND get it all without paying taxes?
jimg,
You forgot to use the word “vitriol.”
Vitriol, vitriol, vitriol.
Curiously, the students who spewed profanities and insults did not commit the heinous crime of “vitriol.”
I wonder why?
I don’t know, I’d call it progress. Maybe they just sobered up a bit… But Jesse Russell dead on in one respect, conservatives like me will still say:
I guess this is the best you can get from a liberal. No sense of civility or free speech whatever; just that the obscenity was wrong because it gives you ammunition against the liberals. Presumably if the obscenity advanced their cause instead of weakening it, there would be no need to regret it.
It’s a step forward, indeed. But only ONE step. There’s more to come.
Jesse found a way to justify law breaking and cuss out Michelle numerous times all in one useless piece of rhetoric with this one truth…
“See, Madison is a wretched hive of scum and liberalism.”
In Infamy, it will live on.
No retreat, no surrender!
That has to be the most back handed way to say something is a bad idea. Then all the haranging about conservatives. I couldn’t read it all for the same reason I couldn’t watch all of Scarface: Gratuitous use of a word every other sentence.
You call that “progress”?
That was the most condescending, ignorant, attempt at closing down the subject of rudeness I have ever read. No doubt a sociology major.
Giving too way much credit. I’d say a basketweaving major.
I guess this was progress of a sort, kind of, maybe. I don’t want to get into an argument with anyone over this, but let’s just say I would hate to see what a regression is like.
In a non-judgmental secular society, anything goes. This is anarchy, and this is the future that the liberals want to give to the USA
No, the screaming punk is more disgusting. Stifling an unpopular speaker is more disgusting than writing juvenile, ad hominem attacks against an unpopular speaker. In the case of the latter, the audience can at least hear her argument and decide its merits for themselves.
You are being far too generous. Lil’ Jesse Russell was far more upset with the fact that spewing profanities made Madison look bad than he was with the fact that you were insulted.
Well, this was sort of like when a poltician says ‘Mistakes were made” or the non apology apology wherein they say the are sorry if anybody was offended by or misunderstood the remarks in question….they never take any personal responsibility for the actual verbal faux pas themselves…this guy clearly studied at the Bill Clinton College of Rhetorical Obfuscation and graduated summa cum loudmouth
Lefties like this remind me of those drones I saw while watching Star Wars last week. All lined up in a row, someone pushes a button and they all activate to say and do the same thing. Good little socialists. No original thought comes from them and woe to anyone who disagrees with them. Their arrogance knows no bounds.
He got that a bit wrong, about Madison…
It’s a “wretched hive of scum and villainy”…
They’re stupid kids. Eventually they will grow up. Of if they’re the spawn of liberals, hopefully they’ll become libertarians.
Madison campus is nothing but a den of scum suckers. Rude, narcissists and spoiled snots. I say this with conviction because I have a niece and nephew there who have been spoiled rotten all their life and have high entitlement expectations. When I went there to attend a football game between Wisconsin and my alma mater, Penn State( another school with big issues) the fans there threatened 10 year old kids that were with us. On the bus back to our hotel the Wisc riders were swearing and treating us like pariahs.
.” Calling her a “dumb-fuck” doesn’t do anything more than give her something to take back to her cult of echobloggers”
Wasn’t it awhile back we were labled MM’s Mafia or was it mob.Now I guess we are a cult that echo’s.Makes me proud,Makes me proud.
The thing that gets under my skin here is that Michelle gets up in front of an audience to deliver a speech. Perhaps, Michelle is use to it, perhaps it may even come naturally to her, she is a professional after all…but I think what I find so horribly frightening here is that, it just plain ain’t that easy to talk in front of large crowds (not even mentioning that in this particular circumstance it included a conservative writer/journalist at a University)…and THEN to get heckled, and THEN, being slandered! How about a little decorum ya snot nose little sniveling brats…..!!!!
I wonder if any of these degenerates would have the guts to get up there and deliver a speech and be able to stand up and take what Michelle just had to endure at the podium without wee’ing in their little barely post-pubescent pantaloons after the first verbal assault.
Michelle, as always….you are a class act.
MM kicks a$$!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m sorry, but at best those posts are 99% insult with maybe .5% apology or progress. The basic tone of both is that yeah, it was wrong for them to call you names, but you’re still a right-wing, bigoted, Fox News hack.
An apology is not served with the back of one’s hand.
It’s hard to beat Mrs. Malkin on the immigration issue, because she can throw out hard facts, and immigration law at you all day. She’s written a book about the subject called Invasion. Opponents of her view will often resort to calling her names, often referring to her race, gender, age, and beauty. These opponents are the ones who supposedly value human rights, multiculturalism, and the First Amendment. They ‘re also the first ones who try to silence her, going against their own value system of free speech, and individual liberty. They know they can’t win the argument, so they’re banking that the shock value of cursing at her will override what she has to say. They’re wrong.
I’m hoping that you started a leak in their mental dam, MM.. hopefully, they can start to question what they think and why.. and maybe even change..
Notice the veiled fear in that phrase. “hopefully”
Sorry, Michelle, the only progress I saw in this was the further exposure of how dangerous our society has become. These feckless sophmoric drones do not have the tools to survive in our increasingly dangerous world. It used to be that people coming out of educational institutions provided the strong human resource that made this nation the best bastion of freedom on the planet. No more at this rate and at this level of mental incompetence. God help us!
