SuperHillary! to the rescue: Clinton vows to cut murder rate in half
Just as soon as she’s done creating a gazillion new jobs, fixing Iraq, and saving every last homeowner from the subprime crisis, SuperHillary will get right to work–on Day One–slashing the murder rate in half in America’s most crime-ridden cities. There is nothing, nothing that SuperHillary can’t do. She’s got the experience. The know-how. The ability to dodge imaginary bullets and combat American Misogyny while battling sleep deprivation. “It’s not easy,” but she cares so darned much. So, how will she cut the murder rate? 100,000 new police officers, of course! Wait a minute. Been there, done that, debunked that.

Hillary Clinton on Friday accused President George W. Bush of spending billions of dollars to police Iraq’s “civil war” while cutting crime fighting in dangerous US inner cities.
The Democratic hopeful vowed to cut the murder rate in big cities by half if she becomes president, promised 100,000 new police officers on the streets, and laid out steps to cut America’s huge prison population.
“It is a sad day in America when the president can find hundreds of billions of dollars to police another country’s civil war, but cuts funding for police officers right here at home.”
“We deserve better,” said Clinton in a speech in a mostly African-American district of Philadelphia, a gritty northeastern city in Pennsylvania, which holds a Democratic primary on April 22.
As well as boosting police ranks, Clinton would spend money to try to reduce gang violence and drug markets, and would promote an initiative to crack down on illegal gun trafficking.
She would also spend a billion dollars to try to prevent prisoners reoffending, particularly targeting juvenile convicts.

If she couldn’t do anything about the murder rate in Ft. Marcy Park, why should we think she can do something about the national murder rate?

Is this like the time she promised to bring 200+ thousand jobs to upstate NY which has been suffering from an economic down turn for the past decade?
It didn’t take Shrillary long to break her jobs promise during her senate career. She hadn’t foreseen unknown factors that would make job creation more difficult.
I guess she hasn’t foreseen that border enforcement and telling the black community to strengthen their family units and stop relying on the government dole might do wonders for crime prevention.
Do you think she’ll ever say that to this most sought after identity group to the Dems?
I surprised she can tie her own shoe’s.
I’m still mystified as to where this billion dollars is going to come from, on top of all the other billions of dollars she’s promised.
Even if taxes were raised to 100%, there wouldn’t be enough money coming in to the government to even begin to pay for all the promises – especially with all the taxpayers now out of work and moving to the dole.
Smoke and mirrors sometimes just aren’t enough.

Go for it hc. Cut the murder rate in half? Deport illegal gangs, give law enforcement more authority to deal with murders, take guns out of the hands of criminals and put guns in the hands of every law abiding citizens to defend themselves. That is a way to start.

I’m waiting for her to suggest the US confiscate frozen terrorist assets, and use them to fund “enhanced policing”…of course, none of the policing efforts will be in the white collar crime area…that would be too close to home for many politicians.
By the way, that picture of Hillary lifting weights is so obviously a photo shop…her thighs are MUCH larger than that, and Greece doesn’t make a lifting outfit in her size.

Good point. Tim Russert addressed this during a debate and detailed that upstate NY has actually suffered a decrease in employment since she promised an increase of 200,000 jobs to the region.
By comparison, I suppose this means that crime will actually spike 25% when Clinton promises a decrease of 50%.

Not when you consider the fact that her pre-cogs will begin policing future crime in order to reduce the murder rate. And once people realize that you can go to prison for almost committing a crime, well, people won’t commit any more crimes. Voila. Problem solved.

It can be done. Just create the socialist society you’ve always dreamed about, Hillary, where people walk around like zombies, controlled all day by the government (Clinton). 1984 and “Animal Farm” together. No crime, no poor, no rich, just plain people staring blankly, blindly doing the job assigned to them, and then going home to a place with no kids (mandatory abortion), to start all over again the next day. Yup, could cut the murder rate quite a bit, not to mention emptying the prisons.
So what, is she going to gas every single prisoner? That would certainly do it. Empty the prisons AND cut down on murders in one fell swoop!
Or maybe she’ll just stop having people like Vince Foster killed.

Then I guess it’s just a coincidence that the drop in u.s. crime started in 1992 just 18 years after Roe v. Wade.
Since 80% of murders are among related parties it appears that Hillary has found a way to eliminate crimes of passion. She is qualified at this given that she has no passion and has not murdered her husband.
You want to cut the murder rate in half? It’s easy, and it’s been attempted before but shut down for being successful.
1) you promptly and publicly execute murderers. (over one third of all murders are committed by repeaters) Do it by public hanging with TV and everything. Those who torture and maim before killing get burnt at the stake (I’m not kidding)
2) you promptly and publicly execute every gang member caught with an illegal gun on their person.
3) you make sure all the young people see at least one public hanging. After they’re done puking on their shoes, they’ll get the idea
Really bad people need to be treated really badly. Anything else leads to a “so what?” attitude to punishment and you get today’s results.
I’m thinking that if John Lott is right, it’d be WAY more effective to issue free handguns and concealed carry permits to everyone in those cities…
And I thought that conservatives are always getting bashed by the liberals for creating a police state and she wants to go ahead and add ANOTHER 100,000 cops on the streets and the libs are cheering?

From what I remember “she who must not be named” has a million solutions to the ills of this country we poor dumb taxpayers can’t afford them all. Every time one of the three stooges running for POTUS open’s their mouth the keep talking about more government programs that will eventually bankrupt the American taxpayer. We are so screwed come January no matter who wins.

Let me translate this to Clinton-ese: “I’ll be confiscating personal defense guns in America, violating the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution. I expect to have collected 50% by the end of my first term, in 2012. Ergo, I will claim 1/2 reduction in murder. Yep, that’s exactly what will happen, I’m so smart.”

Hanging is one of the quickest and painless ways to die.. i.e. not cruel and unusual.. unless you are a liberal puke watching it..
public hangings for people on death row after a week of their appeal, singular, then on with the long drop and a sudden stop..
save the Taxpayers money.. hell, if that happened, I would say that the politicians have earned that CAL raise for that decade.

The word is “hanged”. We’re too “touchy-feely” and sensitive to have public executions. It must be done privately, with as little trauma to the audience as possible. The heck with the criminal. Personally, given a choice, I’d rather be hanged than given the needle. Slowly watching the chemicals coming down the tube, is torture to me. An open trapdoor, a quick “snap” and it’s all over. Firing squad is another way, I would prefer; over in a second. No watching the bullets slowly coming toward me. Pretty painless ways. Better than slowly going to sleep, thinking about it.