Talking about talking about talking.
Who’s organizing for social and political change?
Rome is burning. What is Madison Wisconsin contributing to anything that is important to conserving our Nation in a time of war? Madison is like Berkeley- long on talk but cant take care of business in any significant way that matters to a national cause.
What do any of the “talkers” in the article know about the actual conditions illegal entrants into America create where they live?
Check out the costs of “dual immersion” programs in public elementary schools.
Check out how much public elementary schools are paying for simple translation services to send out PTA flyers to “Spanish speaking” families or to translate basic policy documents for “Spanish speaking” families. LOT$!
The arrogance of the Left about the “immigration” issue is consistent with their disregard for drug laws, sanctity of human life, and religious freedom in society.
They can’t hold a candle to principled conservatives. And won’t be able to ever.
Michelle, I consider it progress from the standpoint that the left is finally beginning to learn how to argue our points with logic. From these examples, I am seeing “I can see you have a point” thought process emerging. For so very long all we have seen from the left is “my way or the highway” attitude. As Maha Rushie has said from time immemorial, the left has lost the ability to argue a point from logic. Perhaps we’ve made inroads? From my lips to the Lord’s ears!
Jesse Russell’s Regrettably, In Defense of Michelle Malkin dissertation is just a reach around of the ‘dumb xxxx’ comment. He/she is the kind of person you want in front of you when in combat. This person is a frag specialist. I would never trust this blow up doll in any important function.
Thanks to the other members of this forum for delineating Russell’s condescension.
Since nobody else said it. I just figured I would toss it in. Of course, I suppose it could also be considered as “progressive (il)logic” in action as well?
I read liberal columns every day, and I have to say, I cannot understand the logic in most of them. They seem to be founded on “feel good” politics, regardless of consequences, based on victimhood and instant gratification. They can’t argue their points well, because they are naive and ignorant of facts, so they use name-calling and the old cliques to make their case. Most are young and have never been anywhere. Many of the older ones, are hypocrites or plain stupid, like the rich columnists demanding that the “rich” pay their fair share, or hollywood types supporting candidates who want total control over the media.

OK, I’m calling you on that remark. Basket weavers actually produce something that potentially has value unlike Sociology Majors who contribute nothing.
See, Madison is a wretched hive of scum and liberalism.
Please support growth of conservative thought on the campuses – they are the future leaders, like it or not.
http://www.leadershipinstitute.org/ does a great job, it deserves our support.
I read this “apology” only it really didn’t sound very “apologetic.” Perhaps, the writer meant it as a back-handed compliment?
This guy’s blog “apology” was just as vitriolic as he accuses Michelle of being. How intellectually dishonest.
This is why I don’t send money to my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree alma maters. If I thought that there was an equal exchange of ideas on either campus, I would change my mind. Furthermore, my Bachelor’s alma mater is frightfully expensive (private liberal arts college) that has decided to raise the tuition whenever they need a new building addition.
Michelle, keep up the good work!
I understand Jesse is post-grad so upper division study is ‘underwater basket weaving’. Unfortunately an excesssive amount of breathholding leads to deterioration of brain cells from lack of oxygen. Students admitted to UW Madison usually have a deficit of gray matter to start with so you can see what this field of study leads to. You only have to read this screed to see the effects. All enuendo, no facts.
A coupled of things in Russell’s piece jumped out at me:
- It’s not like, you know, she might actually believe in what she’s saying. Progressivism 095: any expression an opinion “diverse” from Russell’s must be an exercise in cynicism or hate-speech, there is no other plausible explanation.
Classic projection. Progressivism 101, a.k.a. the “Ann Coulter Rule:” If you want to know what a “progressive” is doing or thinking, listen to what they accuse conservatives of doing and thinking.
Russell is taking quite a beating in her comment section, though, which is a good sign.
I get called things worse than that routinely in these threads. If you’re gonna mix it up with the masses, you need a thicker skin.
Heh. Look who turns up here trying to equate himself with MM. And to describe his detractors as “the masses”.
Heh.
NOT THE POINT. TRY AGAIN.
Villainy…
Liberalism…
While similar they are not quite the same thing.
One wants to break the law so they can take your stuff.
One wants to make the law so they can take your stuff.
Yeah, lgm, you’re the martyr of liberalism.
You reveal a lot more in this comment than you’d like to. My questons to you are:
1. Who are the “masses”?
2. Who are you refering to as “you”?
3. Have you heard of the following phrase made famous by MichellE:
BOO FREAKIN’ HOOOOOOOOO!!!
self-edit MichellE= Michelle. Beware the caps key.
Please, Michelle, don’t capitalize my last letter initial. I beg of you!!!
self-edit: questons=questions. What can I say, lgm brings out the best in my spelling ability.
“Swaggering vitriol”? From MM? Why didn’t they quote examples? Oh, they couldn’t because there aren’t any!
A. We didn’t need proof, we already knew about the hive of wretched liberalism.
B. We also know liberals can’t help it, if they responded logically, they’d be Conservatives.
Ahem,see what I mean.
I think since we began allowing dual citizenship, the concept of remaining loyal, of committing to your country really has been put aside in favor of globalism and “world citizenship” which is to say, none at all. It’s just an ID matter now. For many people “I’m an American” means “I live in America” the same way I might say I live in a particular city.
